The great thing about Gav is that I think he still has more to give. He is probably getting to thr age where massive improvements are going to be difficult. But I think he has the capabilty to make a WSM final this year.
great character, always a pleasure to watch him compete. One day Gav will win a major title. Just a matter of patience, dedication and hard work. It will all pay off eventually.
Gav was very lucky to have his heart attack in Glasgow as well the doctors there have a hell of a lot of experience with heart attacks. I was tthat show and I thought Gav was looking a bit off, glad he is doing so great and WSM contenders better watch out this year
Seeing athletes progress and adapt at all levels is one of my favorite parts of this sport. Gav is the prime example of this! Keep up the love of strongman Gav!
I may be a Scot but I loved getting to see the Welsh Bull on that podium, it was a pure joy. Big respect to all the improvements he has made, clearly it is working and I look forward to seeing what he is capable of this year.
I have a feeling Nig Gav is going to podium at Europes and make WSM Finals this year. The man just keeps improving Big Brian saw this this is why he was first replacement at Shaw Classic
I agree. He should have been invited over bishop imo. Bish is really good but he seems to always get hurt at the bigger shows and gav has been doing better every year. 24 is going ro b a really good yr for the bull.
I find it extremely hard to not like Gav. He's a different person now than 2 years ago. He's smiling more. Tells me he's very happy where he is. That's awesome. Great interview.
I met you Gavin in Myrtle Beach last summer. You took a photo with me and were friendly and gracious. You're one of the few strongmen who doesn't lie about his height. You're a LEGIT 6'6" man barefoot and don't claim to be 6'8" like Brian Shaw or Tom Stoltman, both of whom are your height barefoot. You're a stand up guy Gavin. Hoping to meet you again in Myrtle Beach in 3 months!
Brian, Eddie, Thor, etc lie about their height but does Tom really? I don't watch much of his stuff but videos I saw he never really talked about his height. I know he was listed at 6'10 in some competitions, 6'8 in others but that could just be organizations trying to make contests more impressive?
I've loved watching Gav improve and he is genuinely a top 10 athlete. He is such a likeable character and with the right events he can be up there. The UK has some incredible contenders at the moment and I would love to see him podium. Good luck for the future buddy
I really think it'll come good for Gav eventually and he'll bag a big show win, his mentality and his ability to just chip away and improve consistently are amazing. Really showing the value of being a little better every day
One of the most humblest guys in the sport. It's been great meeting Gav on a number of occasions and helping out last summer at Wales strongest. He and Simon are true gents 🙏
I think Gav is my favorite active strongman now that Brian is retired. Wonderful personality, and a very dramatic story to follow. Good to see he can celebrate his competitions achievements.
Would love to see Gav on more podiums, he's become a solid all rounder, if he could nail a couple of big weapon banker events it would make him a very dangerous competitor. What a great guy, always gets my cheers.
Got to meet Gav at Shaw. How can you not love that guy? My only critique is he shouldn't be allowed in a stone off with Luke. It's too heartbreaking no matter who wins!
In 2010, I was training at Rob Framptons gym. Size and becoming heavy was the goal. Getting the bodyweight up, with the intention of refining later. Get fat, Get strong, then get fit. This wasn't Rob's advice, it was just the culture. I hit 130kg at 5'11 and felt I needed to cut. Strong but unhealthy. Did not go down well with gym members. I took alot of shit.....I made the right choice.
I'm glad you guys touched on how different it is in competition vs your own gym etc... I had a discussion on Mitch Hoopers video he did on Tom Haveland as they were saying TH could challenge MH in WSM and lifting at home vs competition isn't so different etc... I was trying to say these things that you mention about traveling, diet change, sleep change, timings in the lifting and 4 or 5 events in one day! It's ok to do one thing in your own gym and say I lifted 200kg but that's on your best day! Try doing that under competition conditions and it's event 5 out of 5 and trust me, it ain't happening! It's also why I think lifts done under competition conditions and in your own home gym should be separate world records because they simply are not the same. always liked Gav, seems such a nice down to earth and humble guy, hope he does really well! 👍👍
awesome interview and congrats, Gav. Amazing performance at BSM. hhhhmmmm there is a D somewhere missing in this shortening 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Stay healthy and all the best for the upcoming events!!!💪
Big gav you’re an awesome strongman, I can remember watching you’re fellow countryman Gary Taylor win the worlds strongest man. I look forward to watching you win the worlds 👍🏻
There have always been big expectations with Gav because...just look at him. Two silvers at BSM in a row confirm he has the steak to accompany the sizzle. He has many good years of prime ahead of him, and he is getting better. If he makes the podium at WSM this year, he ascends another level in his career. He has all the pieces of the puzzle to do that...simply has to assemble them on the day...
I'm glad Wales is getting a proper lookin on the world stage at the moment. I don't think we've really had a star since Gary Taylor. It'd be a hell of a thing to see our first WSM win for a fellow countryman since 93. I'm not saying Gav's a shoe-in for this year or anything, but I was too young to have seen it 31yrs ago, so I'm crossing my fingers and toes I'll get to before long.
Hello from the Welsh American Channel. Just want to let you know that we Welsh Americans are also interested in what is going on in Wales. Cymru am byth!
I went to area 51 a few weeks back to have a bash at fingals finger as it's in an upcoming comp for me and I have never tried it. Gav came out and gave some advice, could not have been nicer
It’s all been said before but Gav has improved so much the last couple of years. I think at the moment it could be argued that he is in the top 10 in the world.
@Big Loz Official, a good title for this video would have been "No bull with the Bull." I believe that Mr. Bilton would be an awesome bloke to sit down and have a few pints with. "I don't have a big head...a massive skull." 😂😂😂
Peyton manning said something pretty great about luck. Not an exact quote but he’s basically said If you’re prepared, you’re chances of being lucky are better. Good for you Gav. Love seeing you climbing those podiums.
Is Giants Live also the best format for the athletes aswell? Because I think you'll still get a mental fatigue and not perform well when you have to stay at the location for longer periods
this man is going to have the same legend as Owain Glyndwr (he has a legend like King Arthur legend goes Owain will rise up to help Wales if they are ever in trouble though he is 600+ years old)
That’s what gets to me too. Retired, decided to watch a sport. Chose Strength sports, found Loz and Liz and then literally loved everyone. Can’t even take a bet😂❤
Shouldn't you travel to the country where the competition is at least a week before to avoid jetlag, to prepare yourself for food (and in the US for example they have bison it's great!) and acclamatised. Do you guys normally fly business class being so big?
Sausage! Gav has been constantly improving, and is now a true fan favorite. We are all rooting for the Welsh Bull!
That's Big Sausage to you!
The great thing about Gav is that I think he still has more to give. He is probably getting to thr age where massive improvements are going to be difficult. But I think he has the capabilty to make a WSM final this year.
Bloody love this bloke. Hope he realises his potential and at least claims BSM in the next couple of years.
So happy to see more Talking Strongman again Loz
great character, always a pleasure to watch him compete. One day Gav will win a major title. Just a matter of patience, dedication and hard work. It will all pay off eventually.
Not only is he one of the best, but also one of the most like-able and fun strongmen to watch and listen to. Great job Gavin. Keep on going!
Always love when Gav talks!!
I love Gavin. He’s so humble but knows what he wants and is going for it. He is improving all the time. Awesome strongman ❤💪🏼
Gav was very lucky to have his heart attack in Glasgow as well the doctors there have a hell of a lot of experience with heart attacks. I was tthat show and I thought Gav was looking a bit off, glad he is doing so great and WSM contenders better watch out this year
Gav has transformed into a friendly beast! I am so happy for him! So awesome, such an inspiration!
Seeing athletes progress and adapt at all levels is one of my favorite parts of this sport. Gav is the prime example of this! Keep up the love of strongman Gav!
I am so glad he woke up and got in better shape. We have all been there thinking a bigger number on the scale would mean being stronger.
Gavin is such an incredibly nice guy just like Brian. How could you not love him?
More genuine than Brian imo
I may be a Scot but I loved getting to see the Welsh Bull on that podium, it was a pure joy. Big respect to all the improvements he has made, clearly it is working and I look forward to seeing what he is capable of this year.
Gotta like Gavin! Great attitude, always smiling, and always improving! Keep up the good work! And good luck from America!!
Great seeing Gavin so content and performing well. So inspiring even Siri couldn't keep still.
Really enjoy watching him compete, talk and train. He's a credit to the sport and brings as much to the table as he takes away
Awesome bloke
Big Gav!
Absolute belter big Gavin Bilton man honestly.
Gav is one of those strongmen i dont pay to much attention to but am always happy to see him in a line-up, he gets better all the time
I have a feeling Nig Gav is going to podium at Europes and make WSM Finals this year. The man just keeps improving Big Brian saw this this is why he was first replacement at Shaw Classic
A bit of a BIG typo there mate
Pretty sure Gav is a white man
I knew that Gav had that DWAG in em
I agree. He should have been invited over bishop imo. Bish is really good but he seems to always get hurt at the bigger shows and gav has been doing better every year. 24 is going ro b a really good yr for the bull.
so, we have wide and narrow pavlo, and we have big and nig gav, curious what they can bring to the table xD
Gav's such a lovely guy. I love to see him progressing and think he has every chance of making the WSM final this year.
I find it extremely hard to not like Gav. He's a different person now than 2 years ago. He's smiling more. Tells me he's very happy where he is. That's awesome. Great interview.

There are pictures of Tom and Gav next to each other and Tom is half a head taller…which would be about correct..
Love seeing big Gav is healthier and working hard still. I can't wait to see how he performs the rest of the year.
I've loved watching Gav improve and he is genuinely a top 10 athlete. He is such a likeable character and with the right events he can be up there. The UK has some incredible contenders at the moment and I would love to see him podium. Good luck for the future buddy
You cant help but cheer for Gav everytime, a real gentleman.
i love you guys❤❤❤
What a great guy. Brilliant interview, cheers.
That dude is awesome.
One of my favorite strongmen to watch. Dude is a monster. Had no idea of his past. Really good to hear it.
Great video. And this is why everyone loves Gav.
He was fantastic at the shaw classic when we went in August. Definitely made fans out of my wife and myself. Keep getting better 💪
I think Gav is my favorite active strongman now that Brian is retired. Wonderful personality, and a very dramatic story to follow.
Good to see he can celebrate his competitions achievements.
Gav is a great guy, i wish nothing but the best for him!
21:02 is why I respect Eddies 500kg more than Thors 501kg deadlift. So many factors to consider when doing it in competition.
Genuinely love hearing big gav speak seems like a very likeable guy and becoming a very good strong man 👍
Would love to see Gav on more podiums, he's become a solid all rounder, if he could nail a couple of big weapon banker events it would make him a very dangerous competitor. What a great guy, always gets my cheers.
Best of luck to the man!
Awesome awesome! Glad to get to hear from Gavin!
Gavins looking great! Let's see how he does in this ultra competitive Arnolds.
Great video, really informative and who doesn't love Gav!

Awesome insight from Gav. What a legend
Couple of class-acts right here👍🏾👍🏾
Top lad and great interview
He absolutely smashed Britain's this year. Was really rooting for him.
awesome interview and congrats, Gav. Amazing performance at BSM. hhhhmmmm there is a D somewhere missing in this shortening 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stay healthy and all the best for the upcoming events!!!💪
Gav looks so much healthier now, and he obviously feels better. To boot, he's better and more competitive than he's ever been! 👍
Love the interview videos! The insight and the stories are so interesting!
Hey Gav -- We love you.
Gav comes across great, seems like a really likeable guy. good luck at the Arnolds!
Excellent!
Big gav you’re an awesome strongman, I can remember watching you’re fellow countryman Gary Taylor win the worlds strongest man. I look forward to watching you win the worlds 👍🏻
Health really matters most. Gotta be terrifying to have a heart attack, even afterwards.
Been looking forward to this interview! Thanks guys. 😁

Met gim at the shaw classic. What a great dude. He has been improving every show and i guarantee he can make the final at worlds

Monster.. You have a New Fan.
Love watching Gav's rise up to the top. Met him at the Shaw Classic, cool guy. Made me feel pretty small, and I'm 6'4 290 lol
Gav is an example if anyone can come back stronger it's possible because since Europe's 2021 he has got better and better
love u 2
It’s all been said before but Gav has improved so much the last couple of years.
I think at the moment it could be argued that he is in the top 10 in the world.
Good interview, Gavs great and I hope he crushes Arnold’s UK!
@Big Loz Official, a good title for this video would have been "No bull with the Bull."
I believe that Mr. Bilton would be an awesome bloke to sit down and have a few pints with.
"I don't have a big head...a massive skull." 😂😂😂
Amazing coming back from a heart attack
And then go full blown for strongman 😅 brave
Gavin super progres🥇💪🏆
I'm ready to see Gav in the finals of WSM 2024 💪🌍
Good chat. My magical crystal ball shows great things for Gav in the future.
Big man gave big tom a game, well done big gav the scots support you aswell big fella.4 natons under 1 flag our united kingdom.
Peyton manning said something pretty great about luck. Not an exact quote but he’s basically said If you’re prepared, you’re chances of being lucky are better. Good for you Gav. Love seeing you climbing those podiums.
Tom Platz - "Luck is where hard work meets opportunity"
Yea, I see it as being good means you are better able to take advantage when chance gives you an opening.
Steadily improving, definitely more to come from the Welsh Bull 🐂😤
The better you are, the more lucky you get 👍
Gav is great for the sport
💪💪💪
❤
Is Giants Live also the best format for the athletes aswell?
Because I think you'll still get a mental fatigue and not perform well when you have to stay at the location for longer periods
Wish these promoters would organize them in a way that competition is optimal and no won down from just having another previous
Big boy
Gav is the most strongman strongman who ever did strongman.
this man is going to have the same legend as Owain Glyndwr (he has a legend like King Arthur legend goes Owain will rise up to help Wales if they are ever in trouble though he is 600+ years old)
Yeah, I keep looking behind him to see if he’s attracted a minstrel.
Luck occurs when preparedness meets opportunity!
Is there any other sport where you want everyone to do well?
That’s what gets to me too. Retired, decided to watch a sport. Chose Strength sports, found Loz and Liz and then literally loved everyone. Can’t even take a bet😂❤
That's the tough part of been a SM fan
imagine a lean tom and gav, going at it, both around 170kg
Shouldn't you travel to the country where the competition is at least a week before to avoid jetlag, to prepare yourself for food (and in the US for example they have bison it's great!) and acclamatised. Do you guys normally fly business class being so big?
🏴
🦬🦬🦬
Does the moustache get bigger the better Gav gets?
Gavins Brittish is THICK..... I could'nt understand what he was saying most of the time.
Heart attack then go into strongman? Thats crazy 😅
