i started watching your videos last year, and then decided to become an MA and i graduate in 2 weeks and am already working for a neurosurgeon in their practice! thank you so much for the amazing videos they have helped so much!
Sophia, you can do anything you set your mind to. Don't limit yourself, because in reality you're doing the exact same thing a nurse is doing. i can see you being a nurse.. IVE BEEN WATCHING YOU since you were in school to be a medical assistant. YOU CAN DO IT!
I kinda just started working as an MA and personally I love it. I love to see patients and meeting new people. Like sometimes there are rude patients but that’s just always going to happen. Anyways, I do family medicine and I do about anything but I feel like if I didn’t get to be an MA I would be shy forever and ever. Now I feel more open, I talk more, which is something I couldn’t really do. But just try to study hard for these exams the NHA, AMT, etc. don’t doubt yourself, you can do it! I am currently studying for the CMA for AAMA. Being an MA in my experience is good but there is days that gets really busy because you do literally everything. I feel like MA’s should get more recognized and get paid higher. I am thinking of going to college soon again. But good luck to everybody🍀
the best nurses on earth hated nursing school and barely passsed but did i start lpn school in October if i love it i will go further for my RN....Good luck on your journey you look like youll be a great nurse one day.
Hi. You don't have to be super smart for nursing school. I struggle in school as well but I'm doing just fine in LPN school. If you are thinking about it go for it
describing that girl that passed out sounds like myself, every time i get my blood drawn i get sooo lightheaded, nauseous, and throw up 😭 it sucks so much
Wait do you do the externship after the exam or before? I’m confused because you said you were hired on during you externship. Can you explain that in more detail please.
I'm taking the CMA program online right now , but I feel I'm not studying anything or understanding some things , Do you recommend a textbook or something to remember the things? I'm also scared of the Final exam 😏
I totally recommend going to the exam companies website so I got my certification through AMCA and they had a lot of tips online, like study guides and I also used Quizlet. lookup the exam you're taking and you should find some study guides. I also make Medical assistant videos, let me know if you have any questions.
When I went through school this past year there was 3 in my class and now that I’m working I see SO MANY...I’m in California and male MA’s are in high demand.
Your Video inspired me so much. I’m a MA student, I’m pretty nerves about doing my CCMA exam and Externship!, but excited on finishing in March . I love ur videos . Can’t wait to do Some Hands out in the real world..
Hey Lara, I am currently studying for my CCBMA exam, let me know if you want some info on the books that I am using etc. I finished my program back in 2017, and worked as a MA in the pediatrics department for 2 years. I am currently back in school to become a RN!
I just finished MA school with a 4.0 GPA. The test wasn’t hard but I’m struggling with the certification exam I have to take Friday. A lot of the questions we didn’t touch on that’s on the certification exam.
it definitely depends on the job! some ma's do more clinical work but at my job I am doing a-lot more of administrative work! so it all just depends on what the practice wants, but you get training for both!!
Thanks for making this, I'm in MA school now and I'll be done in April. I can't wait to be done! It's hard doing everything during the pandemic! I don't know what department I'll want to work in though haha
I'm taking my NHA exam in 2 days and i'm super nervous! Also very nervous to look for an MA position job bc I was not able to do my externship due to COVID :/
Thanks for this video... I just graduated with my associates degree in MAA (Medical Administrative Assistant) in August. I am having a hard time finding a Medical Assistant job because they require you to have atleast 1 or 2 years in a office medical setting or have clinical experience. That's the thing I don't like so much because I only have administrative experience in a way. I need more hands on experience with everything to understand it. It seems like nobody wants to train you they just want you to have the experience already well atleast the basics. Do you think I need to go back to school to do clinicals? Since i only have a little bit of knowledge in administrative. If so any recommendations for getting Clinical experience?
Reach out to your school and see if any of the clinical sites would let you do some volunteering so you can get more hands on. As far as administrative training goes many places are willing to train you, most places have different ways of doing things. Look into being like a unit secretary or even a front desk worker while you are getting more hands-on training. Hope that helps some, I also make Medical assistant videos, let me know if you have any questions.
@Khaylor Griffin, I did both Clinical and Administrative. For my understanding in Administrative you can only work as front desk, you'll need to take a MA clinical course in order to get a job as a MA if you want to be taking patient's vitals, rooming, etc.. You will also need to complete a clinical externship of 160hrs.
Ok kind of a weird question but here it goes. Does having to learn so much about health and diseases ever make you anxious? I feel like so much info would make me think something is wrong with me 😩
Is there anything you do like? You don't like charting, don't like wound care, don't like shots, changing table paper. Sounds like you don't like being a MA. Sorry not trying to be critical , you just don't sound like you enjoy your job .
i started watching your videos last year, and then decided to become an MA and i graduate in 2 weeks and am already working for a neurosurgeon in their practice! thank you so much for the amazing videos they have helped so much!
Aw that makes me so happy!! That’s so exciting! Good for you girl!!

Aw thank you!!! You’re so sweet!!
So I’m actually going to school for a MA, you seem so confident I love it! Your videos are amazing! 💓
Aw thank you so much!! Good luck to you!!🥰
Love your videos! I’m a CMA in family practice and there is never a dull moment(: I also thought about working in geriatrics as well!
Thank you!! I bet family practice is always hectic!!!
Love your videos and channel!!! I am a MA student about to start clinicals. I’m so nervous but your videos motivate me. Keep me coming
Aw thank you!! Good luck to you!!
I related to you so much when you answered the first question.

You don’t like a lot of MA stuff, why did you go to school for it then?

I don’t want to speak for her but if you do well during your externship, sometimes they hire you!

Your awesome and you inspired me to go to school for medical assisting so thank you
I’m a guy and I wanted to know if there are a lot of males in this field because I fell like this is mainly a female field.
When I went through school this past year there was 3 in my class and now that I’m working I see SO MANY...I’m in California and male MA’s are in high demand.
Not a whole lot of males, but definitely a need for them!!
when they first hired you was it kind of around where you are money wise now or did you start a little lower?
Yay you answered my question! :) feeling cool right now 😎
Thanks for asking a question!💕

Good luck to you!!!☺️
Do you think becoming a medical assistant would be a good job to do before becoming a licensed practical nurse(LPN)
Yes, great experience! But if you know you wanna be a LPN for sure just go for that right away!!
I would like ask you; what are the correct steps 🚶♂️ to apply for CMA exams?
im choosing between MA and dental assistant and i feel like MA is so much harder...
Girl same here it's such a hard decision for me to make!
@@LoveBreakingdawn1 YESSS lmk which u choose !!
@@Ariana-ye9hu a lil update I ended up choosing MA!
I start either in june or August
@@LoveBreakingdawn1 Nice!
I'm an MA as well. My office isn't geriatric , we do see a lot of elderly patients. They are great 🙂
Off topic but if your doggo a shih tzu?

How was your externship site selected? Was it chosen for you? Thanks in advance. Love your videos!
At my school we wrote down our top 3 & our instructor tried to get us in to one of them!
This isn’t related to MA but can you do a video talking about your hair? Like how you keep it healthy, growing it out long/keeping it long.
Ooh yes I could do that!! Thanks for the idea!! 😊
How many times can you take the test???
I believe 3 times in one year!
Love your dog!!!
How is the pay for a MA
Decent! Just google the avg salary of a MA in your state!
