Do they have surrogate moms for the babies to cling to and be held close. I know the caretakers play with the babies and maybe hold them for comfort, wish we could see that with this baby chimp.

Imagine being locked in a room all day by yourself, yea you will be fed and cleaned, you would lose your mind. This is the children's zoo in Seoul, Korea, and they DO think this is caring, Sharon. I think her name is Pankun (not THAT one, but another one), and she *had* to be pulled from her mum and hand-reared. It's simply stupifying to me that *SO* many babies from this zoo must be pulled because their mums are just too stupid to let instinct take over and care for their infants themselves. Sha...whatever. I don't buy it for a second. Now they have another 3-month-old in the same crib, all alone, following the same under-developed trajectory, unable to even roll over off his own blanket at 3-months old. It's sad....
aw...that breaks my heart. and I agrre with you. its so sad and I only wish it wasn't true. but when you listen to world news north and south has always been rather screwy so can we say they are ignorant? yes because to be ignorant is to "ignore" and they do exactly that. ignore all the laws.
