NEET verdict was a blatant injustice towards lakhs of innocent aspirants.
Paper leak was evident from every corner and Justice Chandrachud overlooked it just to save the Govt's face.
    Very unfortunate verdict.

    - Anil Mashi was convicted of vote manipulation in Punjab, but no action has been taken against him or those who directed him.
    - Electoral bonds are unconstitutional, yet no action is taken against those involved.
    - Despite removing Lady Justice’s blindfold, Umar Khalid remains jailed without a trial.
    - Ram Rahim receives bail before every election, with no further inquiry.
    - Bulldozer demolitions continue despite court orders to stop them.
    - For Arnab Goswami, it’s about freedom of expression. Courts open at midnight to grant him bail, while many other journalists doing real journalism are imprisoned.
    - The Shiv Sena case drags on in court, with elections approaching.
In the Delhi liquor scheme, others are granted bail as courts find no evidence, but Kejriwal and others remain jailed, and there is no accountability for those making false allegations.
    - Mainstream media spreads fake and hateful news daily, with no sou moto cognizance.
    - The EVM petition remains unheard.
    - SEBI issues remain unaddressed.
Yes, he is leaving a legacy.

Chandrachud has brought this close scrutiny upon himself because of his flashy behaviour. It is apparent by now that he was more pro Modi than pro constitution. Few of his better judgements were nothing but making amends and damage control to his personal image as well as the supreme court. And after him comes a six month CJI. Things will slide further now.

Why are there no interviews of him in the last 10 years? What's his view on the current state of affairs? Did things turn out as he expected? What are his views on NM? It will be a Tehelka interview. Some valuable time was wasted in some cases like WB's RG college rape case. Umar Khalid bail application was heard by several judges or benches and in many case the judgement was reserved and new judge or bench constituted. This is one of the main reason for increase in pending cases numbers. The other was ED & CBI cases on opposition leaders. Third, could be number of cases registered were more than the cases heard and order issued. Finally, I would like to say I still sympathize with J. Chandrachud simply because of his behavior & actions in the last 6 months. Like giving explanation for judgement given 2 years back, why he invited PM for Puja, his digging ground for court extension building etc etc

14:33, our basics of thinking is not improved for Judiciary. Still we are stuck with what he/she should do and unable to take it further. What next if someone doesn't do what he/she was supposed to do? No action? Nothing to do? In other scenarios, we take actions, don't we? If a biker doesn't put helmet while riding 02 wheelers what Police does? But judges, advocates are free to do whatever they would like to do! No action will be taken if they do what they are not supposed to do. Interesting, isn't it?
FYI, his farewell speech is also disgusting. He compares bail of Arnab with bail of Zubair! And mocks the troll for becoming unemployed after his retirement! Many advocates have pointed out many wrongoings during his tenure in last 02 years.

The entire system of judiciary must change- from appointing judges to various courts, the method of selection etc. See the number of Brahmin judges in the Supreme court; out of 33 judges 9 or 13 are Brahmins. Are there no meritorious lawyers in India among other communities? Father became a Chief justice, son at a later time becomes a Chief justice. Uncle became a judge or Chief justice nephew later becomes a Chief justice. This happens only in India. The entire collegium system of judiciary will be done away with and a new democratic system for the selection and appointment of judges must be brought about.

The moment one thinks about the functioning of Chandrachud. The main achievements which comes to minds are what he did not do correctly rather than did correctly.
He proved himself to be a hypocrite.

When Chandrachur jr become the CJI, the entire left-illiberal ecosystem throught that they had Modi and BJP in a corner. That is makes these meltdowns so enjoyable. I'am lovin' it.

Against the backdrop of the highly saffocating majoritarian autocracy tightening its grip on almost each and every autonomous institution, Mr. Chandrachud as the CJI has definitely rendered a remarkable service to the nation by consolidating the deeply shaken foundation of our constitutional democracy. How can one ever forget his courageous contribution to the restoration of the near forgotten constitutional rights of the undertrials languishing for years in jail without bail as hapless victims of political vendetta and agency atrocities? So far the constitutional federalism is concerned, he has rescued it gallantly from the darkest dungeon of central hegemony depriving the states of their legitimate dues. His stand on the unconstitutional electoral bonds scams shows his spectacular moral courage and uprightness never seen before in our living memory.
