I am so jealous of that launch control sounds so sick I’m United Motorsport dual pulley and they don’t have that ignition cut launch control makes me wanna switch to 034
nash nelson it’s fun!
Great videos man i just realised i wasnt subscribed. Thanks for being honest and humble bro. I have a b8 s4 looking to do some tunes and stage 2 on it. Its just kinda expensive tho lol. Your videos help alot trust me.💯💯
Thank you!
Start with buying a bigger heat exchanger, that way once you add your bolt ons and tunes your car wont overheat
Congrats! Such a sick S4 Tommy! Will possibly consider trading in my A6 3.0t for something like your S4. Unfortunately for us A6 owners, modifying for more power on our 3.0t is limited compared to the same motor used on the S4 which already came with 333 hp compared to 290 hp.
If your A6 has the same engine as the S4 you actually can make same power if not more. Contact 034 for more info
JJ, the C7 A6 3.0T can run the exact same tuning that Tommy is running here. You can definitely have some fun with it!
Thanks Tommy and 034motorsport for the quick response.
I am abroad right now but when I return to the US will definitely check you guys out!
another great video and product review as always bro
I think you got me sold on 034, I like the setup of their website too. What exhaust setup you got? I might have missed it while browsing the website.
JHM Test Pipes with AWE touring exhaust
Great content bro!! ✌🏽💯🔥🔥🔥
Thank you
Damn, it sounds so good Tommy
I know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Cedric Kody instablaster ;)
Great video tommy
Thank you!
I don't know if this question was asked, but does 034 have a tune for the ported blower; can you explain how that works with tuning and with also adding a tb in your future?
Nice vid
What size rotor rims?
Do you have a drop ?
Want fuel cut as I can't have launch control coz I got the 6 speed
Great review Tommy! You gotta stop by and grab lunch again once this covid thing is over
Thank you! Yeah sounds good 🤙🏻
That crckling sound, does it only happen when you have stage 2 upgrade? Cause I have stage 1 (TCU and DSG) and it doesn’t happen to my car. Your car look awesome bro. I wish I have the budget to make mine like yours.
Contact 034 they have the crackle file for all stages now
I contacted 034, they said I need to get the test pipe to be able to get the crackle file, or else it will be harmful to stock cats (not recommended). Plan B I guess is getting stage 2 and Res-X delete and X-pipe.
Bro what exhaust set up did you have? This thing sound amazing. No trumpet sound.
nice man, Im thinking about going dual pulley
What color is it, it looks good in the sun nice and clean.
Quartz metallic grey
Thank you it’s looking good
It’s going to be mosoon or quartz grey
Great video man. I got a question. I installed a 034 TCU tune in March, is there a way to know if an update was released?
Contact 034 Motorsport for that
Insane. Im also looking to use 034 motorsport as my tuner. I drive a 2012 Audi A7 3.0T. Just want to know did you do a file for the ported blower?
You don’t use a file update for a ported blower
@@TommyLinebarger Thank you , I've always wondered.
And Are you planning on upgrading the throttle body and Heat exchanger , just to get that bit of extra kick?
I sold the car a few months ago, looking for the next project. I would’ve done throttle body next though
What size crank pulley are you using? Did you have to grind a little to fit, if you ran the 190?
Thinking about going with 034 for my C7 a6, does the tune let you flash back to stock to keep your warranty when heading to the dealer?
Yes it does
just ordered this tune today for my a5. i was curious, when you use the cruise control to enter launch mode do the fan speeds pick up to enble extra cooling? i only ask cuz Integrated Engineering offers that feature on there tune when in launch mode, is this the same?
so will they be adding ignition-cut to only dual pulley? Or will they add it to stage 1? Also is the crackle tune on stage 1?
Hey what exhaust? Just AWE? Down pipes? Cats?
Do I need dual pulley for stage 2+?
I don’t always get tuned. But when I do, it’ll be with 034 Motorsport
Has the throttle body and intake been modded to allow more air in? What about your cooling setup, how's the car getting on with those higher charge temps? My B8 has a dual pulley stage 2 (hitting 480hp/593nm) and also has the larger throttle body but as it's still on the OEM cooling setup I'm not gonna push it any higher until I get round to upgrading to a performance cooling system.
In my opinion i encourage every audi s4 owner thats going to add bolt ons, to start with buying the heat exchanger first
@@JayLupe Agreed, I'm surprised that the PO who did the mods didn't upgrade the cooling first, definitely on my to-do list. On that note though, only got the car a couple of weeks ago. I just looked through the history and found the receipts, turns out that it is not dual pulley, only the supercharger one is downsized. It's had an MRC stage 2 with remap, larger 034 intake elbow and mods made to the OEM airbox. Got rolling road printouts with 480hp/593nm on the last run. Really surprised to see that power without a bigger throttle body! I live in scotland where temps rarely get above mid 20's (celsius) even in summer so IAT heatsoak shouldn't be much of a problem here. The mercracing cooling setup looks brilliant value for money, will be looking at fitting one of those once my finances recover early next year!
Whats the point of the two step of its supercharged?
Am I right in thinking you're dual pulley with just a bigger crank pulley. If so, what size?
No I have a supercharger pulley as well
what size are the exhaust tips
yeah i’ll be flashing my b8.5 soon as i can 😂
Sick man!
So do u not have a dual pulley?
What’s your exhaust set up?
How do u shut the fans off at idle?
What exhaust setup do you have?
I’m running a single pulley stage 2 EuroDyne tune (ECU/TCU) on my b8 s4 just cause it’s my local tune and I’m running a 94 octane tune pushing around 470 hp with a cts intake and just x pipe and baby res delete I want more power and just overall better performance and I was considering a meth kit but I heard it’s not reliable can you tell me your thoughts on how I can improve my build?
I have always learned that meth isn’t a way to add power but to reduce temps and produce richer combustion. I’m not a huge fan of it because it’s another system that can fail and cause damage. If I were you I would look into a ported blower.
Can you list the mods?
Do an updated mods video please ! Would appreciate it wheels and all
Pedro Hernandez 👍🏼
@@TommyLinebarger would like to know what did you Ported???
If you upgrade your single pulley to the ratio of duel pulley, does the supercharger make as much noise as the duel pulley and will it also blow out your cats?
Yes it does if not more noise. Yes it will over time
@@TommyLinebarger is it more of the same thing or does it differ somewhere like efficiency or something?
I think I may have read your question wrong. If you’re referring to the two different ways to achieve dual pulley ratios, then no the supercharger will be acting the same in both ways.
How’s the reliability of the car following the tune?
Has been very reliable, the car has been great
Thanks Tommy for the info, my local APR distributor in the UK has recently highlighted a couple of blown piston on there recent stage 2 upgrades just days before my car was due to go into the shop. So I’m looking for other options.
Weird
didnt talk about IE to 034 benifits and negative
I don’t have too much experience with IE to give them a fair review
Im thinking of going IE, 034 or APR tune
All great choices
does 034 have an upgraded throttle body tune? if so which throttle bodies is it compatible with?
Yes they do
@@TommyLinebarger thanks, but I cant find which ones they program for? Im assuming the IE and iABED then?
I believe 034 has a tune for each TB I would contact them
@@TommyLinebarger ah aight thanks
I have a 2011 Audi s4 and i just got it and it broke down the first day the engine light came on and said something went bad with the gearbox
Aww sorry man, start scanning codes and doing some research on it
Tommy Linebarger i tooook it yo my nearest mechanic and their charging 15 grand and that’s too much
Wow that’s not accurate at all. I would take it to someone who knows these cars. Investing in a VCDS or other scan software then looking up those issues on Audizine is where I would start
Tommy Linebarger oh ok thank you but do you think a new transmission is 13 thousand that’s how much they were charging
That’s probably correct, however a transmission replacement isn’t that common.
Stage 1 for me gets 443 hp??
Stage 1 ECU from 034 will give you approximately 430hp at the crank.
Hi I currently have the same year s4 as you with apr dual pulley and all supporting mods on 93 file. Do you have upgraded throttle body or just ported blower?
Just the blower, TB is something on the list still
Hey tommy, I have ie dual pulley on 93, how much of a performance difference would it be with 034 dual puppet on 93?
Tough debates can be had about that. I haven’t had IE so I don’t know how they compare
Well 034 has better power figures on 91 than ie on 93, so I was debating the switch. It’d be great if you could do a comparison with other tuners.
If I find a car that has IE same spec as mine I sure will!
@@jgurdon I mean, 034 has higher hp numbers, but ie has much higher torque. I was originally going to go with 034, cause I felt the car was really missing that pulling power that I wanted on the freeway, but i ended up going IE because a couple people I know have it and persuaded me to go that direction. but I'm curious on the difference in feel as well. regardless, both seem like great tunes and I honestly think they're probably the best choices for this car if you're looking to tune it. which you should lol... at least stage 1.
Elycius I have ie dual pulley now on 93 with test pipes and charge cooler, the car feels solid and hasn’t had any issues yet. but I just have to wonder the difference because it seems all the 034 cars are making the most power, I did notice that torque numbers were lower than ie though.
How much is the tune $?
Check out 034 Motorsport website for more info
thanks on the update tommy @davidsp27
I went Stage 2 and got a Gearbox Malfunction in just a matter of 4 days 😓
That’s a known issue with the DSG transmission not due to tuning
That happened to me in June with a stock 2012 S4, aggressive driving and the known issue is a bad mix. Like Tommy said, not the tunes fault brother :(
Brandon Revoy what ended up being your issue?
@@jovanyverdugob I had to replace my mechatronic unit in the trans. Running minty now, but it was not cheap
Is anyone ever actually going to make videos driving the cars not talking the whole time? Launches flybys pulls etc.
how many miles do you think your car can last without test pipes before destroying your cats with a stage 1 crackle tune
Really depends on how you drive the car. But they will last a while if you’re just stage 1.
do you think it’s more towards a couple hundred or about 1k miles that it should be okay?
@@andrevvhong Crackles won't blow out cats, higher tune power will.
034Motorsport so with a stage 1 tune with your crackle tune i should be fine without buying test pipes at all? thinking about getting it later this month
Yes they make a soft ignition cut for those with cats still
Wait, their stage 1 comes with the crackle tune? everywhere else has that feature only on stage 2.
also if anyone knows, can you swap between 91, 93, and 103 octane files freely or do you have to pay each time? (assuming i have the end user flasher)
You can swap freely if you have the flash cable
I have a water meth injected B8.5 S4 and can confirm....you will get fire😅
Bro you gotta post a vid of that
@@swiftripper7557 it's on my ig

Just fyi: As a advanced Smog Technician, & being that I have had extensive schooling not only as a mechanic, but additionally as an advanced Smog Technician here in Southern California, & would just like to mention that catalytic converters do not operate properly and as designed, until they warm up to their proper operating temperature, which happens to be 1600°F. This is the temperature that the special contents/minerals that reside inside the catalytic converter begin to actually do their job is at 1600°F and no less than 1600. So, to suggest that the cars cats being located as they are, so close to the exhaust manifold, will in turn cause them to be "blown out" because of the high temperatures of 1600 °F that they become do to their location being so close to the stock (exhaust manifold,) not header, unless you have made that modification to your Audi S4 B8, is simply an incorrect statement, as 1600°F is the proper and correct operating temperature that the catalytic converters should and do operate at when they are working as designed, and not a just reason for a catalytic converter to fail or to fall below the 95% operating threshhold that the cars computer will throw a code and cause a check engine light to happen as a result. Btw... which can easily be fixed several different ways without needing to purchase new cats. Simple research and the assistance of well schooled smog techs can likely shed light on the subject for you and save you money! Hope this helps! ; )
Yes, while heat may not be the primary cause for failure, the pressure or heat are the only two possible factors for early cat failure. I’ve seen more than1600* btw. Thank you for your insight
The website says the ecu tune isn’t street legal
no tunes are street legal.
When police officers pulled me over for speeding, NOT ONCE did they ask, "Is your car tuned?"
I sold my s4 and lost 20k 😢😢
Aww man
Never buy a new car
Music is way too loud and annoying. Please don't do that.
Man I want to sell my S4 Wagon now and get a sedan :O
Sounds terrible
