Other than sights, every Glock upgrade I've ever bought I eventually took off bc it had some issue or it didn't outperform the factory part. Real experience being shared.
Not all Glock parts need to be replaced. You DO get improved use, performance. Sights, barrels, extractors, triggers, slide locks, guide rods. I like KKM barrels, also True Precision. Both barrel designs are ✅️ . Mil Spin back plates are +.
GLOCK Part number 8794 is the cheapest and most effective extended magazine catch available. I think it retails for around $5 or so, and makes a world of difference for your Gen5 GLOCK. And it’s an OEM part!
Check out the Vickers Tactical Slide Racker. Like the other Vickers products, it strikes the perfect balance between that extra control and not being so big it's in the way. Great for older shooter and especially your EDC gun.
I agree 100%!!! I installed the Vickers Tactical slide racker on all of my Glocks & P80's, it definitely gives you a little extra gripping surface when racking the slide 👍🏽
I had my G19 milled for a red dot and at the same time they cut some S&W scallop-style serrations in the front and top of the slide. Adds a nice bite when press-checking and looks awesome. My G26 I put XS Big Dot night sights, and a Hogue Hand-all rubber sleeve over the grip. I also use a +1 pinky extender on the G26 mag if you count that. That's all!
My standard upgrades are always an Overwatch precision trigger, L2D enhanced slide internals, extended mag release, extended takedown lever, and xs suppressor height sights.
No need for a defensive gun. Just adding money to something that you may never see again if you actually have to use it in defense. I find the stock trigger in my 19x to be good, better than I expected with how much people bitch about Glock triggers.
For Gen 3 factory .45/ 10mm mag releases can be used as an extended mag release in a small frame 9mm/.40/ 357 sig. These used to be less than $10 for a factory part.
The only upgrades needed on any Glock IMO are sights and a grip enhancement. Learn how to use the tool / Glock and you'll be just fine. Adding accessories 'upgrades' all you're doing is asking for malfunctions. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Stay safe God Bless ✌️ 🇺🇲
The Glock performance trigger is worth wile update. It comes with the original Glock guarantee from the Glock factory, and it's much better than the original trigger.
I agree 100% on the Vickers Slide Stop. Ive got two Glocks now with them, and have had about 5 others. Besides sights, its the first thing I replace on every Glock.
I would not recommend them, I've had 2 break on me and their customer service said tough luck. It's unfortunate cuz they were one of my favorite slide stops. I run a kagwerks now
Because people who may cringe a little at paying $600 for a Glock certainly don't want to pay $900 for a Glock. They're in competition with companies like CZ and PSA that can offer comparable for less $$$$.
Instead of buying a glock 19, id go for a cz p10c, save money, have a better trigger, grip, sights, and have enough left over for ammo and a holster. Same goes for the glock 26 and p10s or 17 and p10f. Only buy a glock if you are aware and have handled it's competitors!
Don’t waste money on plastic sights. Buy metal ones. Ameriglo makes good sights for a reasonable price. If you want a magwell don’t buy the magpul plastic one. Zev and slr rifle works are the best. If you’re a trigger snob apex it.
My opinion is and again it's my opinion so just hear me out, there is only one scenario where I think you should do anything to your firearm. (Upgrades etc.) That scenario is, if you're NOT using that firearm as your EDC. I would caution anyone upgrading their EDC because in the case for Glock, Glock makes firearms that work and work every time you pull the trigger. Why compromise the integrity and reliability of a firearm that already works by adding upgrades? If you God forbid ever need your firearm to defend yourself and hopefully you never do, knowing your gun simply works when you need it is a comforting feeling. If your firearm is simply a firearm that you don't typically use as your EDC well have fun with it and make it your own. Just my opinion
Nothing wrong with that. The trigger, while not even as bad as people make it out to be, will get better the more you shoot it. Instead of buying expensive unnecessary aftermarket parts, buy more ammo, and replacement springs and shoot the crap out of it and replace the worn parts. Recoil spring assembly be good to have on hand as well. They just work man. No need for the extra junk just to post on social media lol
Not quite under $50 (more like 100 msrp) would be the Glock performance trigger. It's much, much better than the original Glock trigger and it comes with the Glock guarantee of reliability. You might want to consider it for either legal reasons or if you need it for i.e. IPSC production, where you can't use 3rd party components. By legal reasons I mean if you were to stand in trial for a self-defense shooting, you can argue you only used original Glock factory parts.
That adjustable rear sight is trash. It came stock with my gen 5 Glock 34. It has a very limited adjustment range on the elevation, can’t even achieve a proper zero. Ended up replacing with an aftermarket rear sight
I thought this was going to be an April fools joke, fully of outlandish accessories, but seeing as it's just a solid video about Glock parts, I am now deeply disappointed.
A convicted felon for unregistered machine guns, no? That’s based and makes me like him even more lol. You ever heard of the second amendment, you boomer?

That's not quite true. You'll never buy a gun that is absolutely 100% the way you'd like it to be. Or maybe it's a personality-type thing. Some people just buy a gun and think it's perfect, and other people just always want to tweak it until it's perfect. I'm the type who thinks that over-tweaking and tuning a gun is mostly stupid (a lot of people tend to do that), but you can make a gun better for your personal needs with a little tweaking. For example I have short thumbs and a lot of normal mag release buttons are just awkward for me. Can't reach them without breaking my grip.
@@maximilianmustermann5763 I just like hating on Glock. They’re great, but they’ve been left in the dust by most other manufacturers. In my experience, no amount of mods will make a Glock ergonomic or have a decent but reliable trigger.
From a buddy of mine in an agency: 17,000 rounds with one malfunction, which he claims he caused. He isn't really a fanboy, owns a few other brands, but told me if he has to go do work it is with his Glock. Not sure about all agencies, but no upgrades allowed by his, I think he said even on backup pieces.
Glocks are like Ruger 10-22's, in order to get what you want you must upgrade most of the firearm. Better trigger, better barrel, better sights, better internals, which can be fun.....once. So many other manufacturers actually sell Glock style pistols that are what they should be.
Red herring, if you want the reliability and durability Glock is known for, you don’t change anything at all. There’s not 1 aftermarket part for sale that is “better” than what it had when it left the factory with
Do whatever you want to your gun but these products aren't upgrades. People buy Glocks because their simplicity produces reliability and durability. Nothing wrong with buying a more mechanically complex gun or adding parts to a Glock but that's not the purpose of a Glock.
@@stephen_crumley Glock kinda disagrees with you on the trigger, which is why they offer the new performance trigger 😉 It really is a lot better than the original trigger and it comes with the full Glock guarantee. With other parts, it depends on what you're looking for I guess. If you want an excellent match trigger, Timney is absolutely superb. It's near 1911 match-trigger quality and it will certainly be a blast for competition (if and when you're allowed 3rd party triggers in said competition). Would I use it as a carry or self-defense gun with the Timney - no I don't think so.
@@stephen_crumleyI agree, except for the sights. The plastic sights suck. Night fission and ameriglo make great, somewhat affordable usa made night sights though. Obviously there’s trijicon too, but they’re more expensive for no extra features.
