- What is 50to01? Is it a riding crew, a clothing brand, a reason to make videos? In this day in the life video, we hang out and go for a ride with Josh Lewis & Sam Dale. They both race enduro and downhill events, but choose to focus predominantly on having fun when riding and have proven that it's possible to be a Pro mountain biker without having to compete in professional racing or freeride / slopestyle contests.

People don't realize most contemporary small business owners essentially have the same job as an entry level shipping department employee, but with no benefits, more taxes, and all the risk; you are what you do, no matter what label you give it.
But if you get it going you can make some stupid good money and very important is you are your own boss!
@@rolux4853 Your customers are your boss, they can be just as bad, they can also be other small businesses trying to get yours. It's not all it's cracked up to be unless you actually do or make something valuable people are asking you for before it's for sale, have a grant, or investors. Small drop shipping businesses are unlikely to grow to any worthwhile amount, anyone who want to can do it, if anyone can do it it just turns into who can do it cheapest.

50to01 is a crew that grew into a brand over the years and people really like the „vibe“.
This „Vibe“ is the reason people buy their merch!
If you just want a random shirt, you would never consider buying from the guys because your not their target audience.
With something like 50 to 01 it’s all about identity.
Brand identity and brand recognition are the two huge factors that sell their stuff.
Imagine it like this, they don’t just sell boring shirts, they sell the feeling that you get when watching their videos.
It’s a very clever thing to do and you really underestimate the money you can make when you give people the right feeling/the right vibe.
Do you still prefer to be a basic employee, on the bottom of the corpo pyramid instead of having your own little business, creating products you care for and working for no one but your self.
Nobody is standing in the way of your ideas, you decide when to start, when to finish and when to have a nice lunch break.
The feeling of being independent and relying on yourself is absolutely priceless, no matter how lucrative your business is.
@@rolux4853 It doesn't matter the "feeling" you give someone, if you spend all day shipping your a shipper, but with a bunch of other baggage attached if you own the drop shipping business. Been there, worked for a variety of businesses, and brands, these brands come and go, had friends with them and working for them most of the time when the owner has money it's from something else that doesn't involve work. You sound like your repeating a web sales person or first year college instructor, attempting to teach someone who might know more than you, come back in a few years and see where it's at. I never said anything about my employment preferences btw. Those are basic design drop ship products from China plain and simple, if you want to think your changing people lives and taking breaks as you please as an excuse think your doing something other than shipping some shirts you bought in china with a logo people get a "vibe" for awhile, cheers to you.
Watching these guys do some trail riding is insane. You usually only see them jumping off some crazy stuff and being steezy about it

These guys seems to have something similar to my local brand Appertiff going.
They're a skate/snow(mainly board) group that created a very positive community for the sports in my neighboring town, creating clothing, hosting friendly competitions and eventually becoming part owner of their local ski slope in order to have a great park!
Their clothing, stickers etc. have popped up in both X-Games and the Olympics!

met a guy in my town few months back when he was on holiday in my town he said he's mate's with the 50to1 crew and he was saying its a good laugh with the 50to1 crew cant recall his name but he was sound gave him directions to some sick riding spots

What does 50 to 1 mean?
If I remember correctly it's something to do with the fuel mix in motorbikes
The bikes they ride are Santa Cruz 5010 so maybe that has to do with the name
The ratio you mix 2 stroke fuel with. 50 parts petrol to 1 part oil
