"Be content with what ever phone you have as long as your getting security updates, and have storage space..." Absolutely agree. This is the only reason I'm upgrading/ getting a new phone- my old phone, a OnePlus 7Pro is no longer being supported. I have the 15 Pro and its a solid device, although it heats up way more than my S24 Ultra and on multiple occasions the screen dimmed to the point of being unusable and even saying phone too hot and I couldn't do anything with it. They need to stop increasing peak brightness and focus on sustained brightness. That's inexcusable for a flagship. And when it comes to taking pics or video it’s to the point that I don’t even try with the s24U anymore as it’s just so disappointing, especially for the money paid for the device. Samsung seems unable to fix problems that have plagued their devices for years and this will be my last Android device, specifically Samsung, for awhile now… I got sucked into the s24U hype and now have a phone that I can’t even sell because no one wants it.

I had an 11 before this one which lasted almost 5 years and would have probably lasted even longer if we didn't trade it in for the 15PM. The battery on the 15PM is amazing. I can go 2 days without charging. The USB-C is handy, although if you get any dirt in there, you can have issues with getting a good connection to charge. Otherwise, the 15PM is fantastic and I plan to keep it for years to come.
I still have a 13 ProMax. It really drives me crazy as I stopped getting sucked into the buy every year game and now that I see enough upgrades to step up to the 16 ProMax (or whatever it will be called) I get the same "leaks" for the 17 and all those changes to come! It's really difficult as a consumer, but I guess our family with try the 16 and hope we will have no regrets for not waiting for the 17!

I got the 15pro max mainly on your recommendation about Ai. I love the 5x zoom camera. It felt a bit big but love it now. It seems many of the Ai features aren’t ready for the next iOS. What do you think about that?
Skipping the 16 and keeping my 15 pro max. I love this phone. No issues. Solid battery life solid performance, small bezels . Ya. It’s a great phone. I feel the same way I did with this phone as I did with the iPhone 5s. I loved that phone. Maybe the 16s? Who knows. I always try to skip the non S models
Likely to upgrade from 13pro this year, it depends on the actual feature set for the 16 as to if I choose a 15pro(max) or 16pro(max) - my main interest here is with the usbc, satellite connectivity and cameras. Pricing wise, its making more and more sense to stay a generation behind, especially for us mere mortal non power users.
I also have the 13 pro, besides considering to replace the battery once it reaches 80% health I have no issues at all and see no reason to switch. Why do you wanna change it?
@@svenshruufx7380 For me, it is curiosity around the functionality of satellite messaging - I do endurance cycling in remote areas, so is a safety and convenience consideration. It's the main reason outside of ego that I'm considering it. Otherwise the phone is good for purpose still, battery has 83% capacity and still does me a full day with average usage.
I have also upgraded every year. I currently use both a Z Flip 6 for work and 15 pro max for personal. That being said, this will 100 percent be the first year I skip the iPhone upgrade because I love the 15PM and it will also receive the AI upgrades. Also, I obviously just got the flip 6. Great content as always!
My typical usage is not as demanding as yours. However, I have had no issues with overheating on my 15 pro max this year in our 118 degree Arizona summer weather.
I have an iPhone X. The 4 performance improvements that I care most about are: #1 More internal storage. Much as I like to save money and an external SSD could address that; the inconvenience factors of needing an external SSD are enough to push me toward paying the premium price for internal 1TB or 2 TB. #2 The ability to shoot RAW... which explains the 1 TB or 2 TB thinking process. #3 Instead of using tricks like prisms (iPhone 15 Pro Max) to get "optical" 5x Zoom, I'd rather that the zoom be accomplished by a super high resolution CCD for the Zoom lens. Then when the image is cropped, the resolution would still be good. Simple physics do not support the idea that a few prisms can provide the same focal length as a lens with zoom that is many inches long on a true digital camera. I think Apple is still in reality using a digital zoom and cropping the image on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and maybe using software to enhance the resolution. I'm not counting on them doing it the "right way" on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I want to wait and see. If it doesn't have it, I'll still probably get it for other performance improvements. If I already HAD the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I would definitely NOT upgrade. My gut tells me that even the iPhone 17 will not do zoom the "right way". #4 Support for a 2nd and maybe even 3rd SIM. Not sure if I'll end up using it, but I like having the option if the need arises. That's my 2¢. Thanks for the great videos!!!
I’ve not upgraded in 3 years (that’s my usual cycle) so I’m looking forward to getting the 16 and feeling all the fresh newness! Though part of me is feeling a change to Samsung.
I intend to keep my 15 Pro for a long time considering it's getting expensive in the country i live in. I typically change phones every 4 years but I intend to go longer than 4 years.
I have my 13 Pro Max and kept it because it has a physical Sim I needed for traveling overseas, but now most countries I visit support E-Sim so upgrade time. Hate the dimming screen when it's summer. In the bright sun is when I need a bright screen most. Great if thermal handling is vastly improved. I've even considered a perforated case to help cooling.
I'm currently comparing/ trying to decide between a 15PM and an S24 Ultra. I've used Androids for literally 10 years now, but my personal laptop has been a MacBook Pro (now Air) since 2007. All my family uses iPhones, so I wanted to see what the fuss is about w/ the "ecosystem," etc. The main reason I just got the 15PM is my old phone, a OnePlus 7Pro, is no longer being supported, and I LOVE the blue titanium color, which is supposedly not going to be on the 16s. I'm having a really hard time choosing between the 15PM and the S24 Ultra, as I'm so used to the Android experience, but I do really like the 15PM. First world problems I know.
Currently have the 12 and torn if I should get the 15 pro max now or wait and get the 16. Currently the 15 has a $5 month deal, sure the 16 will be much more. Also I want bigger, but idk if I want the even bigger sized update. Thoughts?
Ive been upgrading my phone every 4 years, the biggest surprise was the iphone X and its capabilities and response time that still kept up with iphone 13 to 14 gen, I am still using my iphone 13 and I see no need to upgrade to a 16, apple just rely on you to upgrade to make money, but must you upgrade every year? NO
I usually trade in my iPhone every year. This year I might keep the 15 Pro Max for another year, cause is been great and I like the feel and size. I don’t want a bigger iPhone.
I love the 15 Pro for pics. But I also have the Fuji X100VI and won’t be getting rid of that soon - great travel camera and the quality of images is much better than what I get on iPhone. There are adapters for both zoom and wide as well as some built in jpeg mode.
I have a iPhone 14 Pro Max which I’ve had for nearly 18 months now although I’m tempted to get the iPhone 15 Pro Max, i’m gonna see what the iPhone 16 Pro Max has to offer. I am pissed off that my phone doesn’t get Apple intelligence when it’s more than capable of handling it.
Up to you, the 14 Pro Max is still good, so if you can wait another year then wait for 17 Pro Max since it would have more upgrades and leaks have it that the dynamic island is gonna be getting smaller.
@@saagameryt214 Ok, thanks! But the decision is between waiting longer for the 17 pro max for a better upgrade, or getting the 16 pro max instead so I can get a better trade in value of my 14 pro.
Iv got the 15 pro max and I absolutely love the phone especially it’s camera quality it’s so cool honestly lol I use it a lot for my TikTok channel because I’m into cars it’s great with the visuals 10/10 …. Would I get the iPhone 16 pro max? … I will but next year lol
I have 13 pro but I want to change for something with bigger battery. Should I get 15 Pro max or wait for 16 Pro/Pro Max? In the future I think I will change every three years.
I have the ragular iphone 15 in black and honestly I can't afford new iphones every year but I do have an upgrade in April of 2025 so yeah I'm going to keep my iPhone 15 till then so I will honestly upgrade to the 17 pro not the 16 and I'm fine with that 💯
I probably won’t skip the iPhone 16, just because I want the pro max since I went with the 15 pro since it was the only one available in the color I wanted nearby
I've got the 15 pro Max and yeah it's been great. Camera is amazing and I've used pro Cameras for two decades. Camera wise everything is good enough only thing it cant do is super telephoto for wildlife/bird but likely be a lot more iphone updates before I totally get rid of my real camera. It is my first iphone always had android before. I cant see me needing to upgrade my phone for a few years. Will be upgrading my real Camera though.
Please do a video regarding the comparison of apple macbook pro m1 pro 14inch (8 core cpu and 14 core GPU) vs hp omnibook x/Microsoft surface laptop 7 (X1E-78-100) and which to buy, Thank you
I am getting 15pro max upgrading from the 13pro max. Reason: carrier letting me get it with trade in for 3$ a month. If it wasn’t for this deal I would’ve kept my phone a little longer
I'm actually not upgrading at least not day one. I just replaced my phone through Apple care so it's like have new phone. Battery health is now 100%. my previous one dropped down to 90%
if i want to buy an iphone 15 pro, when should i buy one? should i wait til the 16 comes out? and how long after it comes out do i need to wait for price drop? is the price drop significant enough for the wait? im using a iphone xr right now
Considering the Max now because, I am Not interested in yet an even Bigger phone. I have a Pro and find myself wanting a bit more. Coming from a Ultra and just being overwhelmed sometimes by the size and the carry functionality, the Max is just a tad smaller overall than the Ultra. Obviously more ergonomic as the squared edges of the Ultra can be a bit much over longer periods of time. May wait just to see what little extra the 16 Pro brings and see if that satisfies my larger size desire.
I will be keeping iPhones 15 Pro Max with 1TB of storage for as long as it takes to have all 3-iSight cameras to be 48MPxls and a reduction of Dynamic Island. By the way, I will remind you guys of this video if you over-praise the next iPhone coming out in the fall.
I upgraded from the iPhone X (which I was surprised to actually still be able to _sell_), so you can tell I Plan to hold on to it die quite some time. I would not be surprised if this (again) was until a major software update would not run on the iPhone 15 pro again which Istill expect to be 6 years (and maybe a battery swap) away. This is longer than most I am sure, but this is how I justify the high price of the phone to myself.
actually i live in the SW where when i am outside for the short period, my phone overheats quick and the wait for iphone 16 is worth it. thanks for doing a video on this! love the content ❤
I’m not gonna lie, when I heard the dimensions were getting bigger for the 16 Pro and 120Hz wasn’t coming to the standard 16, I went for the 15 Pro. This was 2 months ago..?
I have the 18 public beta on my M4 iPad and on my 15 Pro Max, and I do not find the photos better. I think it’s way too complicated. I wish I could just go and make it back to where it was before.
The new chip will be based on the M4 which was built around Apple Intelligence so that alone makes it an alluring upgrade… add to that the possibility of a better battery and I’m sold!
Cannot wait to get the 16 Pro Max! My 15 Pro has terrible battery life. I average 5-6 hours of screen on time and have to charge it at least twice a day. And that’s with Always On Display and Background Refresh turned off.
I’ll keep my 15 pro max for 3-4 years. The only thing that could be better is the cooling but battery is still great. There is no reason to upgrade in my opinion. And Apple Intelligence will be released for it as well. I feel bad for the people who bought a 14 pro/pro max shortly before the release of the 15 pro max because the 15 series had the best design change for years ( titanium, weight, usb c and so on).
The ONLY reason I’m even considering an upgrade is the USB-C. Otherwise my 11 Max has been fine. Hell my XR my son uses is still fine. The lighting connector is just trash. CarPlay is a nightmare at times especially when using Maps and it disconnects after a slight movement.
What kind of car do u have??? You might need to have the infotainment system software updated. If you kept up with the software updates on the iPhone, you should be on iOS 16.
i am coming from long time Android... i am looking at getting my first iphone. Up until ios 17, i hated the interface... now it is not too bad. I just wondering if i shoul djust get the iphone 16 for my first iphone. I am coming from Pixel 6 Pro.
EU forced apple to make the change.... Apple was making a fortune using proprietary lightning connector. Good for us, 1 less cable to carry or have to buy new.
@@gailenrique2804regulation kills innovation. You say you can now carry one less cable as if all other Apple devices are now on usb-c. I have other stuff that still requires lightning cable. EU meddling with ports introduced 1 more zcable to carry around for me. They were building towards totally wire-free iPhones. This change has probably pushed the release of a wire-free phone forward a few years.
You can get a deal for the 15 pm if you trade in that 11pm now. AT&T is giving $700 trade in credit if your 11pm is 256GB and in good condition. Check it out.
I will be keeping my 15 Pro Max till at least the 17 Pro Max or the 18 Pro Max comes out. I have no problems with my phone at this time, so why change. I problem just jinxed myself by says this.
I can’t, I need the 5X for the 16 pro, I’m a photographer so even with my professional camera with me. I loved to have new lenses and the same 48 mpx in wide angle, normal and zoom , for me is enough for me
I feel like battery life not that great on 15 pro max compared to 14 pro max or 13 pro max. I expected more battery life on 16 pro max with new tsmc second 3nm gen.

I am keeping my 15 pro max, might switch next year for 17 pro max
Same.
NO
Hey I’m bout to get my first phone and I don’t know if I should get the iPhone 15 Pro Max or wait until the 16 pro max what do you think?
Should I trade in from regular 14 Pro with 88% bh from February 2023 to 16 Pro Max or wait for the 17 Pro Max?
Up to you, the 14 Pro Max is still good, so if you can wait another year then wait for 17 Pro Max since it would have more upgrades and leaks have it that the dynamic island is gonna be getting smaller.
Wait it out if you can. 14 pro is still pretty new so you don’t need more and the more you wait, the better the upgrades you get
@@theclug1 Yeah but I have the regular 14 Pro, not the max one. Therefore battery sucks.
@@saagameryt214 Ok, thanks! But the decision is between waiting longer for the 17 pro max for a better upgrade, or getting the 16 pro max instead so I can get a better trade in value of my 14 pro.
Just take it to Apple and pay for a battery swap. I believe they charge 89usd for a new battery.
Happy with my 15PM and doubt I would upgrade unless something earth-shattering comes along in the new 16PM.
Easy skip for me cause I have the 15 pro max. Might upgrade for the 17 PM or slim if they bring 48mp to the telephoto camera.
Keeping it...not enough to upgrade.
I have 13 pro but I want to change for something with bigger battery. Should I get 15 Pro max or wait for 16 Pro/Pro Max? In the future I think I will change every three years.
Get 15 for cheap and wait until 17 I heard it’s gonna be a better upgrade
I have the ragular iphone 15 in black and honestly I can't afford new iphones every year but I do have an upgrade in April of 2025 so yeah I'm going to keep my iPhone 15 till then so I will honestly upgrade to the 17 pro not the 16 and I'm fine with that 💯
I probably won’t skip the iPhone 16, just because I want the pro max since I went with the 15 pro since it was the only one available in the color I wanted nearby
I’ve been using my iPhone X since it came out. Gonna finally upgrade it when the 16 comes out.
The iPhone 14 Pro had issues with battery health dropping to 70-80% after a year. Did the iPhone 15 Pro have that issue?
No!
@@ahaimes6320 want to to take a photo and post it here?
@@ahaimes6320 there you are
I've got the 15 pro Max and yeah it's been great.
Had 15 pro max for 3 days and sold it. Camera performance didn't seem so great to me. Sticking to my iphone 11 and waiting to see the 16th model. :)
Please do a video regarding the comparison of apple macbook pro m1 pro 14inch (8 core cpu and 14 core GPU) vs hp omnibook x/Microsoft surface laptop 7 (X1E-78-100) and which to buy, Thank you
Upgrading from a Galaxy S8 to a 16 Pro this year
For what keep getting a new phone every year?
I have iPhone SE. Happy with it. Got iPhone 13 mini, not happy with it and sold it after one month
I got the 15 Pro, I’m happy with it and the form factor.
The Pro Max is just a bit large for me
Happy with my 15 Pro Max 500 GBs. I’m not upgrading for at least 4-5 years.
I am getting 15pro max upgrading from the 13pro max.
Reason: carrier letting me get it with trade in for 3$ a month.
If it wasn’t for this deal I would’ve kept my phone a little longer
How much trade in credit did you get for the 13PM?
@@gailenrique2804 1k
I'm actually not upgrading at least not day one. I just replaced my phone through Apple care so it's like have new phone. Battery health is now 100%. my previous one dropped down to 90%
What is your old phone and why did you replace it?
if i want to buy an iphone 15 pro, when should i buy one? should i wait til the 16 comes out? and how long after it comes out do i need to wait for price drop? is the price drop significant enough for the wait? im using a iphone xr right now
It’s usually only a $100 drop
1:13 Mental note: Never ever try to contact Max Tech via E-Mail or phone call… 😂
I’m not gonna lie, when I heard the dimensions were getting bigger for the 16 Pro and 120Hz wasn’t coming to the standard 16, I went for the 15 Pro. This was 2 months ago..?
Should I upgrade my iphone 7 to 15 pro max or wait for the 16?
get the 15 pro max when the 16 releases cus it's gonna be cheaper
iPhone 15 pro max , 312 cycles battery charges , used since October 2023 , now the battery health is 88% 😢😢😢
interesting, I got the 15 Pro Max at the end of October and have 185 Cycle counts and 98% Battery Capacity.
How much do you use your phone?! I’ve had mine since early december with about half the charge cycles and battery health 100%
That’s insane. I have my 11 pro max since launch and it’s at 87% bh. Idk my cycle count but I’m a heavy user
That is better than the older phones. I am at 369 cycles with 90%. For the people that ask, I am on the phone all day for work.
Avoid the battery to drain under 20%. This will increase longevity by a lot. This is truth for any lithium ion battery device.
I second that
Just get a portable battery pack Instead of buying another 1000$ phone
@@iTzNice01 I’ve done that with my previous phones and it’s a hassle to worry about another device to carry around
Should I got from 13 pro max to 16 pro max or keep the old phone?
My battery is down to 80% health.
Wait and see, but I would, as the AI is very useful, and only about 10% has been released in the beta.
I'll keeping the 15 pro max for 5 years. Got it in October after trading in the 13 pro for $800 and I'm still at 100% battery.
I upgraded form 12pro to 15pro and will probably keep it next 2 or 3 years...
I need this how much
Yoo what shirt is that Max? Looks great.
Umm the heating issue fix is enough if a reason to swap out the crappy 15
I’ll keep my 15 pro max for 3-4 years. The only thing that could be better is the cooling but battery is still great. There is no reason to upgrade in my opinion. And Apple Intelligence will be released for it as well. I feel bad for the people who bought a 14 pro/pro max shortly before the release of the 15 pro max because the 15 series had the best design change for years ( titanium, weight, usb c and so on).
They made it usb c because they had to. If it was up to them it would still be lightning.
apple did not add usbc... it was eu...
I ask me, what do apple with the memory of the normal pro. 128 or 256? Will the 16 pro starts than much more expensive? Hmmm
Wow that gimbal thing is actually really cool
If you're coming from a Pro phone, go for a Pro. You won't regret. I'm a 15PM user myself.
Most likely upgrading from a 14PM. Need to have better WiFi and cellular performance.. my 14 has had issues for a long time
I would buy a 15 pro max because it's awesome and the 16 may have glitches when it first comes out so ill wait
You really don’t know why it took them so long to switch to usb-c? Some say it’s because they were planning to go full wireless.
You know you’re getting one but I’m not it’s all about software this year
What is amazing about USB-C ????????
I’m on a iPhone 11 Pro Max . I need to upgrade. Do I go for the 15 pro max or 16 ?
It'd be a really bad move to pick up a 15 now.
I loved to have new lenses and the same 48 mpx in wide angle, normal and zoom , for me is enough for me
Currently I have an ip14p I’m going to get the 16 pro maxed once it gets here and I can’t wait
I feel like battery life not that great on 15 pro max compared to 14 pro max or 13 pro max. I expected more battery life on 16 pro max with new tsmc second 3nm gen.
I have a 15 pro max how did u get iOS 18
3:33 Thank you so much for sharing! Hope the brand new Hohem iSteady V3 AI tracking gimbal will help you have more fun in mobile filming!
It’s 2024 and I am still using my iphone XR.
going for 16 pro from my 13mini (which is amazing)
I am keeping my 15 Pro Max. No need to upgrade for me.
Only for budget reasons:) keep watching.
I hear they are putting a cooling graphene system in the iphone 16 pro max
Selling X100VI at a higher price? 🤔
Going from 14 pro max to the 16 pro max. This will be a 4 year phone for me. Finally usb c.
Let's be honest. You're not skipping it. You need it for another year of content.
He needs that Adsense check to pay his bills the first week of the month.
Finally upgrading from an XR to a 15 Pro max!
