- This Manson sold not too long ago for $40 million + taxes ect.
Lukiemc new to youtube and will be here for a while i will be bringing out a new video once a week.
Please ask me anything.
The house has been vacant for sometime due to fire damage.
In recent times there has been a leak develop inside the property so now has sustained heavy water damage what was still leaking on my first visit but now has been turned off.
I always feel sad watching these explorations of abandoned places, makes me wonder about the history of the place and who once lived there. This was a grand mansion at one time and someone/some family was proud to own it and enjoy all its spaces. Sad to see it lay in ruins.
I agree. The new owners I’m guessing the fire happened in the back and now they just don’t care. Seems like they just want to knock it down. Some people just have to much money.
@@LukieMc Yes some people do have too much money! Too bad they don't use it for the good of others instead of for huge mansions to glorify themselves.
Agreed.
@@GerynSloane What exactly is "too much money?", just curious.
@@MoellerEngineeringCo. for me it just reminds me how temporary this life is...
Wow just loveeeee that master closet...that was the best feature of the house.
To bad it was damaged. What a beautiful house. I love all the doors that open to the outside and all the patios.
It looks like it was empty for a long time.
And sadly when they look empty the vandals come.
That fridge is close to 180,000$. That solid wooden oak closet room, that’s probably 250,000-300,000$. The lot alone this house is On is easily 7+ acres. Overall, when this house was built, I’m sure it was worth every penny of that $40 million. People don’t understand the amount of time and money goes into carving wood, let alone oak, let alone for a closet. All these toilets and fire places, all need proper ventilation or plumping, which, requires money. Great find, great channel. Glad I stumbled across you!
I guarantee if this house was fixed up to current market standards, this house would sit around $60-$80 million.
Thanks for watching and understanding the value of it.
Who the fuck would spend that much on a fridge!? 😱
Where is this?
Cheryl Deaton Toorak, Melbourne, Australia
The person who paid $40 million for that place got ripped off.
Maybe 4 million not 40 million 4 million is still too high
I think that is a high price, too. It is not exactly in pristine condition. I realize location is important but...
Must be in a highly sought out location for it to be in the millions period
This place is a dump!
It was probably very nice before it got vandalised
I'm sure it was beautiful when it was new. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching 😊
It was new in the 1920's, would have been beautiful just a few years ago still!
Just disgusting what pigs will do with tagging and vandalizing a place.
I agree I hate it but it happens so quick. I was here a week before this and it was clean.
I'm addicted to your videos. I've noticed some nasty comments about you trespassing. Not sure why people are watching if they have issues with it. As for the price. Only people that can't believe the price are people who haven't experienced Melbournes property boom
Yes exactly and thanks. Hope to see you future comments.
Omg what an ABSOLUTELY gorgeous house! What a waste, makes me so sad to see it that way
Waooo. Big big mansion. Beautiful house. To much time walking inside the house..and...next..room and next room.waoooo
The last room was gorgeous, the wood work just beautiful.
It sure was a great spot.
I seen some homes like that when I was driving by Bel-Air here in Los Angeles. Those people are living some luxurious lives.
Abandon???? Who is keeping the hedge row cut??? Ghost Gardeners?
Obviously someone is keeping the gardens somewhat clean. This property sits on a VERY wealthy street and in one of the most expensive suburbs of melbourne
Debra Hall lol exactly ! someone paying for that pool fencing too ...
That was the first thing I saw too. I'm guessing someone bought the place and they're getting ready to start renovating it....that's why the fence around the pool and stuff.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👩💻
So what happened to this house? Looks fairly maintained but on other areas it looks neglected.
That was awesome. Thanks for walking us through the mansion. Love ya !! Keep the video's coming.
Thanks. I’ll try my best thanks for the positive feedback.
Not abandoned! Just not lived in. Someone is trimming all those headges..and looks like it's being worked on in places..
It’s abandoned. I have been watching this place for the last 6 months.
Carolyn Simmons exactly what I was thinking
Carolyn Simmons the owners don’t even live in Australia.
Ok.. They must pay someone to keep the grounds..
Owners not living in Australia doesn't mean it's abandoned ! the fencing around the pool cost money to rent every 3 mths so someone looking after it SIR !!!!!!!
When "Pops" Mercotan bought our farm property (adjacent to our main property) from a cousin, it came with the original farmhouse, which was over 125 years old at the time, and it hadn't been lived in for at least a decade.
That's because it was old, badly wired, poorly plumbed, with an ancient furnace, iffy septic system, and a lot of rot. The previous landlord didn't want to fix the place, and noone would pay money to live in it anymore.
Pops contemplated donating the place to the local fire department, for them to burn down and practice on. But a neighbor's son wanted to live there, and promised to 'fix it up'.
He was the first of many tenants over the last 30 years who's upgraded the place. Early tenants paid no rent at all, as long as they worked to improve things. Later ones paid rent, but could deduct the cost of equipment for improvements from the rent.
Now we've got a halfway decent 150 year old farmhouse. Septic's still a little iffy, tho.😉
Smart
I saw this two years ago with a different exploration crew and the damage that's been done sense is sickening. It's hard to watch.
It’s heaps worse now. It’s completely destroyed now. Graf everywhere and vandalism.
I LOVE the clean traditional lines of this property. The shrubs have been recently trimmed, within the past month.
PS I encourage anyone purchasing these mansions to conduct a spiritual cleansing before beginning the work and moving in.
Beautiful mansion almost all painted white with lotsa Windows. Impressive.
It’s got it’s good and bad bits.
GO BACK AND LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN SO THAT BIRDS THAT GO IN CAN HAVE A WAY OUT AND DON'T DIE ANYMORE. 🕊🕊🕊
That's what I was thinking 😏
I know that part drove me nuts to. Some of these filers are really dumb.
No close them, lock them.
Thought the same thing :( leave door open
@@lisag6918 is to bad about the fuckers that spray paint all over everything they should be shot with a ball of there own shit some people have no respect
A wonderful mansion with pool and big garden ! Perfectly equipped in the rooms, the kitchens, the bathrooms. A dream ! A lot of fire and water damages. What a pity ! Problem with the insurance ???
I take back my under valuation.
All those 2pack cupboards etc.. Definite quality.. And those oak robes and dressing room omg!! Sooo sad.. I certainly hope someone makes this place a home again! 😢😢❤️❤️❤️
Haha. All good.
That's a huge electrical home system, so many lights, pumps etc
Someone is maintaining the grounds. It is assumed the home sits on acres of land. House is not worth 40 milli, but lovely all the same.
That house is beautiful, I hope someone fixes it up!!, great video!!!
Let’s hope so but I doubt it. 🙁
Lukie_mc’s Unknown. So expensive to repair it.
Been around much? Beautifully cheap!
@LB Agreed..it does look cheaply built 😒
That was a lovely place once a point in time. People destroy. Everything. They put their hands on just 😥
It was thanks.
The bedroom in the second floor had a “small” bathroom compared with the others, what’s the point of having a huge house if you have a small bathroom 🙄 seriously the shower of my tiny studio is bigger than that one ☝🏼great video!
Thanks
wow. i love the master closet. beautiful wood
Isn’t it. I reckon it would be worth more than my whole house.
Gracias por el video.💎💎💎
I hope somebody brings that house back to life because it is really awesome.
Sadly I think it’s too far gone and they want it gone.
Australia won't let you have a garbage disposal but you could have a window that opens from the bottom up on the floor level that a child could tumble out of???.... yeah that makes sense LOL
This house is from the 1920’s
There isn't anything on line that states that sink disposal units are not allowed in Australia. However it may depend upon where you live, each Council may differ.
Mass Lass, I live in Australia and I’ve never seen a window that opens from the floor upwards before either. So it’s obviously not common practice (or legal). Hahahaha
Those windows are called 'double hung' windows. They open both from the top down and bottom up. They are very common. We have them in our house which is only 4 years old. You can have a garbage disposal here in Australia its called an insinkerator.
Mass Lass America cries every time there’s a school shooting but anyone can get their hands on one??? Makes sense
everyone says it's not worth 40mio but if you look at the number of rooms and the big garden plus pool and the garden in front of the house- the plot of land is huge and that costs! not to forget the staffs house and god that fridge must have cost a lot !! if you can buy a place like that in cheaper do it, nobody forced them to pay that millions but they thought it was worth it and I think so, too
Correct and its in a high ralue area as well. Plus international investors will pay anything for land too
Jag Girl jealous?
Can you imagine the yearly taxes on this property💰💰💰
Damn Chinese are buying up Australia at any cost.. Scary
@@jonathanalexander7036 no I'd rather it owned by an Australian with no ulterior motives.
Remodel the Mansion. And Sale it. Is still in good condition. Is a Beautiful home make it Beautiful again.
Wow this makes my heart sad, such a beautiful house 😍😔
Honestly it slowly looks like someone is renovating it. Then locking the doors of some of the “updated” areas. Seems possibly they ran out of money on the house updates and fixes OR ran into issues that the house is in such bad condition they cannotnafford to fix it. Nice video though
They have heaps of money it’s owned by overseas investors that don’t care.
Amazingly beautiful mansion,,,,,
Was.
Don't know how you figure 40mill??..sad..people have more money than sense.. Im surprised there aren't squatters!! I'd love those gates and the pots!!!!
I expected crystal chandeliers...gold faucets..amazing how someone is keeping the gardens though
I commented bef9re wa5ching the WHOLE thing lol
I WONDER if the owners tried to sell it..but for more than anyone would pay. And out of spite said.lm not going to give it away!! And here it is. I would love this history of it
It was only brought back in 2015 and brought by Chinese investors. 🙁
Lukie_mc’s Unknown. We seriously need to stop overseas investors buying up our properties, land and companies here in Australia. It makes me 🤬
@@rachelcookson3492 So you reakon this was just bought as a money laundering type investment?
Big, but very plain. And white. Cheap fixtures and little design.
It was a little that way. I wouldn’t buy it.
I think they made up the price
They made it big and that's about it!
Yeah and those particle board white cheap ass cabinets.
Elisha Braun Yea I noticed also guess the wife had the luxury of living there but it’s obvious it was the husbands wealth that supplied the beautiful home...did you see his beautiful closet area with real wood and cedar to protect his suits and clothing 🤣
Why do people just destroy these homes. I get they want a place to sleep but they destroy every thing. Is sad. Terri
I agree. The way this place has been left they obviously want it to get knocked down. Insurance job!!!
I'd imagine taxes just eat into a person wallet or bank account. When the bank or mortgage company calls in their note for non payment, most abandon and don't care what happens to the property. The rich and the famous got out with, "They're poor and their Broke." When no one buys the property for the price against it and they find out about how high the taxes are, no one is in the Market for the property. It sits and decays from lack of upkeep.
this home was actually destroyed by hot coals being placed in a wheelie bin by a cleaner on the back side of the house thats why half the ass end is burnt it a crisp. the house was not sold or written off on insurance, it was privately sold as is by the owners (ex director of Mirvac real estate group) to someone in hongkong for the 40 million. blows my mind that anyone would pay that much for a water damaged fire damaged rats nest. also looks like strippers are going in and stealing copper and fixtures from the place.
Larry Pierce h
You could build a brand new home for the homeless & within time it’ll be trashed 🤷🏼♀️
Wow... That's a very nice & huge home
It is it’s sad that it’s been left ABANDONED
Garbage disposals are illegal in Australia???? So strange! Those fridges though!!😍😍😍
those closets are beautiful
Just amazing.
I wonder lot of places mansions, houses abandoned i can't stop thinking what really happened? 😔😔😔
What a beautiful house I counted seven bathrooms I think every room has a bathroom what a shame what a beautiful beautiful house and that big closet you fam. I think that was cedar closet
Was very nice.
If I had all the money in the world I would buy it
Why do people love to destroy other peoples property with graffiti ?
Sad people are so destructive and probably proud to be stupid. Beautiful home left to rot. Could have least closed windows and door against the weather. I don't understand the mentality
behind just leaving an awesome home like this.
Can you imagine the staff it takes to maintain this home. God !
Yes it really does suck. And I didn’t shut doors as the locks where missing.
This place is gorgeous.
It was....
I just don't know how they left these houses go to such beautiful homes
Most of these places were abandoned because of mold spores. The cost of tearing them down and disposal of the contaminated material is so high, they leave them sit, and collect the loss.
Yeah I’d almost agree with ya. The burnt part happened first tho. Then the water damage at the front was second.
Well it certainly doesn't look like a 40 million dollar home to me wow hard to believe but I'm sure you're correct. Lights camera action
Thanks.
That's just a shame that would've been a good house for some homeless people if it hadn't been vandalised and had water damage
It would of been a good house for me. I wouldn’t complain.
Grass has been cut, hedges have been trimmed, power is still on. Surly this property isn’t totally abandoned.I would love to renovate this home. Is the 40 mill before or now condition?
Now the person bought it and he paid 40 million for this house. He is waiting for the reconstruction in front of the house and the back out the house has to be demolished because of the fire that happened. In total it will cost 70 million.
genevablan
Wow that fridge area was 100,000 alone probably. It looks like they took the knobs off the doors to keep people out of certain areas. I would say that place had 2 in-law suites to it. A lot of little areas and small kitchens with there own bathrooms screams in-laws.
OR someone came in and stole the door handles. lol. If they were replaced with the solid piece then its to keep you out.
lol having the safe right by the front door. easy in, easy out.
Haha I thought the Same thing. And I believe the door handles where stolen as they disappeared in the space of a week.
Enjoyed the video, what a cool house to explore!
For such an expensive home it sure doesn't have anything desirable inside the home
I agree. And to your other comment yes way too many windows. I’d hate cleaning them. But then if you had a place like that you’d pay someone to clean them. 😂
@@LukieMc Exactly!!!! If I'm gonna spend that much money might as well go the rest of the way
I'm watching all your vids so interesting and cool accent!
Haha thanks
A nice quaint little cottage. It would make a nice starter home for some young family.
Starter home. Wow. Half my street could live in it.
These ground are very well taking care off
Makes me sort of mad that these wealthy people just abandon these wealthy places
Why couldn't they donate it to some one or charity to use and fix up for people who need housing
Seem wealthy only care for themselves got so much money to waste
Very detailed video
looks like the mansion in the video for Oasis's "Dont look back in anger"........
Oh right.
Dean Cooling )
I LOVE ALL THE BATHROOMS!!!!! MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ROOM IN A HOUSE!!!
I'm just surprised how small the bedrooms are upstairs, and it's strange with all the random toilets surrounding the house, that there only 3 bedrooms with en-suites.... well I'm just assuming that that locked door in that one bedroom you couldn't open was a bathroom....
Although I'm almost positive that thru out the whole property even in just the house alone I counted more then 6 bathrooms. But I could be wrong.
Yeah there was a lot haha
It’s not something like a garage it’s literally a garage 😆. Nothing creepy about a few sinks in a garage if you are Dexter 😅😆
Un énorme jardin qui demande beaucoup d'entretien.
Une belle propriété !!!
Beautiful yard
That it is.
Love this mansion x
Thanks
Guys make time to click the add so the video owner can earn money. Thanks for the video
Thanks man. Appreciate it.
The gardens and walkway in the beginning of vid were nice!
So sad this was a beautiful place. The rooms don't have much character they look so sterile.
Marble floors & lots of wood trim would have been nice.
One small suggestion, slow your roll just a little when u r panning a room. Thought I saw some marble on one of the fireplaces couldn't be sure.
All that carpeting was gross.
Thx 4 the ride. Interesting house.
Much luv. Stay safe.
This does not appear to be an abondoned property, damage is by people who do not have permission entering property and writingon walls.
So many toilets & fireplaces. Could it be multiresidential. A sanatarium? Has chalkboards in at least 2 rooms. It looks industrial or commercial.
This almost identical to a mansion in London, on Millionaire's Row. It was another abandoned video. It was even burned the same way. Thought is was the same house but rewatched and checked. No that one is in London. Strange.
That's a nice place, liked and subbed from the UK
Aunt Agatha (Bewitched) has been there and stolen all of the doorknobs from the servants quarters. LOL
It’s apparent this is a UK home and with all the water lines ran everywhere it seems it sprung a leak somewhere and caused an electrical fire yet as you entered the outside ceiling had water damage so I suspect the water leak drizzled to a location to exposed wiring which caused this... so sad such a beautiful home went to waste, yet I’ve known for years that USA is superior on permits, codes and re-inspection so this doesn’t happen
From what I can see. It looks like the property is being maintained for either the housing market or for possible renovation and future habitation.
It’s definitely being kept clean.
Looks pretty kept up to me. Not abandoned at all.
40 million ? And another billion in repairs - omg !
Maybe all that unnecessary electrical shit, floor heating etc, is what started the fire. Keep things simple I say.
I find it so interesting that people keep saying that this property is not worth $40 million. We don't know the location of this property. It could be in an area that is very much in demand and therefore priced very high. You know in real estate....it's location, location, location. ALSO, wow what idiot vandals - smut was the extent of their creativity? And to want to damage a once elegant home is disgusting.
Thanks. That’s exactly right. It’s about the area. The house is based in a very wealthy suburb. And you should see it now. The place is destroyed now.
I think people are confused because usually even the most beutiful mansion with the most gaugous wood work and detail to everything everything are 4-8 milion. This place while Im sure it was very nice before destroyed is quite plain. Just looks like a very large ordinary house
I wouldn’t give $400 for the entire place!
That's awesome
Thanks.
Lukie Mc welcome
I think I would have tried to take one of those brand new looking fridges for
Abandon,never,look at the green!
All the holes in the ceilings and water damage is from the fire. But I’m surprised that the windows open to air it out would let a lot animals or bugs in
You are the one who is paid to maintain the place.
Um ok. That’s a first. Sorry but not me.
If u go there often then leave the fire place door open. What is happening the birds are flying through the top of the roof and cant get back out with the door locked. Help safe the birdies lives 😉
The area you were in is for out door catering and guess bath room so guest don't track up the house or steal things
WOW! A lot of work needed.
I reckon. Where do you start the whole house is pretty much had it now.
Cool thanks for the video.
New ones added every week. Subscribe for more.
It looks like the house from the “Money Pit” movie
I would hate to live in a place where I had to have strangers come into the private spaces of my homes just to keep it up. I actually feel sorry for people who have to hire people to take care of their houses. No real privacy within the confines of your home is so vastly strange to my concept of real living. My home is for my family...not strangers. Very weird house...not home. Just a house.
Agreed. Money makes people turn into zombies.
É muito triste ver uma propriedade linda, abandonada nesse estado.😭
It might be vacant but I don’t think it’s a Abandoned someone is truly clearly taking care of the yard mowing the grass and trimming the hedges
Been to plenty that have manicured gardens. But they are abandoned. Some have to keep up the maintenance for the area.
That’s very true I forgot about that I work on forclosed homes It’s the banks that get charged
$40 million for THAT? Sorry, not buying that BS.
au.news.yahoo.com/melbourne-mansion-sells-for-an-eye-watering-40-million-39420979.html
You obviously don't know Australian real estate 🤣 put this in Sydney and you can triple the price
You Aussie mate? Where is this place? Sadly to think this place is worth 40 mil before. I'm sure the owner will come back at some point, demolish the house and sell the land. The garden looks pretty good shape.
Sure am. And yes you would hope so but it will just keep getting destroyed to the point of demolition. Gardens are kept I’m guessing because of the area.
The questionable entertainment space around 9 mins is probably the pool house. It had an entertainment are, a bathroom and a small kitchen. It’s a pool house
Muy bonita, eso más bien regalamenla,y me boy de una.soy de Colombia.
