That’s pretty lofty to be sure but I’ve always felt their songwriting is pretty amazing. Just another band with a very impressive catalog that most never even knew about. Kinda like XTC.
This song is a masterpiece of pop songwriting. Every aspect is pure gold. One of my all time favorites. I dismissed Del Amitri when I first heard them in the 90s and didn't realize how brilliantly crafted their songs are until later in life.
It is an amazing song, so vibrant and full of life with all its joy and pain. One of the best crafted songs of the last forty years easily and the twist at the end is very clever. Even having heard it many times since 1992 those last few words are so poignant and powerful without fail.
Glad to see they're still making music. Been a fan for 20+ years, love them. Love Currie's unique voice and great songwriting skills. " Driving with the Brakes On" one of my all time favorite songs, ever. That whole album amazing, never get tired of it. This LP also great. 💓
That's Will Lee on bass, he's one of the best session players in America and was in David Letterman's house band... Probably he asked them if he could play the song with them, he sometimes played with the guests
how talented they are, scotish, glasgo people. So talented!
I’ve always thought these guys were second only to the Beatles…an opinion shared by no one else on the planet.
They're up there with the best. Proper good band.

These were such perfect days...

Such a well written song and such a great band!
Just heard this on Irish radio can't believe its 30 years old!
Unbelievable. Better times :>)
Brilliant band.
New song Feelings- CD out in April 2021
Highly gifted band. Love their music.
I might start pronouncing Glasgow as 'Glas-GOW' like Letterman hahaha

Great band from Glassgoe
❤️ Del Amitri!
Absolute classic and a great song that is important in my life. Bless ya.
Very under rated band. Great vocals and always on my play list. Should have had far more success.
Scotland's answer to Counting Crows IMO.
Mix is pants on this
Like your Moma.
3 guitarists ?
there's 5 more and another drummer behind the curtain
too much preening, just play the music guys!
Who’s the guy on keyboards? Why isn’t Justin playing bass? In fact, where’s the rest of the band? What’s with the dancing?!
You mean Paul Schaffer, Letterman's longtime band leader? You're obviously not a fan of David Letterman, otherwise you'd know that.
@@mrwittyone That’s right, I’m not. But thanks for enlightening me.👍

I love the Del boys, but this sounds fucking awful, maybe its just the quality of the video.
Or maybe it's your deaf 4ucking Ears, ese ?
Great band feel sorry for the singer he is a glorified Englishman with a Scottish accent
Or maybe he is Scottish!
Say what??
What do you mean?
Born in Glasgow with a Scottish surname.
Were all British so ..
