I have owned my 2012 Audi B8 S4 for a couple months now and have put a lot of time and energy into researching which company I wanted to go with for my ECU and TCU tuning. In this video I explain why I went with Integrated Engineering and what I plan on accomplishing with this car.

Happy to have you on the team! Many updates coming for the B8 here shortly as well. And just to clarify on that time in Oregon it was 10.37@131.09 which at the time was the second-fastest stock turbo run, was nice to meet you there as well.

Currently running IE on my S4 and have been very happy with it. Also had their software on my Golf R. They were the reason I switched from APR in addition to their customer service. Good choice and I’m enjoying the content!

I'm running a simple Stage 1 on my 15' Tiguan - their customer service is amazing and the tune is crazy on what is otherwise a grocery getter.

Nice video. Very keen to see the progress of the build especially with all the testing and logging. One of my favourite mods to my S4 I have done is the 034 motorsports solid rear sway bar makes a huge difference.

Completely agree, I'm really not a huge fan of the 034 customer service but the solid rear sway bar is a huge improvement for my C7

Cool to see your reasons on why you went with I.E. Also cool to see more b8 s4's in general on youtube. I run I.E. as well and love the tune for my car currently dual pulley and moving to the throttle body and e40 tune when i get the funds here soon. Hoping all this press for them will push I.E. continue to push updates and new products and such to help us I.E. guys to take back the throne if whether it be you, me , or anyone else. Time to break some more records lol
I'm really excited about the potential of their tunes and what I'll be able to hopefully accomplish on this platform

Just got a 2013 s4 b8.5 and i love it, still on a stage 1 apr with dual pulleys and a heat exchanger, but going with integrated stage 2 soon with the dsg tune, i would like to go e40 but will be later on.

Last night S4matty ran a 10.3 with ie, one of his friends ran a nice 10.98 @125 but it was on a custom tune. I tagged you in the post.

Are you going straight dual pulley or starting with stage one? I’m pumped man! I’m glad someone is making quality vids and picking up the platform. I plan on going from APR stage 1 to IE dual pulley hopefully in about 2 months.
I will be going stage by stage, mod by mod to slowly but surely upgrade performance and show everyone what the car is capable of at each level of the build.
Great call on Unitronic. They really are excellent the newer platforms and the RS3. The S3, Golf R not so much.. United Motorsports seems to have more tuning options
My 2016 Audi S3 had a Unitronic tune on it to start and it was the best tune I had for daily driving. United Motorsport was the fastest though back in 2017. Not sure that is true anymore though.
2015 audi s4 ie dual pulley air intake and ecs valved exhaust....thanks to Damon at IE and Paul at PgPerformace. Sport differential is a must have. Abbotsford B.C

Add the underbody brace to tighten up the handling even more. Trust me worth every penny.
I got the springs for the ride height. Just so happened it helped the handling as well. I won't be spending any more money on handling upgrades. I just need it to squat and go, lol
IE is great I got a tune and downpipe from them for my b8 A4 and its super high quality

I just installed the Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake on my 2015 A3 2T 8V. Totally love it!!! I posted a video on install and test. Let me know wot you think. Looking to test it in sport mode this weekend.😁
Btw, where did you get the carbon fiber engine cover? I’m actually thinking of fabricating one to match the intake cover I got from IE. I admit, I’m getting valuable info/insight from your videos on doing mods.

Hey there Adam, great vids and channel, love the content. I'm curious about the suspension, did you get coil overs or springs ? And how much of a drop did you get ?
I first tried out H&R Sport Springs. They were too low and rode too harsh. I then switched to Eibach Pro-Kit springs. They ride extremely well but are now too soft for launching well on track.
Been binging through your videos, love the content, I purchased a 6mt 2011 s4 and there seems to be rev hang when I shift between 1 and 2 with some delay during downshifts, it makes it hard to do a smooth rev match, wondering if the IE tune fixes that?
No idea honestly. I haven't driven a manual S4 before. Your best bet is to email them and ask directly
I think you missing the Sport differntial, it does help the handling a lot but for drag time it might.
What's up from Kamloops! Thanks for the insight to iE. I'm shopping tunes for my recently purchased B8.5 S5 and would like to do a stage 2+ when my warranty is up next year. Will you be using much of their other products such as intake, throttle body, DP's + exhaust, pully's or do you recommend something else?
Hey there! I am more than likely going to be slapping on every bolt on I can find and then some. From what I have experienced thus far with IE they make wicked hardware too.
Adam, I’m stuck between IE and Unitronic for stage 1 tune on my 2019 S3. If Uni I’d go stage 1+ as we have 93 octane in FL. Any helpful insights? I’m not tracking it’s just my 3 day a week driver that I want to spice up.. Ps props on staying as calm when you hit that bump in the road lol I would have said some swear words for sure hahah
@@savanakoslick4805 I had a 2016 Audi S3 where I used Unitronic, APR and United Motorsport tunes on it. Unitronic was by far the best for smoothness and daily drivability.

I’ve seen way too many delaminating issues with the down pipe from IE. haven’t seen a single issue with 034’s. I went with 034 just because of this
I'm taking a wild stab in the dark and am guessing that you're talking about the B9 platform, even though this video is specifically talking about the B8 platform?
About ready to pick my first tune. Is Crackle possible with IE in Stage 1 if you pay for the Stage 2 software? I don't have Stage 2 hardware yet, but would like the ability to play with the crackle option. This will be fun to watch!
I honestly don't know yet. I haven't tuned the car yet or even looked through my available tunes. I'll be updating everyone and will even do videos in the future of the difference between a crackle tune and regular one.
I love the IE stage 2 tune on my S3. But the only signs of life from IE all year has been that RS3 exhaust release. No sales. No news. Parts out of stock (not their fault I get it). The APR tune on my wife’s car has had updates available over the last few years. I kind of expected an occasional update from IE. Maybe they nailed it and it doesn’t need anything haha ?

Check out jokerz performance a lot of stuff coming out for our cars. Ported blowers, throttle bodies and upgraded intercoolers for the supercharger.

Where did you pick up those RS Side Grilles? Also those H&R springs....Look great but they Rub a lot.
Fog light grills were an Ebay purchase. H&R springs never rubbed once for me. My guess is you were using big wheels & tires.

I have the front RS grille in, been looking to pick up the sides so I'll do some research. - Rubs way less with the stock wheels. (I live in NYC, so roads aren't the greatest either. Bumps here will lower your windows and lock your doors for you)
Actually talking to a tuning shop next week for the stage 1 tune. I think you convinced me to go with I/E over 034...Don't want to cheap out. Seems like good middle ground for a only a bit more.

Hey so I have IE stage 1 tune on my 2015 b8.5 S5. How much ethanol can I safely blend in with the 93 tune. Will there be a difference in performance here in Southern FL?

My question is why the ethanol guage? I understand it tells you how much you have but does it plug into the ECU and adjust the tune?
These cars do not have flex fuel meaning you can't just throw in any amount of ethanol you want. I have to keep it less than 20% ethanol to prevent the motor from leaning out.
Their intake makes decent numbers on the b8 s4 as well.

S4matty has gone 10s full weight with his 2010 b8 s4. Was apr ultra charged I believe

The car had an APR ultra charger and IE software.
You may want to mate the 034 tcu tunecwith it to avoid the gear drop issues
I'm gonna stick with Integrated Engineering for both my ECU and TCU tuning. Thanks for the suggestion though!

If the record is 11.0... I’m going to assume that it’s a gutted car. Since you’re not going that route, I’m not seeing any 10’s in your future. Hope you can pull it off tho brother!
Will take me less than an hour to pull out the seats and trunk gear for some weight reduction, then put it back in after I'm finished racing. 10's are the goal.
Vancity Audi gotcha! I was thinking door cards, headliner, etc would have all been removed in that record setting car. Just figured you wouldn’t go that far, but you might not have to hopefully. I believe in ya man and can’t wait to see what she does 💪🏻
