After my stage 5 tune on my 2004 vw R with a 1.8t swap with huge gt-35 precision turbo I will be getting my 2012 Audi S4 tuned to stage 2+. The vw was ridiculous and worked awesome, but race cars catch fire sometimes 😂
Definitely get the Audi... I See you have the hellcat badge... I own a 2017 Audi A6 S-line with over 500hp and it murders a hellcat,, just saying😂🤣🤣. I really didn't think the hellcat that fast. Now I see why the kitty cat has 0% chance against a modified Audi imagine like the RS version.... Fuck the kitty cat... Need like a high end lamborghini or top of the line Ferrari to even think about taking down an RS version. Audi is one bad ass car! Not trying to brag but at a light, iv killed shelby mustangs, z06, BMW M5, Mercedes s63. You can't beat it unless you got like a p100D which everyone driving modle 3 now... which they don't stand a chance! Hahahaha 😂
Hi 034, I tried this in my somewhat recently acquired 6MT B8.5 S4 tonight for the first time. It was awesome. One question though, does the accelerator have to be pushed down ALL the way for the fuel to cut at the preset rpm (in my case tonight it was 2200 ish) or will it just cut at the set limit even if I'm at like 3/4 throttle? If I goose it WOT in 1st gear the tires spin even if I'm rolling forward with the clutch all the way out already. Tonight when I let the clutch out it spun quite a bit. I suppose I could turn it to the lowest setting, 2k and try that but it seems like it would still spin.
You can engage ALC at 3/4 throttle or however much throttle is needed to reach the set RPM. We'd recommend trying the lowest setting to see if it still spins, you may just need new tires! Shoot an email to us at tuning@034motorsport.com if you have any further questions!
@@MrNCotter i was reading in the forums that the advanced launch control wont work properly without the tcu tune, as per 034. so maybe both are required for the flames sadly.
The Advanced Launch Control features are based in the ECU tune of the car (that way it works for manual or DSG or ZF8 equipped cars). That being said, if you are a DSG car, you also need our corresponding TCU tune for the launch control to behave properly.
Charles I mean yeah, if I had a plethora of money, sadly from where I’m from the 3.0T are very scarce and still pricy. I’m going to do a manual Quattro swap into my 2.0A5 because they never came here in manual.
Very similar launch control settings to the ecutek software i used tuning my brz way back when. May consider this if I ever go dual pulley stage 2 + tcu
@@Bytrl We have catalyst safe and test pipe variants for all stages and octanes. The catalyst safe variant is shown at the end of the video. The ignition cut style cannot be used with catalytic converters.

Honest question as I'm not overly familiar with super chargers, but what purpose does creating an engine load do for a supercharged engine? Is this purely for sound? On a turbo this would build boost, does it serve an actual purpose for a supercharger?

We have files specifically for B8s running test pipes (for racing use only) without Audi Drive Select, and it's available on your flasher portal. Vehicles on stock catalysts do not need to flash to this file.
If I am not on test pipes will I need to only use launch control in comfort mode so I don’t blow out my cats? This seems a bit counterintuitive since it would soften the dampers in comfort if that’s the case

I have IE and have also considered switching, but 25% doesn't come close to what you or I would need for it to be worth it. I'm stage 2+ currently and IE also offers a similar fuel-cut/2-step launch feature, don't think its adjustable in the same way but unless you're launching on various terrain it shouldn't matter too much. ALL I'm getting at is that you already paid the big chunk of change, the rest of the stage upgrades are pennies in comparison from stock to stage 1

i am going to be tuning my s4 this weekend . stage 1 test pipe file with adv launch control & crackles. i have the dongle but am purchasing the software this weekend. is it as simple as buying the software and then just plugging the dongle in and tuning?

What about models without dynamic drive select. My B8.5 does not have the ability to switch between comfort and dynamic. How could I enjoy these features you offer ?
Ehfokes Unfortunately at this time it is not possible. We do have a “forced dynamic” map where it keeps the characteristics of dynamic mode at all times.
Have you never engages launch control on your S4/5 before(Try it if not! lol) The whole point is you put your foot to the floor past the kickdown pedal and it holds it at a specific RPM to build boost.
With the advanced launch control is it safe to put it in dynamic with high flow cats? I would assume it’s not safe considering that s4 just shot a nasty flame
I'm assuming for this update I will need to flash the TCU again using the Flashing kit. Also is it worth updating the tune to the cruise control method? I usually use the throttle method.
You will need to reflash the ECU and TCU tunes to the appropriate Advanced LC file. As stated in the video, you will be able to toggle between the cruise control adjustment method, or back to the throttle pedal adjustment method.
Looking to flash the ignition cut with my stock cats, will it blow them out if I’ve got the big res & mufflers off ? Or would I have to gut them out...
The catalytic converters will be destroyed. Using Advanced LC with cats can lead to serious back pressure that can result in engine failure. This feature is for test pipes and racing use only.
It does! You simply do the same procedures for adjusting your RPM’s as shown in the video, clutch in with the right foot all the way down on the gas, then dump the clutch!
What if i have test pipes AND hfc on the edge of donwnpipes? Would it still destroy them since they are far down low?? They are very expensive Gesi hfc on the awe resonated dp!!

It will produce flames out the exhaust on any octane fuel, it does not need to be ethanol. Any map that has the advanced launch control option on a test pipe file will be able to produce these flames.

Man I have S5 2009 convertible, I can not select any drive mode, i just dont have it, and when I disable traction control, floor the brake, floor the gas and it doesnt go, the car is struggling to start u know what the feel is. Is it possible that I dont have a launch control? Its with DCT 7 speed s-tronic gearbox 3.0 tfsi. Also I want my car to sound like this, throw flames go papapapa and stuff. How can I do it?
Early B8s, such as 2009 model cars, did not come with Launch control. It can only be added when flashing a tune. Our ECU and TCU tune will add launch control in these cases so that you can get the most out of your car!
Do you need test pipes for these features to work? I live in California and don’t want to be smog exempt. I’m in love with this tune setup and will definitely be picking it up later this year!
The basic Advanced Launch Control features do not require test-pipes to be used. The adjustable launch control will work regardless of exhaust setup. We do however offer a test-pipe variant with ignition cut. All 034Motorsport Dynamic+ files are for racing use only and are not for use on public roads.

You should not run this with cats as you risk damaging your motor. Even for show, there would be no flames present as you have cats.

The cruise control stalk reverts to normal behavior above 10kmh. For shooting flames, all that is needed is test-pipes.

Is the ignition cut style launch control also safe with high flow 200cpsi cats?

With the advanced launch control is it safe to put it in dynamic with high flow cats? I would assume it’s not safe considering that s4 just shot a nasty flame
With cats still present, you will need to flash our standard file. This will utilize a soft-cut launch control which is safe for cats.
I'm assuming for this update I will need to flash the TCU again using the Flashing kit. Also is it worth updating the tune to the cruise control method? I usually use the throttle method.
You will need to reflash the ECU and TCU tunes to the appropriate Advanced LC file. As stated in the video, you will be able to toggle between the cruise control adjustment method, or back to the throttle pedal adjustment method.
So if I don’t have tcu I can’t use advanced launch control and if I only have the ecu tune I can only do the 3 foot pedal position launch?
You are able to use ALC with a manual, just you would press in the clutch instead.
Just S4/S5? What about SQ5/Q5 with 3.0T?
We are working on adding it to the 3.0T paired to ZF8 transmissions. It requires more calibration work at this time.
Looking to flash the ignition cut with my stock cats, will it blow them out if I’ve got the big res & mufflers off ? Or would I have to gut them out...
You’ll kill your engine if you do. Test pipes or gutted cats only.
The catalytic converters will be destroyed. Using Advanced LC with cats can lead to serious back pressure that can result in engine failure. This feature is for test pipes and racing use only.

It does! You simply do the same procedures for adjusting your RPM’s as shown in the video, clutch in with the right foot all the way down on the gas, then dump the clutch!

We are using OEM Downpipes on a test pipe setup for this car when in racing configuration.
What if i have test pipes AND hfc on the edge of donwnpipes? Would it still destroy them since they are far down low?? They are very expensive Gesi hfc on the awe resonated dp!!
The ignition cut based variant of Advanced Launch Control is not recommended to be used with catalytic converters. This is for racing use only.

This Advanced Launch Control functionality is the same for DSG and 6MT cars!
What are the requirements besides the advanced launch control tune to get the fire tune? Do you have to be on e40? Or can you be on regular pump fuel?
It will produce flames out the exhaust on any octane fuel, it does not need to be ethanol. Any map that has the advanced launch control option on a test pipe file will be able to produce these flames.

Man I have S5 2009 convertible, I can not select any drive mode, i just dont have it, and when I disable traction control, floor the brake, floor the gas and it doesnt go, the car is struggling to start u know what the feel is. Is it possible that I dont have a launch control? Its with DCT 7 speed s-tronic gearbox 3.0 tfsi. Also I want my car to sound like this, throw flames go papapapa and stuff. How can I do it?
Early B8s, such as 2009 model cars, did not come with Launch control. It can only be added when flashing a tune. Our ECU and TCU tune will add launch control in these cases so that you can get the most out of your car!

Do you need test pipes for these features to work? I live in California and don’t want to be smog exempt. I’m in love with this tune setup and will definitely be picking it up later this year!
The basic Advanced Launch Control features do not require test-pipes to be used. The adjustable launch control will work regardless of exhaust setup. We do however offer a test-pipe variant with ignition cut.
All 034Motorsport Dynamic+ files are for racing use only and are not for use on public roads.
