Congrats girl!! Isn’t it such a good feeling to see the word PASS?! I was so scared the day I took my exam, and it was a huge sigh of relief on the end screen when it said PASS! If any of you are thinking about taking the CMA (AAMA) or even RMA (AMT), I have a playlist on my channel with a bunch of videos on the difference between the two, how to study, etc!
Yeah it feels good to finally have that weight lifted off my shoulder!
Hi ladies I have a question does this test require a lot of math ? I start my classes next month and I’m super nervous I’m not good at math at all ! And I’m not even sure how much math ? This program requires? It would be super helpful for me hope someone can answer ❤️❤️
@@lupitaalcaraz9310 I believe I only had a few math related questions in regards to unit conversions, but I know that everyone's test is different! I suggest knowing basic unit conversions and basic dosage calculation equations!
Will do ! thank you so much for replying I appreciate it 💕

Hi Sophia, I am prepared myself to take the cma exam on July 27th. What's website did you buy on the practice exam?
CONGRATS ON PASSING SOPHIA
Girl I have my RMA exam in 13 days and I’m so nervous 😭😭 I’ve been taking different types of practice tests and I barely pass them. I was told that practice tests are actually easier than the actual test but I’m not sure! What’s your opinion?
And?
Did u pass?😬
Summer K yes I did ❤︎
@@Erin_USA congratulations!! What exact test was it? Was it the AAMA, CMA, what's the difference?
I took the CCMA exam 2 days ago and I started crying when I got to question 160. I literally had a mental break down because I was so nervous and over it. In the end, I passed with a 410 (passing score 390). I was so happy😭! There was a girl in the class that kept throwing up because of how nervous she was. I felt so bad 😩, they told her if she left the class, her test would be invalid and she would have to re take it.
How did you know what to study for? Or what advice would you give me to really study on?
Summer K I purchased the study material from the nha website. It was $78, I took all 15 quizzes and went through the lessons for a week straight. I also did the practice exam that it came with.
@@nickaleapedley8998 nice!!! Will that book also help me with the AAMA exam though? Or is it specifically for only CCMA...
Summer K The one I purchased was specified for CCMA.
I gotta 385 I’m fucking sick
After a lot of videos they said the important things to study are EKG, Phlebotomy (Order of draw) & patient care.
CMA test is really frustrating, i can't believe i failed again after study so hard
Wow, that's not fair.
I'm really sorry about that but i got used to it until i succeeded, i failed 2 time before i finally passed, it would have been 3 but Mr James saved me from failing again
I was lucky to meet Mr James William only without him God knows i wouldn't have succeeded
I've heard a lot of good stories about this same man all over RUclips channels can he really help
it's my first time I'm scared, i don't wanna fail
I couldn’t relate more to you. I took the CCMA from NHA as well, and my only study guide was quizlet. I studied one day before (at night). And when I was taking the exam, I was not sure about the answer of several questions (mostly ethics and administrative part). So I was like, s**t I’m going to fail it because I did not study enough, but I passed 😂 Now I just have to figure out how to renew my certification in two years.
Haha too funny!! Studying is just not for me 😩
Jorge S. Congratulations! I take my CCMA exam Friday. I’m so nervous!
Olivia Florence I wish you good luck! 😊
You do like 10 credits of CE like after a year of passing, and renew the cert(s) before the expiration date(s).
Thanks!
Hi, I'm located in Milwaukee as well and I work in OB/GYN. I love it. I used quizlet to study with as well.
How cool! My sister went to college in MKE!
Can you make a video of topics that were covered on the CCMA test?
Your not allowed too
You can look it up on Google and it'll tell you the topics. You're allowed to mention topics covered you're just not allowed to give out specific question and answers.
Wow this video really helped me! Thank you for your story it definitely helps others that are also feeling what you felt and went through. I am currently in MA program it’s not easy but I’m trying 😀 you motivated me more!! Thank you so much my dear ❤️
I know I’m super late. I’m currently in cma school and feel a bit overwhelmed. My end goal is to an aesthetic nurse so I know I’ll definitely be continuing after this. Thank you for sharing your experience, and you are not dumb. What we feed our mind influences our reality. I don’t know you personally obvi but I believe that you can accomplish anything you choose to.
I am an instructor for CCMA and since Covid19 we have gone from the classroom being face2face to now being online. This happened 1 month before the scheduled exam. We are trying to move the exam to Mid May. Some of the students are having difficulty with this change. What advice would you give to these students to prepare more for the exam since we are not face2face. I have zoom meetings twice weekly of which I am increasing that to 4 times a week.
Hi Deb! My best advice for your students is to purchase the study guide through the organization they are taking the exam! I made flash cards on paper (they could also do electronic flash cards) and drilled the questions in my brain! I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of “kahoot” but it’s an online quiz/study activity you could make and share with your students! Hope this helps! Good luck to them all :)
Hi! I’ve been studying like crazy and have the exam coming up in a few days. I’m wondering if practice test questions and quizzes are similar to those found on the actual tests? What conversions should I focus on/do they allow a calculator? My anxiety could use a break 😅
How Did You Do On The Exam? I Have Mine Coming Up And I Am So Nervous.
I am currently in school for MA. I have been watching all your videos on the playlist. Due to COVID-19 it has been very difficult for me to even learn these subjects. We will be getting back to class on May 13th which I am so excited for. As the time for externships and the exam get closer I get even more nervous and keep doubting myself because I have difficulty even obtaining information no matter how hard I study. So knowing I get multiple tries on the exam is a relief. Love your videos! And many congrats on becoming certified!! :)
Get the momentix secrets of ccma and you good
I’m taking the test tomorrow & graduated 10 years ago!!! Jesus take the wheel! Lol!
Hahah!🤣 good luck!!! You totally got this
@@SOPHIADANIELLE Thanks girl! I got a 421!!!
I am planning on taking the exam soon, I just bought the NHA study guide. I have been putting it off for so long because I felt discouraged and just not ready. I am ready to be certified already! I will bring you update if I passed or not. Aghh this is so nerve wrecking!!
Did u pass?
Wow you sound a lot like me with the whole school thing but am SUPER nervous cause I graduated back in 2015 and always been super scared to take the exam cause I heard how hard it is now it’s 2022🤦♀️ am I’m thinking about actually putting my mind to taking it😩 Hopefully I’m making the right decision
I'm a registered medical assistant. It's the same thing as being certified. You still have to sit for the exam and pass in order to be a registered medical assistant.
What's the difference then?
Registered means you can work in any state. Certified you mostly can only work in the state you were certified in.
I’m a NRCMA (Nationally registered certified medical assistant) means I can work anywhere in the entire world ❤️
@@Thedopemama I looked this up and it says it's the same. Both are national it just depends on who you took your test through
@@Thedopemama I am a ccma certified clinician medical assistant
@@Thedopemama where can I take the NCRMA?
I’m a CCMA..but I would love to be able to work anywhere!
I went through the NHA also but with a community college. And they had us use two different books. Which neither one of those is the one you linked. Which I find very interesting! I guess every schooling is different. But we used the NHA study guide. And today's medical assistant by Kathy bonewit. The book is really expensive though. I was surprised when I passed my test on the first try! I was so nervous and I felt like everything we learned was not on the test. It was so nerve-racking! I was so happy to have passed. Whenever I was doing my clinicals one of the registered nurse there told me that she's been in the medical field for over 30 years and she took the test for different times before she passed it! She says it's very different from what you actually do on the job.
Now that I actually work in the medical field I have to agree. everything we learned was great but it's actually really different in the field. I work in urgent care! And I love being a clinical medical assistant!
Also!! I'm dyslexic too! And I was so terrified to start school. I never went to college because I'm not great at learning or studying. I need special tutoring to learn what can be stressful. I was so terrified of failing but I passed and it's made me so proud. But even now I still struggle with my dyslexia and being terrified of not being good enough.
Do you remember any questions that was stated on the AAMA exam? I am in the middle of studying for the second time, and I will like to know what other study guides you have used?
Does anybody here in the comments know if a CCMA by NHA is accredited in the state of WA? Meaning can iI qualify for jobs
I stay in the state of Wa !! In vancouver to be exact ! I was also wondering the same as well ! I check with the department of health and this NHA is acceptable!! However after you past the test u need to have them email the department of health of washington confirming you pass and applied for your license and registration trough washington. I hope that helps !!
Does anyone know if the study guide and practice tests for the NHA are very similar to the actual exam? I am taking mine June 4 and I have been using it non stop but I have a lingering feeling that the NHA exam is way harder than the practice tests D: !!
Did you ever find out ? I’m thinking of buying it
Francheska Castrillo hey! Yeah the study guide had very similar questions!
Last year I took it and failed by 1 point 😭
Awwww😲😟☹
Same
I take mines tomorrow again I hope I pass this time 😩 I was 9 points away last time
Did you pass the 2nd time?
Hey, I'm from India but i want to settle in another country (finland) and become a cma..hows that possible..should i do cma india or what? someone please guide me 🥲..this is important
Oh and also congrats on passing the CMA exam!!!
Been out of school 2 years i failed it the first time in 2018 worked as an MA for a year but getting certified is luming over my head I'm terrified the thought of studying gives me anxiety but I passed my classes with flying colors watching these videos have given me confidence to pick up my book and start studying again this time sticking to it..I'm doing security at night now I hate it just got a job offer to be a Travel Medical Tech and I'm so excited but I know it'll be more rewarding to take my CMA exam
I know how you feel girl!! You got this though, don't give up! It'll be so worth it once you pass!
Thank you for your advice I was feeling shit and crying all day and decided not to go to medical field again 🥺
Don’t let your dreams go…
You have no idea how much I relate to you !! I’m new to ur channel I’m literally watching all ur videos !! Lol 💕
Aw I love to hear that! Thank you so much
Thank you so much for this video!! i graduated in 2017 and i been so scared to actual take the test. You motivated me so much! also i know you cant say to much about the test but did you have alot of pharmacology questions?
I’m so glad I could help motivate you!! You totally got this!! & I don’t recall any pharm questions besides converting from lbs to kg!
I took it twice two years ago I take it my last time Saturday I’m nervous because I failed by two points twice
I hope you did great!!
My opinion is just keep studying and keep taking it till you pass! Sometimes it takes time!
I just failed my CMA exam again the 2nd time. I only have one more attempt left. I have a learning disability which includes me having trouble with comprehension, so I feel stuck and lost. I'm trying to find a way to past once and for all. Im not happy but at least i know others went through this, and I have a fighting chance. I might takw about 2-4 months to study again
So I’m a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT-B) and a State Security Officer. I did my NREMT in 5 weeks I’m the Army which is crazy but now I’m taking a break from security and going to be a CCMA for a donation center and I leave in two weeks. I feel comfortable with a lot of it except EKG. Any advice?
How was the pharmacology section in the test? I am taking mine on May 29th and I am only worried about the Pharmacology part. Any tips or suggestions? Thank you.
Congratulations!!! I started last week and the CCMA course duration is 4 months with an externship. Upon competition we get certified for CCMA, EKG, PCT, and Phlebotomy. Super super scary and it's major information overload! However our teacher is phenomenal and we already began Labs.
How cool!! Good luck to you! 😊

It’s ok!! I failed twice, you’ll pass!!
I look back at this video for encouragement i really have a low self confidence issue thinking I'm always the worst and the dumbest which makes me study for long sessions for 3 to 5 hrs a day and i feel that isnt enough ah im just scared i want to be a good ma also i know im still learning in school haven't even touch labs yet maybe im overdoing myself but thank you for these videos it so helpful
Don’t be too hard on yourself!!!
Thank you for sharing your story. You actually encouraged me to go get my exam over and done with. I feel dread, but I’m hopeful.
I'm so glad! You got it!
I never took my test because the school laptop they gave me wasn’t compatible with taking the test 🤦🏼♀️now I’m stuck trying to get a laptop to take the test.
This was a helpful video! I start MA classes at the end of the month. It’s a night class course. I’m a mom of 5 and can’t take day time classes right now. It’s only 30 classes (101.5 hours) so it’s much shorter than most. Nervous and hopeful that it prepares me enough!
Our class will prepare us to take the NHA exam. Yours is the first video that I’ve heard talk about that exam and not just the AAMA.
My school only ever talked about the AAMA I had to do my own research to find the NHA! I think it’s because a lot of schools are funded by the AAMA! Good luck with everything :)
Hi quick question. I took nursing class all 4 years but I have never went to a school for it or taken a program. But I was wondering if I can randomly take the CCMA NHA exam and get a certification without going to school if that makes sense ????
Please I really need to know

I believe she means classes or seminars for CMAS. Certificated Public Accountants (CPAs) are required to do something similar where they take a certain classes or seminars in the accounting field. It's to make sure they are up to date with current laws and practices. 😁
I’m seriously thinking about buying the study guide. It looks like something that can really help me

I fail the CMA exam the first time around. The second time I pass and went back for my RMA as well.
The exam is so hard!!
Is the fist and second exam similarl?
AMY LUU yes it is similar but when you take the test a second time it’s going to be different questions more focusing on another subject. For example if the first test was mostly asking you about clinical questions then the second test may ask you more about the Administrative questions. But they would ask you few questions regarding clinical.
