At 45, I absolutely love the narrative of #PeriodPositivity because it should not be taboo but standard for all because it's life, LITERALLY! Thank you for the video and continuing education for women/men of all ages! ❤
the timing of your topics are always on point! i just decided to get off of birth control after years. i was on it to skip my periods because mine are literally debilitatinggg. but having manufactured hormones in my body ive decided is much worse overall. ive already dropped excess weight my body was retaining and my mind feels clearer. love having my natural self back.
Omg I’m so happy for you!! It’s a journey forsure but WELLLLLL worth it. Bringing ourselves back to our natural rhythms is something that I think we should really all consider doing as that was how we were made 🫶🏼
your videos and podcasts have really encouraged me to get to know and celebrate every part of myself. i actually get EXCITED to have my period now, lol! ❤❤
Thank you for this Elicia. Concise but so helpful. My cycle length changed after a few smooth months this time and I felt super frustrated and upset and guilty so listening to this made me feel better. Goes to show we need to be more and more aware and knowledgeable about our bodies and the cycle. Wishing everyone a smooth cycle!!
GIRLLL tell me why I was looking for a video i watched from you previously about CYCLE SYNCING. I couldn't find it! And this video popped up! YES and you linked it in the video LOL! thank you!!!!
my queeeeeeen!! Shes back with another video. Can’t wait to watch this😊 I love your videos so so much Elicia! Thank you for all your amazing help and content 💗You post literally each time I start thinking about something. I was considering living my life/organizing my gym stuff in sync with my cycle and then you post this! The timing couldn’t have been any better 😊
I really can’t make videos for people with diagnosed reproductive issues telling them how / to get off of birth I’m sorry girl! I would highly suggest finding a trained professional to help you with this. When I got off of BC it was about 10 years ago- and I had no real underlying symptoms that required me to potentially stay on it so I simply just stopped taking it. But if you’re on any medication I would highly suggest speaking with your doctor about getting off of it instead of just doing it on your own as there can be implications. Also, I would suggest having a plan of action for how you would be supporting your endometriosis if you decide to get off birth control- since you would be facing it once off BC! I would suggest if you can finding a naturopath that works with women’s hormonal issues if you’re looking for a natural route! 🤍
I’m kinda confused.. I have the hormonal bar in my arm for birth control and I get my period every other week for about 4 days.. i am very interested in cycle syncing, and in the heath of my body. However I need to stay on birth control cause I don’t want to get pregnant. ?
Hormonal birth control are not all made equally. I would suggest looking into your specific “bar” that you have in your body and how exactly that affects you. Unfortunately, I’m not able to tell you that. I would also suggest getting the book that I mentioned “in the flo” to understand cycle syncing and BC role it in all!
Thanks for this. However, data breaches with the apps is real, and we have no idea what the government will allow, especially when there is a global audience. Women in the US need to be very careful. My recommendation, track your period on your calendar, on your phone. Or even a note app. Just "p start/end [date]" Let's protect our body's privacy 😊
