It was not a only a game but a masterpiece. was beautifully written and you could actually have empathy with all characters. alone in a modern society, looking for a lost love...sometimes in a haunted nightmare!
Winterson's death really hit me. She was caught up in her love for Vlad who was taking the burden off of raising her blind kid by herself and couldn't choose between being a double agent or being a cop
They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark to everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger. And then it was all over. The storm seemed to lose its frenzy. The ragged clouds gave way to the stars above.
You know what bothers me. Mona Sax appears out of nowhere, Max falls in love with her and she controls him like every move, for no reason. It can only be a dream. Maybe he was stuck on Valkyrie or the Bullet in his head literraly left him hanging in the state of dead
Maybe Max felt the need of filling the gap his wife left in him. He didn't even know it, all he knew that he doesn't feel good. And he wanted that. He wanted a licence to kill, kill every bad man preventing him from getting a peaceful life. But he can't, because his struggle and pain exists in the past. The past is a gaping hole. That's the real tragedy of Max Payne.

I was 10 years old back then when i first started to play the first part of this epic story. I was feeling scared when playing alone in my dark room, but i felt each scene happened in the whole story especially the deep VO of Max. Thanks Rock Star Games.
Well thanks to remedy because they made these 2 masterpiece Rockstar only published it & i think it was remedy who came up with MAX PAYNE same goes to today that remedy frontely approached for MAX PAYNE 1&2 REMAKES & Rockstar agreed which we have something to refresh our memories.
Remedy made 1 and 2, gathering of devs published the 1st for them. Then remedy was forced to sell the ip to rockstar for financial difficulties. So r* publshed the 2nd for them. Then r* made the 3rd. The voice actor has been same for all 3 games, superb delivery and voice of James Mccaffrey

The theme from the first game was good, and original. But this version just totally NAILS the whole "Max Payne story/synopsis/character", for me. This was the comment I posted on another "Max Payne 2 theme" video (6 yrs ago). As I was typing, I was applying it to my own life. I think everything in my life up to this point, symbolizes everything that Max feels throughout the 3 games. Only, I haven't quite really lost anyone through murder.. But the fact that nothing has EVER gone right. The emotional balance is so extraordinarily uneven, in the worst possible way. So, yeah.. I can totally feel Max's pain and the sorrow and depression this song emulates and how low it can make you feel inside. "Life had been good. The sun setting on a warm, summer's day. The smell of freshly mowed grass, the sounds of children playing. A house across the road in a small town. A happy & peaceful vision come true. Closing your eyes only forces you to look at the darkness inside. A bomb went off in my head. The bullet lodged in my brain moved a fatal, microscopic distance, wishing it would just put me out of my misery."
