Princess Juliana Airport is renowned for thrilling low flying jets landing on its very short runway (7546ft). The take off procedure is also quite interesting due to the mountains located east of the runway. The airplanes have to commence an immediate left turn as soon as possible after lift off to avoid this terrain.
