Your neighbors must rush to there windows or run outside when they see Jason, just to catch the sunshine dancer do his thing. What a precious family! Thank you for the joy we get to have watching your farm thrive due to your hard work and loving care too the entire farm. Blessings 🙏❤️
It might be a good idea to put Moody and Mildred into the cow stanchion or catch or holder or whatever it's called lol. Feed them some yummy food while in there and then release them. After several sessions they'll be more comfortable and happy to go into and relax in it. Then if there is ever an emergency not only will they be more cooperative but they won't associate it with only bad things like medical shots or treatment, hoof trimmings and you may have a harder time getting them into it. I have horses so have learned ways to make life easier.

We have a brother to both MOO and MOODY at our local farm sanctuary here on Whidbey Island. He is 6 and is ENORMOUSLY big. Scampers around like a pup. Amazing.

Brooke you did an awesome job on the barn doors they look so so good finishes them off superbly. Also to do them with the heat your getting couldn’t of been easy. If Moody was a horse, he'd be 17 Hands tall. That's pretty dang TALL! (A hand is 4") Moo is 19 Hands tall. They are both beautiful animals. And, Brooke, the barn doors look great! Love to see Jason dancing, too!

📏 At Tractor Supply in the horse area get a horse measuring tape. You can measure girth for weight & also measure height. For accuracy on height use a level. The tape measures in “hands”, each hand is 4 inches for conversion. These tapes are under $2.00 usually. You want Moody standing square & with his head up. For the weight do not wrap right behind the front legs, measure over spine/shoulder blades to get a more accurate weight. These tapes are used to measure mini’s to draft horses so I’m guessing they could also work for a good estimate on bovine. We use them to get wt. for dosing medications/worming & weight control. Good luck!
Love our little Moo Man. You can tell from the video you took when you first picked him up as to comparing Jason next to Moody's height. Moody has definitely grown a lot since you got him and I'm sure he is NOT done growing. He's just a young fella. Mildred looks so cute watching Jason dance. Like she thought, "What the heck you doin Jason?"...Then Miss Lorretta and her watermelon. She knew what she wanted to do with it. She carried into her little cage area by the pools so she can eat in privacy and then have more water to wash it down with. Amazing to me how animals can figure things out like that.
MooMan is such a sweetheart! Love ‘em all ! The way ya’ll treat them is why they are such pets!

You've just made Lesters day. That's a good thing. As a child when the Carnival came to town, we paid a quarter each to see the worlds largest cow. My Grandmother always loved looking at that cow. Grandmother raised Holstein cattle and sold her milk to Pet Dairy. The first large Holstein I ever saw was on a farm called Sunnydale Farm owned by Eastman Chemical Company. They were trying to raise large Holstein to produce more milk. There was a movie made about this place. Northeast Tennessee.

Good morning Coghill, I hope you have a great day❤. There are weight tapes you wrap around their chest to get an approximate on the weight of them if helps when worming.
Yup! Any equine measuring tape will give you an idea of his height in hands and also his weight. My guess is he’s at least 16.5 hands easy, and he’ll keep growing as he ages. It’s amazing how big they get!

Our son was born in 1976 and was 8mnths old when we put him on my mother's holstein calf. That calf engulfed our son. He would chatter at king Louie. We know how big they grow. Those barn doors sure stick out, mostly their beautiful. Well done brook. Blessing

I remain amazed by how all the 2 and 4 legged babies on Cog Hill have similar personalities to Brooke and Jason. The babies obviously received so much love and kindness they now reflect Brooke and Jason's true personalities. Everyone fits together like a perfectly beautiful puzzle.

Can I just say that Jason and Brook are amazing! Jason with his happiness for life just makes me smile. Wonder if the neighbor up in the brick house thinks Jason may be off his rocker out there dancing over hay, roflmbo... My aunt and uncle had a milk cow operation for years and the milk cows are thinner and taller than meat cows. The male babies are not kept, and the moms do not keep their babies they are removed pretty quick. It's a sad operation. Or at least thats how it was run at my aunt and uncles. Also the kids got up at 3:30 every morning and helped with the cows, got ready for school, went and shortly after getting home they did it all over again. I hated going because I always felt lazy sleeping and watching tv as these kids younger than me worked their butts off, lol. They are all amazing people!
Loretta is much like my son's dog, Lucy. They both like to eat in their dining rooms. Their crate or cage is the dining room and their happy place when it comes to eating. Animals are just like people. We all have our little idiosyncrasies.
Its amazing to me that the animals love Hay Day when they have all that green grass to forage on. There must be a reason. Moo Man is truly a big boy!
I thought the same thing, all that beautiful green grass to eat and yet they run to that hay??? Maybe it's just the delivery and they get to see dad(Jason) shake his booty?

The anjmals at Cog Hill have the best personalities I know. Mildred is ready to share pasture with Mooman. He will have his plate full with this girl. Loretta is an absolute hoot. She and GusBus are a perfect duo. And Jessie is lapdog donkey. Holly literally is in hog heaven now with all her responsibilities with Jason. The boys are growing up fast and will be legends as LGDS AND THE AVIARY IS so special. Each animal and bird are filled with devotion for each other. Toodles from Texas - still 108 at 9:30p😊
If you missed it... it was suggested that Al, up at Lumnah Acres in NH do a Dance Off challenge with you. However, the general consensus was... Al, we love you, you're an awesome guy..
