that barad dur piece looks good on its own and even though the eye is not book accurate you can never not see that awesome flaming eye after you've seen the movies

The mask hides half of the tower! I think I'd leave them separate. Although it did look cool to see the red eye of the tower through the mask's eye hole.
United Cutlery makes a full helmet, which is much more accurate. I would recommend it over this IMO especially if your paying for it and not given one for free for a review 🤑. There is no rust on any of the Sauron film props and shouldn't be on this. If you're looking for a replica do your research.
Totally agree. Try to get United Cutlerys version if you can. I own both and the UC-helm, although not perfect, is an actual helm and much more accurate in regards to detail and paint-application. But I do have to say, that the mask by Pure Arts does have its merits. It is inaccurate in a lot of details and paint-application in my opinion. But in overall look and shape it captures the originals we actally see on film better than the UC-helm does. This specifically applies to the small deep-set socketed eyeholes, the accentuated cheek-plates, the generally sharper edges and the perforations around the nostrils. Latter are extremely accurate to the hero-prop. Also one has to keep in mind that there are quite some differences even between the originals. - I believe the UC-helm is based on a copy of a copy of the hero-prop, which doesn't exactly look like what we see on film. The PA-mask seems to be, although strongly altered, directly based on the hero-prop in my opinion.
Matt: what is the mask made of? Given how big it is, for some reason, I was thinking it must be really heavy, but given how easily you are holding it, I'm thinking it's made of something fairly lightweight?
Please darken the room when there is light effects. It's so immersive for us to see that fiery eye and lava of Mordor. Also it might be able to mount a leather strap on the back of the helmet to be able to wear

You know when you look at the shape and structure of both minas tirith and bared dur. They look the almost the same but opposites theme styles. Minas tirith light and beautiful that gives life and the city of gondor Brad dur the dark themed that holds evil, darkness and almost mocks the beauty of gondor

Sauron's helm from the trilogy is probably my favorite of any helm on film. This art piece is worthy I say!

United did a limited run last year of the new version of the 1:1s which are gorgeous... Still trying to get my hands on one.
Yea they discounted a while ago as the spikes were occasionally damaged. I managed to get the helm mace and gauntlet from uc, stunning pieces
