- This is pianist Elena Kuschnerova playing Chopin's "Revolutionary" Etude, in C minor, Op. 10 No. 12. I think this performance is quite accurate to the score, sounds nice, and just flows off her fingers.
did you know: Chopin never named his pieces, (i.e "butterfly," "winterwind," "revolutionary," "raindrop," and so forth..) it was editors after his death that took it upon themselves to do that to help them sell more! Видеоклипы
Very powerful, passionate, and so fast!!! I like her as a pianist.
Quel magnifique tempérament de pianiste. Elena Kuschnerova nous transporte ! Bravo
Just fantastic, it is also great to actually see the Artist perform.
Yes, that's the way! Great delivery!
Of course, this performance is fast but not rushed. All played notes are full weight, all accents are set. It has a torrential quality.
Super !!
Love her technique! Amazing!
"WAAH WAAH WAAH, ITS LIKE, .00004 seconds too fast OMG."
She plays is fine, IMO. The music is all about providing your own interpretation of the piece. If I was looking for people to replicate the original performance I would just listen to the same version over and over again. This seems to base around a rift between those of us who approach performance as an art and those who approach it as a product.
seething passion, romantic imagination. outstanding.
OMG so dynamic..
WUNDERBAR!
Mit anderen Pianisten zu vergleichen ist eine grosse Absurdität!
Tausend Dank!!!
That's a pity that Glenn Gould has not recorded this etude. Probably you could hear Chopin weeping in it..
This hall is a well, there is no ceiling. This is why the acoustics is like this. The camera was consumer-grade..
Man, everybody who says she doesn't play this etude good is stupid. The speed is perfect and everything is quite extraoridnary.
true....
Dgaranin is right, she is a professional pianist! Of course she isnt over pedaling its just that the recording is low quality etc. Maybe she plays it a tiny bit faster than usual, shes probably likes it like that, its her own interpretation after all.
Belle version.
that's right, this is the original tempo for this song, is very fast
Check the same piece posted by ivrykeys, it has an immaculate sound..
uau
this is in C minor, i can hear it :P
The piece is in C MINOR, not c sharp minor
Look out, it's Madame Maxime.
"There is no ONE tempo..." --V. Horowitz
O-O
And Martha Argerich on youtube speeds up Scarlatti and everybody is happy.
Are you serious saying that a pianist of such a level would overpedal the piece? It is just the acoustics of he hall. Look up, there is no ceiling, it is like a well.
Richter on youtube plays this etude much faster and nobody complains.
Pas mal du tout, mais il manque (juste un peu) le passion et la fougue que Richter, Gavrilov ou Cziffra ont su rendre dans leurs magnifiques interprétations de cette étude de Chopin.
I think the acoustic and recording quality make this sound muddy and too fast, whereas if we could hear all the notes the way it was played it is probably hair raising.
Then you are very good, indeed, because Elena Kuschnerova is a great pianist. Post your own videos!
Ottima pianista, ottima interpretazione....emozionante...!!!
....Seppure un pò troppo veloce....
Brava comunque!
It's a difficult piece to play.
OK the recording is very bad, Yes she plays it really fast but is still excelent, besides Chopin wrote this studies with a purpose maybe he wanted the student to gain ability by playing the left hand very fast (in this particular study)
You mean. 'played' he is dead -_- lol ;)
i hate, this interpretation
