    Hi Dave, hope you and Debs are keeping well and enjoying this warmer spell.
    That skimmer definitely does the job as your pond water is crystal clear and no debris on the top of the water.
    I like your idea of putting it on a chain and using a stone to weigh it down to just sit right on the water.
    It's lucky you can turn your hands to many things Dave.
    Enjoy the weather why we have it. All the best Pete

      Thank you Pte , yes it just annoyed me reading comments about these saying they were useless , like I said I had one for 5 years going 24/7 and did a great job, the motor got to be a bit slow so I bought a replacement , and looking at some of the comments on reviews I thought it needed a review to show how good they are … hope you all keeping good …cheers Dave

    Hi Dave, I have attempted to put a net in the basket because when I lift the black part out, all the debris falls through the holes.
    The problem is, is that I can’t get the net to stay in, it floats out of the skimmer. Any suggestions?

    • @howarth004
      @howarth004  Год назад

      I usually lift the skiMmer out of the water first to clean it , do it quick and switch off first , then the dirt does not run through , just take the basket out and upturn the skimmer to get rid of the dirt

    • @JustBaileey
      @JustBaileey Год назад +1

      @@howarth004 okay, so just take the whole skimmer out is your advice. Mmm, I thought the idea of the basket was so that it could be easily taken out by itself and be cleaned without the hassle of lifting the whole thing.
      No worries, I’ll let my rents know that’s the best approach.
      Thanks

    • @howarth004
      @howarth004  Год назад +1

      @@JustBaileey you could try a thicker sponge , to stop debris going through , also I tend to clean mine 3 times a week so as not to let it build up too much ..

    • @JustBaileey
      @JustBaileey Год назад

      @@howarth004 do you put Japanese sponge stuff in the actual basket it self? If so, how do you get it to stay. The holes I think are a little too big and could have been better being small in my opinion.
