Up Top Overland currently specifies that, even though the parts bag may include split lock washers, they are NOT to be used. They have done testing and learned that these lock washers actually make it more likely for the screws to loosen. If you call to request lock washers, they will tell you this.
Looking forward for the videos! It has been a month, I am thinking about running LP4 on my alpha, if you cover some tips on the video, I would really appreciate it!
I’m running behind but I have about 10 videos in the que, one on the LP4s, I’ll start hammering out more videos soon, just trying to keep the timeline correct. There are a lot of tips in the video that I messed up on but still worked, but I fixed everything to be optimal, I’ll show u soon.
Good, I was worried I’m about to do my and I am in utah and the truck sits outside and we get good amount of snow and was worried the snow will melt and leak into the cab. Glad to hear no issues how many years now with it on?
@@Audel-bedolla7 plenty of silicone and bolt down well. I’ve seen rubber washers as well but I don’t know how well they hold up to vibration and heat. I would think in Colorado it snows a lot as well.
Is that where your based out of Colorado? I think I should be fine lot of people here in utah run racks I’ll have to ask a few people that run the same one and see what they used and if they had any sort of issues with leaks

@@AdventureSquadOverland Awesome, thanks! I plan to hook my LP4's to an ARB Linx interface, but i'll be looking forward to see what you do
Great video, thx for it. Question, does the back cross bar is it flush with the front ones that are laying down flat?
Cross. Great question.
@@AdventureSquadOverlandI was curious about this as well, was your answer yes, the top of the back bar is level with the others?
Have you had any leaks inside the cab?
Not so far 💪🏼
