    I agree with what someone posted earlier. I can't see myself going back to TV either. You get so used to the size of the picture I couldn't imagine having a TV that's smaller for my main source. I have a 144inch screen and an Epson 4000 in my living room. I had to buy blackout curtains for the windows to control the light coming in. I enjoy watching home theater setups mainly because it let's me know there are others who enjoy it as much as I . I especially like this setup too! It looks very cozy! Time flies when your watching a great movie!

      Thanks. You got nice projector!!! Reason I still use my TV is because 4K. My projector nice, but not 4K. If it was, I would be using it more than I do now. But movies will always bee seen on my projector no doubt. Only way to watch a movie is on a big screen😁👍. I always watch home theater setups too. So many nice ones out there. I'm like you, always watching others Home theater setups too. Projectors sooooo awesome!!!! Thanks for watching🙂👍

    It looks awesome! I Live in a small studio in Brazil but my apartment has one big wall that I dream of one day having enough money to install one of these screens. I immediately got my measuring tape to see if I could fit this big screen here and even though it fits it would take 90% of the wall hahahaha, I better get something smaller, perhaps 120" would be more them enough. Unless one day I could have a large room such yours. Well done, congratulations!

    • @oscargo29
      @oscargo29  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you. This screen was from a room from a previous home. Figured why not try it out in this home. So left it in this room because didn't feel bad at all. Actually glad it even fit. My fireplace takes up room that would have let this size screen fit better. Can't be perfect. As long as it works. Good luck. Thanks for watching. Nice to hear from Brazil 😀👍. Cheers Brazil. Hey, nice setup! I have had projectors in my setup since late 2010, and to be honest, I can never see myself going back to a regular TV anytime soon. The projector I am using right now is an Optoma Full HD, which I purchased back in summer 2013. And let me tell you... it rocks! The picture still looks great on it (despite only being a budget projector which is over 5 year old), and we have an LG 55" OLED downstairs to compare it to, so I deffo think the picture looks great). I use mine for both movies and gaming! It's like the focal point of my whole room. And dang!... 135 inches! I can only get 84 out of mine as my bedroom is barely 3.6x3m (12x10 foot). Well... I'm so happy you like your setup. :) I love mine! :D

      Thank you. Yes projectors are so awesome. When I got my first projector I was so happy, I made a RUclips video to talk about it. This is my second projector and second house I have set up a projector. You just have to work with what you got. My friends living room has a 150 inch screen!!! Now that's crazy!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I was reason he got his projector. I took mine over to his house and that was beginning of projectors him and me. I helped him setup in backyard too. He has 340 inch in backyard!!!! All depends on room you have.

I had a pull down screen it was hard felt like eventually I would pulled the it down off the wall lol... then I got an Electric screen. With your setup having this screen this high you should get an electric screen. It’s not that expensive.

    Another thing should be brought up is when using a projector you need to consider a sound source.
    Surround sound setup would be the best it will give you a Cinema experience, if that's not an option then a decent sound bar will be better than the stock projector speakers.

    • @oscargo29
      @oscargo29  5 лет назад

      Thanks. My screen is typical white screen. Looks ok. I'm not complaining, neither has anyone else. So I'm happy right now. This is one way to setup a projector and screen. Believe easiest, but not perfect or most optimal. You have to work with what you got. This what I have to work with and what I have done with my place. Not too shabby I think😆. Flat color paint does look good. I tested my projector at sisters house wall. And boy did it look good. But was just in a small section of wall. She would have to use screen. Just easiest way. Not perfect walls for everyone. But still do'able. Got to think it over and just try it out to see what best solution for your situation. Good luck.

If you wanted to be very bright and work in the daytime you need a laser projector I got one and they destroy Epson projectors well yeah I mean doesn't matter whatever bandit is my friend had the Epson I think 3,000 or someone 12 years it looks good but I got a Panasonic rz470u I believe that's what it is it's a laser projector and it's really good with the lights on it's really good. I like it. How long do the bulbs last nowadays for the projectors? I knew someone about 15 yrs ago who had a 720p projector and had a 90" screen for it and he had to replace the lamp bulbs at least once a year, but he used it alot.

    • @oscargo29
      @oscargo29  5 лет назад +2

      I don't use mine that much. So don't think even close to its bulb life. But yes. It all depends on how much you use it. Every day use will be sooner than later. But as long as you have fun using it. Worth price. Crazy fun watching shows and movies on a projector.

    • @toddstewart9070
      @toddstewart9070 5 лет назад

      It was actually about 13 years ago. We used to play Xbox 360 on it all of the time and it had amazing quality. I remember one year he had to replace the bulb 3 times. The bulbs weren't cheap, but he said that it was worth every penny.

    • @TheMeefive
      @TheMeefive 5 лет назад

      It depends on the projector. I got a mini projector from Amazon for 99 dollars.Bulb life is 30,000 hours if you never turn it off. I don't even use a tv anymore. There are less than 10,000 hours in a year so I'm expecting the projector to work at least three years before replacing. So far so good but even if it doesn't last that long, spending 99 dollars to replace it is still cheaper than a big screen tv.

    • @toddstewart9070
      @toddstewart9070 5 лет назад

      30,000 hours. that is great. avg lcd lifespan is around 50,000. I believe the projector from back then had a bulb lifespan of like 4,000 hours.

    Hi. I am getting this projektor screen tonight for my livingroom. I currently have a 116" Grandview, but my livingroom is huge, så 135" will be great. I want to aks, how have you connected your Firestick so it shows up at the projektor? Is it simply to plug it into one of the empty HDMI slots on the back of my Onkyo Surround sound reciever?

    Hey Oscar quick question, I seen your older video we’re you projected on to a wall and it looked great , are alr grey screens good vs whit screens? Should I pay more for an alr screen vs a cheaper white screen?

    • @oscargo29
      @oscargo29  Год назад

      ALR screens seam very cool but price seams kinda high. If you can afford one, sure get one. I'm happy with my white screen, but i do have a grey outdoor screen and it looks fabulous!!! Darker tint definitely makes images look more saturated for sure. If your projector has lots lumens then you can go grey. If your projector has low lumens then a darker screen might be too dark. It depends on projector if it can handle high lumens. Good luck. Check back when you get your screen.

    Loved my Optoma 1080p projector. Nothing beats the dollar to screen size ratio. Projectors will always be the best value in that department. However, what if you wanted to upgrade to a 4K setup? Not an easy process by any stretch. There are many things to consider when upgrading to 4K. The two main problems are, the selection of budget 4K projectors and then finding a long run of HDMI cable that can handle the bandwidth requirements of 4K. Currently no 4K projectors support Dolby Vision. They can however handle the HDR signal. The problem being. Are you getting a true HDR experience? Sure it'll display that HDR signal but not as it was intended to be. Bottom line, the current crop of 4K projectors really are not ready for prime time just yet. Having experienced true 4K resolutiom, HDR, and Dolby Vision on a flat panel display. I can never go back to a 1080p projector. Dolby Vision/HDR is a game changer. Don't short change yourself by skipping out on these wide color gamut technologies. Buyer beware also most 4K projectors use a pixel shifting technology to achieve full screen resolution. Give things a few years and see what shakes down for the projector market. If you want true 4K than consider stepping down to a TV. Even then your selection of large screens won't be that great. A 75" LED 4K HDR set can be had for about $1100.

      Thanks for info. Yes. I do think about 4K projector. But not in hurry to get one. I know eventually I will. But need to do lots of research still. Hate seeing projectors saying 4K but not true 4K. I was almost close to getting epson 5030 back when it was on top. But never bit the bullet. Eventually I will for a 4k that's just right. Just not now. I barely have any hours on my current projector 😆. Doesn't hurt to look thought right👍

      I bought all my screens from Amazon. Do what works best for you. Screen easy to set up. Just screw in some screws and your up and running. With paint you have to prepare surface and actually do a GOOD paint job. More work involved. As you see in my living room. I can't paint a screen. So I can only hang up a screen. Both good options. Just matter of more involved to get your screen painted perfect.

I connect bookshelf speakers to my Playstation and FireTV stick. Take a look at my other video yo give you an idea of how to connect devices to bookshelf speakers. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

That's asiest way. A second is of device your plugging in to projector tor has analog out 3.5mm or RCA out. Then you can follow my other video to get audio out. Congratulations on getting a projector. They are so much fun. Can use them indoors and outdoors. I purchased my screen from Amazon. Its model Elite Screens M135UWH2 for around $200. I like price and projector looks good on it. Looks like you got option to use a wall or to put up a screen. For me screen is quick and easy. Using a wall looks cool, but takes more time to complete the setup. That's what I see. Darker color screen does matter, but white screen cost less. What size screen can you fit on your wall your planning to use?? Bestbuy has screens too. Measure tour wall and then compare dimensions on projector screens. Good luck. If you have more questions about projector setup let me know.
