    I used only bose 161 for fronts and rears with a polk sub for a 135 inch screen in a fairly large space. Sounds great, very cost efficient. Center channels are overrated in my opinion. Great setup. I agree and think bose makes a quality product.

    Just my opinion...
    Why use Bose Speakers Bro...?
    There's a lot of speaker brand which better than Bose ( they get expensive because they sell a size....lol...)
    There's Keff, Mordaunt Short, JBL Cinema Pack, Q Acoustic Cinema Pack, or even High End B&W which gonna give you better sound efffect...
    Once again, it's just my opinion...
    Good Video Demo, Bro...

    • @mikem8145
      @mikem8145 4 года назад +1

      Please allow me to laugh. I would never buy any of the brands you mentionned. Exception being B&W. But do you at least know how much high end B&W cost? Try over 100K$ for a Nautilus set. No one makes anything like Bose. Period. I know I own two Accoutismass 10 systems and one B&W setup. It's true that Bose does not sound like my B&W towers. But on the other hand my B&W towers cannot be wall-mounted!!!! See, Bose has a unique purpose and it's to create a good 5.1 home-theater exprience that is virtually hidden from the eyes (speakers AND cables) while being pleasant to the ears. I once had a 7.1 THX setup in the living room with speaker wires big as a garden hose mounted to the wall (against vibration - please insert The Twilight Zone intro here). Not everyone wants this.

    • @dennyindarnanto2134
      @dennyindarnanto2134 4 года назад

      You right... Prize of B&W system were ways beyond space limit... And off course they need large room space too...
      Maybe my first experience about listening Bose system not run so well ( perhaps because the owner's can't install them properly ) so i'm looking for another brands of speaker for my system..
      And here you've shown us the great amplifier on your channel...
      Hope you enjoy your system set up Sir....
      Great video anyway...congratulation

    Contrary to every other speaker set You should separate those side speakers from the tv a couple of inches..

      I was looking for someone expressing this thought so I didn't say the same thing. That would have been my only critical opinion. Having the front speakers, well all the speakers as far apart as possible, especially in such a small area will make the sound feel much larger and open. I have the same Bose 5.1 with an Onkyo receiver in my bedroom. I actually had the speakers right beside my TV like yourself, I recently spread them out about a 14 inches on each side a there is a noticeable difference when the sound come driving or flying across the room. Nice job installing. Enjoy!

For the price, you can get much better value with pioneer andres jones, elac andrew jones, sony core series, svs ultra for compact or kef bookshelves. Maybo go with martin logan too. There are myriad of better speakers out there with lower cost and gives more performance. I'm not bashing just giving info for others who comes across this comment.

    Hi. Just to let you know...you've up set your receiver incorrectly. Actually i did the same mistake at the beginning with my adventure with dolby atmos. When the amplifier get the audio from bluray it should indicate on display DOLBY ATMOS. When you see SURROUND DECODE the amplifier decodes signal (usually from stereo) to make 5.1.(usually it is AC3 audio format) But this is not dolby atmos. If you try to play demo from youtube its going to be fake atmos as youtube don't support this format at all. If you play demo directly from bluray which is connected to one of the HDMI IN you should get the right signal and the receiver automatically will switch to atmos. If everything is connected correctly and you still don't see ATMOS on your amp try change the program using your remote.
    For example when my receiver is set in 9ch stereo and i play a film from media player it changes by itself to atmos when it recognize proper audio format. I have all my films in 7.1 TrueHD Atmos or Master Audio 7.1 Atmos format.
    I think also that Bose was not a good option...but that's your choice. I would say that's the speakers for users without high expectations regarding the sound reproduction. I was starting with a crappy set up as well but with time I've started to upgrade for far much better speakers and I've end up with: Yamaha 3080 Avantage, 2x Klipsch RP 280F, Klipsch RP 450C, 2x Klipsch RP 160S, 2x Klipsch 250S, 2x Klipsch RP 110SW and 4x Klipsch 140SA...and i still thinking about next upgrade.
    There is no highs there is no lows it has to be Bose...people don't say this without a reason ;-)

    The problem is not that bose is crap, they are descent (and only descent), the problem is the price. They charge you almost double of what the price should be for the quality you get. I mean for CAD $7000 you can get a very good set of speakers that would blow bose away.... but i guess people are willing to pay double just for the name. This is why apple is selling monitor stands for $999....

    I personally have been using, IIRC, the Bose Acoustimass 15 Series III with a 7.1 AC-3 + DTS Pioneer receiver since around 2003, with only 1 upgrade of the 7.1 Pioneer receiver 3 years ago to get the newer DTS-HD MA and TrueHD sound. I just purchased the Pioneer VSX-LX303 Receiver which has the 9.1.2 (or 7.1.4) Dolby Atmos and DTS X sound, and was wondering what I should do when it comes to the Bose setup, since as far as I know Bose has only up to the 7.1 setup, (I have been bypassing the Bose subwoofer using the long Bose speaker for the Center channel and not the double cube). Can anyone tell me what they recommend to get the last 2 ceiling speakers set up? Is there a Bose sub that accepts up to 8 speakers instead of 6, or should I just get two more double cube speakers and just set them up direct from the receiver to the ceiling? Thanks!

Sure I have 2 W12 Golds in my main room and yes Bose does not compare but you're talking about a £2k system vs an £8k system. Bose are great for such tiny speakers mixed with the sub and clever DSP to give a rich sound with plenty of low end. Yes it is fake, I know this as do most people but the way it works is undeniably clever and gives a pretty good sound stage in my opinion.

    Hola, muy buen conjunto!, pero tengo una pregunta, tu reciver reconoce esta configuración 5.1.4 como dolby atmos, o DTS? Porque tu subwoofer es activo, y todos los cables de altavoces de 5.1 están conectados a el, y el hace MAGIA con el sonido, gracias por adelantado por tu respuesta.

    • @yeisonx
      @yeisonx  5 лет назад +1

      Hola, muy buena pregunta. Si, el AVR recive la señal de tv, blueray o otro input en el formato que fue creada (sea DTS or ATMOS) y luego el AVR hace el render en el formato original dependiendo que configuracion de speakers tengas (5.1.4, 5.2.4,7.1.2 or 7.1.4) o la que tengas. Todos los outputs salen del AVR incluyendo los del Acoustimas por ende el resultado final es en ATMOS o DTS dependiendo.

    • @olehole8898
      @olehole8898 5 лет назад +2

      Gracias hombre, esto lo entiendo, pero aún tengo una pequeña duda, porque, por si mismo el 5.1 Acoustimass 10 serie 5 fue creado para reproducir el DOLBY PROLOGIC o DTS normales, (si yo no me equivoco), i por esto, la señal de sonido que sale desde AVR es dolby atmos o el dts x, (claro si la fuente lo permite ), se supone, que el subwoofer esta señal modifica a una dolby o DTS normales, y yo no estoy seguro de que esta señal se compagina muy bien con la señal de los cuatro altavoces de de techo (de Dolby atmos), quales salen desde AVR sin pasar por subwoofer activo. Gracias por la atención, de todos modos!, usted me puede enviar algún enlace de configuración de Acoustimass 10 serie 5 para dolby atmos 5.1.4 para mi pioneer vsx lx303 (el tiene 9.2 canales ) porque yo estaba buscando y no encontré nada, gracias otra vez!

    • @yeisonx
      @yeisonx  5 лет назад +1

      @@olehole8898 Exelente apunte! has leido y se nota. En realidad el Acoustimas 10 V puede servir para muchos propositos entre ellos ATMOS. Mucha gente se confunde por que cuando van a la tienda de BOSE buscan un AVR marca BOSE o un paquete que traiga ATMOS el cual hasta el momento no existe (hasta la fecha donde yo habia averiguado) Ahora, la señal que envia tu AVR pioner que trae ATMOS and DTS X debe ser de una fuente que contenga uno de los dos formatos como tu mencionaste. Estas señales van a pasar primero por tu AVR y es el AVR el que determina a que canal va a ser dirigida esta señal. El mixing que pasa en el modulo que esta dentro del BOSE Sub es de frecuencias unicamente y esto se debe a que los drivers de los parlantes de BOSE son pequeños y manejan un rango de frecuencias. Este mixing es indispensable para que el sub se encargue de las las frecuencias que los twiters no van a producir. Ahora bien, a tu pregunta sobre lo que pasa con los height speakers (que en tu caso puedes tener 4, como lo explica tu manual de instalacion del pioner Pag 105) Height rear x2 and height front x2 , estos speakers van a recivir la señal necesaria directamente de tu AVR sin pasar por el BOSE sub. El resultado final es tu Pioner AVR reproduciendo las señales ATMOS adecuadas para cada canal en el momento que se requiere. Debes hacer el proper tunning de tu AVR y parlantes y esto esta en tu manual de instalacion. Entiendo que el manual (o los manuales ) no hacen un buen trabajo explicando aveces como conectar todo para que funcione como debe ser, especialmente cuando son marcas diferentes entre AVR , speakers etc. Para terminar Pag na 44 de tu manual (en ingles) te muestra como conectar cada speaker en la conf 5.1.4. Buen dia !

      @@yeisonx Muchas gracias amigo por ayuda y explicaciones , yo pienso igual que usted, que (por ejemplo en mi caso) un conjunto 5.1.4 está compuesto por un 5.1 normal de toda la vida, más 4 altavoces de techo, que hacen juntos LA MAGIA - un DOLBY ATMOS! También sigo pensando, que el conjunto que tiene usted, es el THE BEST!, the Best 5.1(2019) + mágic dolby atmos!!! Un saludo enorme!
