Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud has firmly established himself as a leading figure in India's judicial history, distinguished by his exceptional kindness, vast knowledge, and profound wisdom.
Indian democracy relies on a checks & balance, but from time to time, politicians in power, crave more control, & often attempt to erode the institutional independence which threatens the foundation of India's Constitution. India's Constitution, shaped under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, separates religion & Govt. Our Constitution is Not a religious one. This Constitution is a gift from our forefathers who fought the colonial Raj. Our Constitution gives the freedom for peaceful protest & the freedom of the press (instead of lapd0godigmedia) against unjust govt policies. Farmers & female wrestlers in Punjab & Haryana are not anti-national, for peaceful protest allowed by India's Constitution. We are following in pakistan's steps, by trying to be a religious nation full of religious radicals shouting religion is in danger. A rigid union government allows organized corruption & unaccountability to grow from within the system. The biggest scam in the history of India is the electoral bonds scheme, that has made one political party the wealthiest in the world. The Supreme court said those who introduced it had legalised corruption. It's hypocrisy to use PLMA, to target opponents without evidence. We don't want Rowlatt Act (1919) type laws that authorised the colonial administration to indefinitely jail anyone just based on suspicion. The "one nation, one election", will be a note-ban type blunder; making elected politicians more unaccountable. Since 2014, ED cases are 95% against opposition politicians. These are the warnings, if a nation is turning into a regime state: 1. Tell that the citizens powers are being taken by this 'other' smaller group of people in the country. 2. Disdain for the importance of human rights. 3. Inciting “spontaneous” mob to act against their identified enemies. 4. A disproportionate share of national resources is allocated to the military, even when domestic needs are acute. 5. Rampant sexism & treat women as second-class citizens. They are anti-abortion & intolerant of homosexuality, which are codified into laws that enjoy strong support by the religious, lending cover for the laws. 6. The liberal media are under strict control, by labelling them as unpatriotic or by implied threats to the owners of the private media 7. Obsession with national security & their actions are justified under the rubric of “security”. 8. A perception is manufactured to kept up the illusion that the party members are defenders of the faith & opponents of being “godless” 9. Power of corporations is protected to ensure a continued mutuality of interests 10. The poor, that forms the underclass, is considered akin to a vice 11. Suppression of artists & academicians who are called high-society club "elites". In dictatorships, art & literature should only be created to serve the national interest, or they have no right to exist. 12. Fear of criminals & national traitors, are promoted as an excuse to give more unchecked power to the police, leading to rampant abuse. Obsession with draconian systems of punishment with huge prison populations. 13. Those in business circles & close to the power elite often use their position to enrich themselves. 14. They are also obsessed about deep-secret global plan, that everyone is against them. P.s What had happened in Bangladesh, was their govt passed draconian laws to increase their control to control all media, hide unemployment nos & centralised corruption under their union govt. The End result was disaster.

I just have a doubt why are we blaming the Supreme Court for Umar Khalid ? The Supreme Court never passed any order for Umar Khalid It was only the Delhi HC that denied him bail Umar Khalid just withdrew the petition in the SC
If it is a Gender-related issue, or curbing the FREEDOM of WOMEN, this has not really existed in SABARIMALA. Only women in their menstruating age groups are barred from entering Sabarimala temple. Women outside the ambit of menstruation are allowed entry. So, the real problem is MENSTRUATION and not GENDER DISCRIMINATION or opposing women's rights.

DY Chandrachud may have done many good and bad things. But his biggest failure in holding the state responsibility about unnecessary arrests and not being able to do anything in not granting bail by many of his colleagues. He is a brilliant judge. However I think he could have done much better and be less controversial. Anyway let us see what job he is going to take up after retirement.
The Electoral Bonds judgement was not all bravado as it has been made out to be. All that the Supreme Court did was to hold bonds unconstitutional and rap the political parties on their knuckles saying don't do it again or else. For this judgement to have upheld the law, let alone being a landmark, the CJI should have attached and frozen assets of all such political parties who obtained funds through this unconstitutional means. This was after all illegal money that parties had obtained and were now using it freely. Instead, they were let off with a shallow scolding. Unfortunate.
Good reporting, but the 50 word edit is not going to give any kind of useful insights to the readers as it fails to present all the arguments and narratives in a concrete manner.

Wonder why the media and country was silent during that time. And somehow media still accolades him as a successful judge!!
Rich legacy? Seriously? This one is a conspicuously spineless one in the upper echelons in recent times!!
Wish he writes a book on his life experiences... wants to understand, how people who destroyed the century old structure are rewarded... while calling the dismantling of the structure a criminal act in the same judgement!!!
Umar Khalid hearing hasn't even begun
Shekar gupta is layered sanghi with rationality
For the thackrey govt order, i believe the cji had in his questions n clarifications told the counsel that they could have restored the govt if he would not have resigned, but as it was a voluntary resignation the sc cannot restore that.
While all the channels are obsessed with the shenanigans of BJP and Congress and the ‘Maha’ elections it is creditable for the Print to do a story on one of the colourful though controversial judges👍
Electoral bonds judgement is befitting our culture. But I think it is not implemented the way it should.
Trying to save him from more disgrace, remember you don't decide for others, the general public knows this man has a legacy of anything but rich, don't need your eyewash.
Praying to God for aydhya judgment is super funny. Isn't lord ram one of the litigant?
You missed the mark with Sabarimala case...women cannot enter that temple not because they are impure but because the deity is in the state of celibacy.. be careful when you talk about such sensitive issues SG
ridiculous I should say
The priest's argument in the court was based on menstrual purity, regardless of what the popular faith is. That is why they got a scathing judgement. They could have presented any other reason, and it might have worked for them in the court
Nope he didn't, read what was the argument in the courts
Imagine a statue being in a state of celibacy ? The height of comedy ! You certainly should be careful 😅😅.
The clergy was quoting "tantra-samuchayam" in the court to validate the menstruation impurity bullshit. That's how the case went so bad for their side.
Beverages !! 😂
I am expecting you to mention the name of AN Ray the favourite Chief Justice of Indira Gandhi of the Emergency days
Sir, i am wife of a west bengal Government servent.they are deprived for dearness allowance from a very long time. The DA gap with central is 39%. The SLP case Pending with for last 2 years. But no hearing take place for a long time at SC. Only date of hearing postponed again and again. Pl explain why it is happenings.
Justice Chandrachud had various landmark judgements prior to become CJI... He let down many people like myself who had a high expectations from his brave judgements before becoming a CJI. But, his electoral bond judgement was the biggest (sadly the only) highlight of his judgement.
He encouraged totally benami contributions by that judgement. Back to old Congress days of rampant electoral corruption.
Hehe shekhar ji....being coy, are we !!
I would like to meet these social rascals who are criticizing him.
It's horrible how checks and balance of the constitutional establishment have been compromised It's a shame...and government of India should submit an affidavit how many of the pmo officials and joint secretary have their children in India
We do not trust chief justice of India
The biggest accomplishment of Chandrachud is restoring the faith in and dignity of the supreme court. Thanks sir, happy retirement ❤
How and when can one work when one spends huge amount of time attending public functions and lecture
AK and Sisodia bail only after election.
I just have a doubt why are we blaming the Supreme Court for Umar Khalid ?
The Supreme Court never passed any order for Umar Khalid
It was only the Delhi HC that denied him bail
Umar Khalid just withdrew the petition in the SC
If it is a Gender-related issue, or curbing the FREEDOM of WOMEN, this has not really existed in SABARIMALA.
Only women in their menstruating age groups are barred from entering Sabarimala temple. Women outside the ambit of menstruation are allowed entry.
So, the real problem is MENSTRUATION and not GENDER DISCRIMINATION or opposing women's rights.
After all the sad part is that The only two most respected and trussed institutions are the Indian Army and the Judiciary, but the opposition is trying to undermine both.., sad sad day for the country no matter whichever party you support.
DY Chandrachud may have done many good and bad things.
But his biggest failure in holding the state responsibility about unnecessary arrests and not being able to do anything in not granting bail by many of his colleagues.
The biggest example is - Umar Khalid and many like him.
Either u can punish him or release him or at least give him a bail.
You cannot keep anyone in jail without proving anything.
Hopeless behavior by a CJI .
Read the delhi court order. The judge has warned umar khalid to not delay the trial by several tactics. Open ur eyes.
@@Nikhil-tj4pn 😂😂😂 He is delaying his trial so that he remains in jail?
Wow.
When was the chargesheet filed? Do u know that?
Do you really think that delhi hc is unbiased.
@@rajuiyer6753 Indian police and judiciary is more corrupt than Indian politicians.
By the way, Umar Khalid is an example.
You punish anyone who is the culprit but police, ED, CBI is not starting cases for years, not even filing chargesheet.
That disabled professor who died a few days ago. Why was he in Jail for so long?
And after so many years he got bail.
Worse than Gogoi
In this long tenor, he managed to get good bribe and ruin future of thousands of neet UG aspirants.
Fourth kind of judge : one who relies on deities to make decisions.😢
He comes from a family of distinguished legal scholars
Never happened this situation ? with any other Cji of Supreme Court but electrol bonds and Haryana EVM , EC is fully sported by Supreme Court and in some cases part dissection was, but I respect Cji Chandrachud God bless him and his family
All speeches no action man. Will be remembered as a man who could but did not.
Time will tell he is Gogoi or not if he picks up a posting
He did far more damage than good
And of course let's not forget the cases he did not hear timely
And the cases where he did not stand up to the govt
if that's the case then a Muslim should never become judge because of his faith he will pray five times a day.
Now DY Chandachur will join Adani group as Vice President of legal affairs 😂
Shame on chandrachur. An influenced, coward and dishonest judge- Shame on
Print team, can you please upload these videos by 1.5x by default, thank you guptaji.
What is the use if you don’t have human relationships, Cji job is the future of the Country, but now Cji job is under control from Mafias
Wrong. As simple as that.
CJI comments are not taken in correct context. He probably 9:43 just prayed that he makes correct judgement. Storm in a teacup.
Will he be known as a pliant judge?😢
क्या प्रिंट ने शेख़ हसीना के निवास को सार्वजनिक कर उनकी सुरक्षा से समझोता किया है ? इसमें कितनी सच्चाई है ?
A great analysis achieving a central position. This can be a template for other journalists to emulate. 😊
Very long winded intro Sir.
Good reporting, but the 50 word edit is not going to give any kind of useful insights to the readers as it fails to present all the arguments and narratives in a concrete manner.
