I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for my geographic ignorance. At the time I recorded this video, I was clumsy in lumping Pakistan into what many Americans think is the 'middle east'. I've since educated myself, learning Pakistan is part of South Asia and the Indian subcontinent. I'm trying every day to learn more about that part of our world. Silly American!

@@MrRahul6464 I wish to congratulate you for considering literally every piece of art, music or literature as a methodology to convert various communities to Islam.
While I cannot blame you, there are various incidents favoring your claim. But irony is not every link or website you visit will give you authentic claims.
Sufi qawali or songs are also one way to connect with divine and inner God, just like any bhajan or shloka sung by saints.
Amir khusro was in the era where mughal tyrants were invading our country.
At that time they didn't need a propaganda to force convert, mere threat of life was enough or at the max luring towards a source of business income was enough to push communities to change their religion.
Don't belive everything which one source tells you. Listen to these songs and decide by yourself, are you getting tempted to convert to other religion? You will get an answer.

Just like Mr peace, I would say to you that it's not your fault. Time is such.
But try to interpret this spiritually, you will get that.

'Chaap' is worn by muslims and 'Tilak' is taken on forehead by hindus. So the chorus roughly translates to, 'You've snatched chap tilak and everything when your eyes met mine. ' And it's not wrong saying 'You've snatched every trace of me' because chap and tilak are symbols of Hindu and muslim religion. But when you're finally awakened and englightened and that one universal soul's eyes meet your eyes there is no turning back. You realise all these religious symbols and rituals and everything are nonsense. And every lyrics which seems like romanticised is actually refers to that one ultimate reality which people call god.

Hey John, that was so generous of you, undoubtedly you're a true & pure soul.. and of course, music needs no language, it carries the divinity & purity with it.. so true music hits the soul really hard..
for your further info, this song *Chhap Tilak* was originally written by Indian Sufi poet, singer, musician and scholar *Hazrat Amir Khusrow* almost 800 years ago in 13th century, when Pakistan was just a part of India, it is always sung in India & Pakistan with the genre of Indian classical music.. and this is not the only creation of Khusrow which is frequently sung in India & Pakistan.. you'll find so many even on RUclips.. and what can we say about these 2 living legends.. they're just out of this world..
    stay blessed..👍🏻

Agree completely, music is totally universal. Also when masters put their whole heart into it and make the piece emote it does touch the soul at a very primal level .
This piece was originally written by Ameer Khusrau (1253-1325) in the late 1200s , as an emotive transcendent tribute to his spiritual master .
And obviously the love he talks about is both human and through that to the spiritual love of the divine .
