Bought my Uptop Bravo rack last year on black Friday. Was sold on the integrated rocklight/scenePod, at the time I saw no other shop doing this and now I see companies like prinsu and Victory 4x4 starting to incorporate this into their racks, still think Uptop is the cleanest look.
@@Joey_Maldo_15 No rattling. I only hear noise at about 80 plus miles the hour on highway but I think it’s normal to hear noise when you have something on top of your roof going that mph. I have a buddy who bought a roof rack from a local shop who’s brand I’ve never heard and his rack rattled and made a horrible noise at 65 mph. He ended up returning the rack.
@@LuisSanchez-dw7mt yea, the two face plates in the Ex I have shake and hit the truss load bars. I’ve been able to adjust it now so it only happens if it’s super bumpy
Also yes! Ive got a dude selling his alpha, literally has been on the car for a month maybe, never had anything mounted to it. If you want both plates black lmk. He’s only sellin it for $1000 so.
Question would the alpha uptop roof and bed rack sit level like the video ( the side panel of the roof and bed rack) if you have the retrack system installed? Or would the uptop bed rack ( side panels of the the rack) sits higher? Thanks
pretty clean look I've always ran CBI gear on our second Gen , but we just bought a newer 3rd Gen and are starting a whole new build. My question is do you fellas handle any install work? The racks seem straight forward but not sure I'm confident on the electrical My plan was to pick up all the lights, a SwitchPro, compressor, winch, rock lights, second battery .... and then find a shop with enough tech savvy to get it all in and working. I'm in Idaho so it'd be worth driving down
Love the vids and roof rack! Was debating to get this or prinsu. Wish they ship to Hawaii for free. Sick truck. Can they powder coat those silver bolts into black like the rest of the rack? Thanks
If I was going to do it all over again, I would have gone with the uptop. The only reason I didn't was the lack of roof rack height bed rack. I didn't want to pay an extra $800 for the topper to put ontop of the bed rack just to make up the difference. But after seeing the quality of another manufacturer, maybe I should have.....
Most people who I see with all that gear never even uses it, basically TOOLS. I live in cali and when you see that guy in Tuesday traffic with a truck perfectly clean truck and the under carange that never seen dirt with all that shit you know it's all for look. Come on we live in cali. I guess it's a trend. Just keep it simple people....
Right? This stuff is for people on sponsored expeditions being gone weeks at a time. Just grab a Prinsu, it's low profile and will fit the needs of 99% of the people on here. Skip the rack and get some billie bars which let you use your truck as a truck when you need to.
Agreed. The shop taco has been used a ton though. Mainly we like trying new stuff out. We like trying products & knowing it’s a good product before we start promoting it or selling it. Hence all the gear. And yes 9/10 you’re not gonna need a shovel just for a trail, but the one time you do, you’re glad you have it.
Agree, by far the sickest rack I've seen. Will get this setup for my build!
Damn....Twon's bed rack setup is hella bad ass. That's how I want my bed rack setup to be like.
Game changer. Everyone always buys prinsu but these look way more nice💯

Would you be able to mount the spare under the bed rack?
Are all 7 of your LP4s the combo ones?
By far the uptop rock looks more aggressive than the prinsu. I just installed my bravo last week and my taco looks amazing 🤙🏻
Have you had any issues with it rattling or making noise ? I have the bravo on my taco also and have some noise issues.

Love your guys video quality and setup, this is a great looking rack
Just got the Prinsu delivered yesterday. Wished I would have seen this first.
Video is getting so good! What camera / lens combo are you guys using?
I have cracks on the bends of my uptop faring. Sent me another, same thing. I think they might cold bend the faring idk. I love my rack otherwise.
Does uptop overland make anything similar for the 5th Gen 4runner? I want to be cooler than Akraup and think this might do it
😂😂 ily. 😘

Yessir, we offer installs in Denver, Colorado. We can all your electrical needs installed.
@@Runnin4Tacos Do you have a link for the bungees?
Is the Alpha rack level with the Alpha EX rack?
How bad does that set up whistle while driving? I imagine the wind noise is multiplied with those Baja Design Pods
It's not any worse than any other rack
Would I be able to run a tonneau cover with this system?
Would this work with a trd pro snorkel?
How can you mount a 5lb propane tank on a mid size rack ?
I can see u mounted one on tall rack
How are you liking the upTAKE Snorkel?
Love it still!

You'd have to send the bolts to powder yourself, or paint em. They give only stainless hardware that’s never powdercoated.

How do you get roam cases on the rack?
We drilled holes but we have mounts for them without drilling on our website
Where do you get the RTL mount at?
upTOP Overland or at Runnin4Tacos.com
Gorgeous system
Been eying the alpha forever. Maybe next year...
GREAT SET UP 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
Thanks! 🙏
Who else would love to see a comparison of R4T 3rd Gen to LLOD 3rd gen? Both great trucks with completely different setups
Whoo, first! Cool
Sup Fish buddy !
@@SpencerHogg Hey, Spencer!! Nice to see you here
I still think the best looking rack are the. Westcott Designs. These are to bulky and seems to not fit the truck aesthetics.
Still prefer the Prinsu.
Bad ass
