Excellent info there mate. I think I will start to look at where to get one from. I only want something that I can as you said chuck in and do a temp job when I need it and take it out when I don't. Thanks for doing that review. Very helpful! Cheers, ANDY...😉😉👍👍

I just bought one of these for my 4,000 gallon koi pond. It works amazing!

I use one of these. I don't have it on all the time. Just when the surface is looking messy. It tends to fill and block and then raise out of the water pretty often when it is running. Needs to be cleared out quite a bit when it is in use.

I have a video on how to remedy some of the rising out of the water issue.

I always have the problem that the sponge immediately becomes clogged and then no longer sucks. I have to clean it 3 times a day

Yes. I much prefer the traditional skimmer. But as I said in the video….it does its job.

Both seem to have similar reviews but £30 difference? 🤔🤔

Calling that a "Pond" is a bit of a stretch. An outdoor aquarium or fountain might be a better name for that tub of algae water.

Do you have any videos of your ponds?

@@thekoiaddiction4740 I am making a pond hence the "Trolling". I am not an expert so that is why I am going around watching videos of do's and dont's to ensure that when I do install both ponds I won't have to go back and redo certain things. My Idea pond is going to be a medium 1500g with inlined features that will enhance a corner of my backyard. In phase 3 I will have a running river rock stream that feeds into our greenhouse that connects both ponds. Building this will be for several reasons the main being operating my own biodome. Also a fire fall for company and parties.
Good luck with your above ground pool chief!
