For people concerned about making games about politics and personal agendas, a great many commentors focus a lot about topics that have nothing to with gameplay, stories and graphics. So many people here focus on top surgeries. Literally one optional character customization feature. Others seem mighty interested in whether the developer Matty talks about is a woman or man. There are some very valid points of concern voiced by people of the comments. But it's still really funny how hypocritically focused a lot of people are on anything that's even remotely "woke" instead of looking at the game or points presented as a whole.
I so heavily sgree with this. When we're pointing fingers at one of the most inclusive devs over pedantic nonsense, there are actual underlying problems that deserve to be discussed... but they're drowned out in the monotony of "muh pronouns!" Idc about pronouns. Let's talk about *the game*
@@totalkhonest8997 That’s probably because they are not unrelated. The correlation between bad games and woke games is high, and I don’t believe that’s a coincidence. Top surgery scars and pronouns are just a symptom, but they’re a symptom of a grave condition.
Dark Spawn looking like kids cartoon characters, dwarves having an unlockable mage class, and really silly combat mechanics... gonna pass on this game. DAO will always be the best one in the series to me
It had the perfect blend of strategy, story and worldbuilding. They NEVER came even close to reproduce the pure sense of danger from that game, darkspawn really inspired the sense of dread. "First day they come, and catch everyone..." God damn it, Broodmother.
The only concern I have is to do with the world state choices. So far, BioWare has really dodged around this issue. We know we get some world state stuff regarding inquisition but we don’t know how many choices are available. As far as the other games, I don’t think BioWare has indicated at all how those choices weigh into the game, if they do at all. My favorite parts from inquisition were the moments where I saw how my choices factored in. For example, Loghain was heavily involved in Grey Warden arc and my warden’s old god son had some major story moments with Flemeth. We know Morrigan is in the game so I feel like it’s a must that my son has to be acknowledged in some way, as well as Morrigan and my warden’s relationship. In my mind, this is central to a good BioWare game so that’s going to weigh heavily on my final opinion. I didn’t wait ten years for my 10+ years of investment in this franchise for my investment to be ignored.
I loved Dragon Age Inquisition, and seeing Solas in Dreadwolf form, and all this.... i dont care if there's only 3 choices we can transfer. It's gonna be alright. They did it for a reason. They wanted to be able to focus on those three choices vs trying to encorporate tons. The skin texture is iffy but i don't mind it. Dragon Age has come a long way. And i wanna make a qunari for my first playthrough. I wanna help that forehead lol. I know we all want it to be good, and like me who's waited a decade for this as well, i want it more than anything.
Is it just me, or does this mage gameplay (21:49) really suck because of this mana gain crap via basic attacks? This mage couldn't cast anything for 20 seconds and was saved by moving to another footage, otherwise he would suck for at least another 10 seconds.

I was 80% certain this game would flop, but after learning more about it, I am 99.9% certain.
I just don’t see it earning back its budget after being in development for so long. Even 5 million copies probably isn’t enough.
The Qunari look ridiculous

Funny thing is, there is no such thing as the modern audience! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 dragon age:The modern woke
Woke. The most overused word in the last 2 years. Art design is not to my preference, I would’ve gone for more terrifying/gritty but as long as the combat/gameplay is good this game will be fine.
@@tomkoch3495 woke, do you deem it necessary for video games, that are developed for the "modern audience" for them to fetishize and include something that has the option for your character to use pronouns in bio, and have mutilation surgery scars when they use certain magics to prevent such as wounds in these games? Have you no knowledge or played any previous dragon age games? Or do you just simply support the woke ideologies to patronize the player when games, should be about escapism? You do realize this game will tank. Not as bad as Concord did, but just the same. But you know why concord failed do you not? There won't be any future installments for this game. So who is this game made for? Supposedly it's for the modern audience which is a term that keeps being thrown around by these game developers.
@@JohnDman2020 firstly, every single bioware game has used pronouns. Because they're a fundamental aspect of language. This one just allows you to use them in a way that is separate from the physical body you pick.
Secondly, fetishizing is too strong a word to describe a handful of cosmetic options that you do not need to use.
Arguably it would be more reasonable to accuse them of fetishizing hair, given there are significantly more options available there.
@@TheTombo1990 but giving the option to include top down and top up surgery scars? Yeah that's a fetish for the 1% of the folks at bio ware. And secondly. I don't use pronouns in bio. I don't need to remind myself of my gender. And you never explained to me why Concord flopped?

The thing that Dragon Age does better than any other game franchise is that it has always told a fantastic story, and in most cases, had some interesting, and pretty cool character companions. I didn’t especially care for DA2 with its not so great (at all) storyline and its oft-reused quest locations and backdrops. It definitely seemed like a rushed product, yet it came years after the DA: A expansion. Not sure why that was, or why Matty said it came out only a year afterwards. Nevertheless, I feel that, if you are a genuine Dragon Age fan, you have to give this a try. There were many things I didn’t like when the announcement trailer came out for this, especially the LoL-type mobile game graphics that were front and centre… But, after seeing some of the gameplay further, and what Matty had to say about it, I think this title may surprise a lot of naysayers, myself included 🤙🏼 I’m definitely IN on this!

So I’m definitely going to pre-order Dragon Age, me thinks. I was looking forward to getting into Assassin’s Creed this coming November but I recently read that it was pushed back to February 14th 2025 after the massive flop that Star Wars Outlaws has been.
