5:30 nothing happened with the bidet because there was no weight on the seat. It's a safety feature to prevent accidentally flooding the bathroom. What a massive and magnificent house!
Hi Dave. WOW!! This mansion is massive and endless. 10 families can live here and never bump into each other. I hope they aren’t going to demolish this one. This mansion has everything and the guy who owned it had good taste. All those statues and paintings all over. So many bedrooms and bathrooms. And not to mention that ballroom. Just a breath taking mansion. I’m surprised they did not have an Inground pool. This isn’t a house it’s a palace. It’s a shame that the owner went bankrupt and lost this place. A really great explore. Thank you Dave for sharing with us this lovely mansion. Stay safe and well.
My first question is this, what kind of lottery affords you the vast amount of wealth it would take to buy and or build a home this opulent ?? I have seen some homes owned by lottery winners and they pale in comparison to this mansion. Mind you it was 1966 from what we read yet it seems a bit more modern in style, like the kitchen, than in other parts of the house. The painted ceilings certainly harken back to a whole different era when that type of artwork in a nicer home was normal. I would love to know the full background story that accompanies this place. It must be a fascinating one for sure. This home takes the cake for being the most beautiful I have seen other than older mansions of long ago. Thanks for the unbelievable experience to see this special place. What a treasure it is !!
Unbelievably huge house with absolutely no reason to the floor plan. That house isn't even comforting, it's just big and adorned with bling. Nice find.
Thank you for the video. This place is beyond words to describe how every detail is magnificent . I've heard before stories of people coming into a fortune unexpectedly and how through different circumstances blew or lost it all. Sad either way what a gorgeous mansion. I hope someone buys it and makes it their forever home.
If you could open doors and show all the cabinets and closets... details of the kitchen, butlers pantry, etc.. that would be awesome. I kept feeling like you skipped so much. Chicks dig the details, man!
What makes this house truly remarkable is the craftsmanship. The original house is clearly built when construction materials were still quality and low construction costs allowed for craftsmanship. Even the glass in the french doors was remarkable. It is very costly to find that kind of material.
I wouldn't spend 10 million on furniture I'd have the basics bed to sleep in for me kitchen table a small sofa and a 60 inch big screen TV in living room. That's about it. That house is to big cost to much to heat and keep it warm and cool in summer and winter. And the electric bill through the roof...no thanks
I was able to find information about the woman that owned the house and the company she founded. But why does the title of this video say bankrupt billionaire? I was not able to find anything about bankrupt. Most recent i found is she stepped down from the board. Great video. Sad its vacant. Beautiful home. Ballroom would make a better indoor pool.
The only info I could find about this place is that it was originally built in 1966 by a wealthy salesman & his wife. Then in 2008-2009 their kids constructed a huge addition to the home including a 4 car garage, a guest house on the 2nd floor & a massive ballroom that was actually supposed to be an indoor pool. Their last name started with a M, Can't give out too much info but the home was sold in 2021 to a lottery winner then he went bankrupt & never actually lived in the home. As of right now the bank owns it & does little to nothing to maintain it, as you can see the loft has water damage & the paint is chipping everywhere! non the less, this is by far the most beautiful & modern mansion ive ever explored
If I had a house that big I would get lost every day. If it snows or rains you could still get your exercise by running and walking around all over the house all day. What is up guys. Love watching your videos of seeing all these houses. Crazy how people just leave their personal stuff around after they move out.
WOW - that place was so big it was almost hard to follow your tour. Lots of ups and downs. Beautiful architectural details and some gorgeous ceilings. Glad someone figured out the inscription. I like all the windows facing the backyard, must be nice no matter what time of year. A lot of wasted space and too many random columns.
IT APPEARS TO ME THIS HOUSE WAS NEVER LIVED IN. IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE THEY RAN OUT OF MONEY BEFORE IT WAS COMPLETED. I LOVE THE MARBLE BATHROOM AND THE ONE WITH THE STACK STONE. GREAT VIDEO AND YES, I DID SUBSCRIBE.
World Class designer and builder must have been involved in doing this mansion. A true old world design done when money was no problem. Must have been a big family.....lots of entertaining. Lots of walking to just live there. Had to have had crew of maids, butler and nanny? And a bunch to clean the place!
This mansion is beautiful. Very large and a lot if wasted space but if you have that kind of money then why not. I love the home, gorgeous, a lot of detail was put into this mansion. Thanks for sharing this amazing home.
I thought there was a LOT of wasted space too. I bet 50% of that house was never used. If i was a millionaire i would opt to have a place 1/4 of that size. Can you imagine how much the monthly bills would be? You would also have to have a full time staff for upkeep. My head would be spinning!
I love how you go through this houses, you take your time and explain well. This place is too choppy for me. But nicely done. I do like the wall paintings and spiral staircase. I thought the upper loft was pretty sic. Anyway as I said I think your the best on showing these places. Have an awesome day!
Don't worry about keeping your footsteps quiet. It adds to the exploration. That is such a beautiful home. I was also blown away by the loft. I wish I could live there haha
I stopped watching abandoned videos because they were starting to creep me out. But this popped up as a suggestion and it looked nice. Thanks for touring a Nice Abandoned house. It was beautiful.
What, no elevator? I would hate to have to walk down 3 flights of stairs to do the laundry! It’s a beautiful home, but has alot of wasted space…..I would hate to see winter utility bills on that place.
If you can afford a house like this, you aren’t the one doing the laundry. 😄 Agree with the utilities, and that’s part of the reason people who come into sudden wealth (if that’s what happened) go bankrupt. They don’t factor in the expenses that go along with owning a mansion. Utilities, taxes, maintenance. It’s more than just the purchase price.
I realized it's just vanity owning a huge house & only a few dwellers in it. It's better to have a compact house where all that's essentials are there. Something that's easy to maintain & comfy as well. Watching from Philippines.
How is this not breaking and entering criminal trespass? This house is clearly maintained, cleaned and climatized. I guess today you can break in to someone's vacant house and call yourself an "Urbex explorer".
such a beautiful house. I can't believe it was built in 1966. all of the finishes and what not are new with a lot of historical maybe repurposed mantels and stuff. Its amazing though. I'd love to live here. Just not in Toronto!LOL
The inscriptions here, "NVMI NE AFFLA TVR", is a quote from Virgil's 'Aeneid". It roughly means 'Inspired by the Spirit'. Here, 'Spirit" is likely intended to be reference to the Holy Spirit of Christianity
This is an awesome mansion!! One of very very few that is actually spacious, roomy, light and "open" does not feel closterfobic. Definately a dream home.
Noise from shoes was very distracting… wear sneakers on future videos! Needs to be more details given & shouldn’t rush through the video. I would have loved to see & hear more abt the wood carvings on the room that has all that gorgeous woodwork & book shelves. The place has electric so why not turn on the lights so we can see the darken rooms better? The garage wasn’t shown. How many cars can it hold? Also nothing was shown or detailed abt the grounds. Did it have a pool? Very impressed & love the house….but not so much with the presentation of the tour.
I wonder if there was wild parties in this mansion when people lived in it.. and what the back story is about the person that won the lottery and how he lost it. Sad to hear the person went bankrupt but it happens.
This home is way too big for me. It has so much space I could convert this to a decent bed n breakfast. That grand ballroom area i could actually picture an indoor pool in that. I do love that master bathroom though. Great explore UBD. Big Hugs from Alberta
All i can say is wowwww..wowwww..wowww. But i realized having a massive house, mansions, extravagant lifestyle is expensive. The more extravagant the more expensive, the more bigger house the more electricity bills and maintenance. If something happen to the owner (DIE,lost themselves)it will end up selling or abandon it. That mansion need still a thousands of dollar to fulfill a furniture. It's still good to live simple and low maintenance so you can less. Godbless everyone❤
Great video Dave!! Sometimes you just scratch your head and say wow!! How can people that have that kind of money just go bankrupt!! What idiots, what a life to live in that house. I live in a 1400 sq. Ft. House without all the beauty in that one. I bet they wish they would have handled their money a little better.
probably the main reason they went bankrupt...wasting all their money on such a huge mansion. Probably didn't count on having to pay taxes and utilities on it for the rest of their lives. They would have been better off buying a ton of land and living in a much smaller house.
@Freaktography, what was in that room, if you were able to go into it, at time stamp 1:50 ? Both you & Ethan Minnie explored this place, neither one of you went into that room? There was another entry to it in the massive ballroom too. Just wondering & if you plan a return trip, if possible for that?
That ball room is amazing. Heck the whole house is amazing. I’m almost betting that under the raised dance floor is an in ground in door pool. And I bet inside that wall mural is a secret door to a hidden room for security cameras.
Beautiful place. Interesting perspective because right now it is move in ready but that one bit of water damage. Give it 6-7 years and it will need massive repair and have black mold. I hope that story is not true. Sad to hear people coming into fortune and losing it.
The money to build, furnish, and maintain. A beautiful home. Did they actually use all that square footage? Kids would love to play hide and seek there I bet. I saw a few places I could make a quilt/sewing studio. Surprised there are no intercom systems in place.
Crazy that they would leave something like this vacant and not have alarms or some type of security. Why need rooms that big? Bet he didn't even use half the house. Sad i wish i had half the money he had.
Way too big for me. Lots of wasted space. I think there is a pool in that backyard just can't remember where. Guess it's ok. Pretty neat Dave. Stay warm.
What a HIDEOUS house, tacky paintings on the ceiling as well. Money doesn't = good taste or good design. Arrest the architect please, this house should be considered a CRIME!
Yeah, this mansion is so beautiful, but its haunted. Another explorer saw this place too, Exploring with Angelo, and on his video, i heard some voices. 😮😊

How hard it would be to raise kids in such a home - all the twists and turns and hiding spaces! Imagine those floors in stockinged feet! Oh! Ow! How not fun.
I wonder how no one comes in to steal from this mansion? In my country, the gypsies will not leave anything of it (including the bricks) for less than a week!
This place is more like a suburban Marriott Convention Center than a residence. Those murals are conventional commercial art that can be purchased and installed like wallpaper. No Michaelangelo here. And they're not beautiful. The overall effect is tastelessness. I'm sure that wine cellar was filled by the lottery winner with Gallo California "burgundy" and "chablis". Speaking as an architect, the irregular shaped rooms meander along no clear circulation path that are randomly stuffed with expensive objects. Just following the video made me dizzy. Up 3 steps, down 2 more. Turn left, then right. And our guide is awestruck by toilets and bathtubs. Smart money doesn't want this vulgar pile. That's why it is abandoned.

Very close to the neighbors for that kind of money. Crazy floor plans indeed. I did like all the deep soaking tubs though.
kinda like me

Dude, you gotta be sitting on the toilet seat for the bidet to work. No way this house is abandoned...it's in mint shape. How did you get in??
It's not moldy, the interior is in good shape, etc. . Besides, it sold. I'm sure the doors were locked.
