Oh yeah i found a perfect curb, it sits right on top a cliff.
Let me just bring ace pelka to the cliff curb
It's also dry, rough and cracked. And the ground is dirty, uneven and basically an unskateable narrow strip on the side of the road. Sounds like loads of fun!.
😂👍
Lols we might die but it'll be a good clip
Exactly what I was thinking shit is deadly
PSA for a great video
(from a former professional concrete worker, and a very non-professional skater lol):
Be lung-safe when using the rub brick to sand concrete…
Concrete dust is a legitimately toxic killer which most people never have to worry about, but professionals take seriously.
(can vouch)
Anyone who works either in cement production (uncommon) or the sanding and machining (sawing, drilling, sanding, crushing, etc) of dry concrete knows the serious hazards of Silica Dust, which is a component of concrete dust.
Inhaled “Respirable Crystalline Silica Dust” makes a home in the pores of the lungs and Does Not Leave. The body can’t remove it, either through bloodflow (wouldn’t be any better anyway), or absorption into cells/tissue (would also be bad), or respiration.
It sinks into the absorbent pores of the lungs and starts scarring tissue. This then leads to All Kinds of debilitating and eventually lethal problems, including various cancers, silicosis, and more.
Concrete dust is evil.
Anyone on a job site knows that if concrete dust is being produced and you don’t have a fitted mask that’s properly rated (for superfine particulate dust at 5 micron particle size, so this isn’t just a tshirt or bandana) you just take a break and walk down the block until the dust is gone and everyone can get back to work.
While risk increases with exposure, there’s no known minimum amount, and a little bit can go a long way.
Just know that whatever little bit you breathe in, you’re not going to breathe it back out, ever. You’ll know the smell/taste of concrete dust even if you’ve never experienced before. If it smells like something other than air, That’s the concrete dust introducing itself to your respiratory system.
So, when sanding concrete, absolutely Avoid Breathing the Dust, whether
- with a very good mask (more plentiful than ever since the pandemic)
or
- maybe do the sanding on an extremely windy day
or
- sand only wet concrete soaked with water
or
- all of the above
Work safe and skate hard!
ps you should def wear a mask when using a rub brick the concrete dust is super gnarly on your lungs
MEH, Youre outside, not a big deal. especially since you are only doing it just for a few minutes and not sanding for a long time. the breeze usually blows it away just as fast as you sand. stop being a safety sally bro.....
@@orion7741 I'm just throwing out a suggestion because that shit is actually bad for you and most people don't think about it. I'm sorry you're so upset about the suggestion of using a mask, you can huff concrete dust if you want I'm not going to stop you.
Yeah considering kids are most likely the ones who will do this
@@orion7741 you won't last long bro.....
@@orion7741 yeah I was grinding a ledge once and tons of dust building up then a gust of wind came and blew it all right in my face....I wouldnt go so far as to wear a mask but def use your broom to brush it away every lil bit
This is so Indy. And I love the image of him climbing up the cliff with his board. Something u don’t see everyday
Speaking as a professional broom operator for many years of my life, Sal is correct.
Fax
Wish I knew this when I was like 9 and couldn’t skate anything but nearby curbs
hes gotta have so much self confidence and trust in himself to skate that thing. mad respect to all of you guys.
Ace is a curb god I’d let him slappy my mum
@@slimeslime2123 lmao
Remember when waxing was cutting edge technology?
Improvise, adapt, overcome
"The true creator is necessity, who is the mother of our invention" - Plato
Definitely some skills to prepping a spot I didn't know before
lol never thought about skating the curbs along sunset cliffs
The city "your porch is one inch too high, you need to build a railing and reapply for approval"
Also the city.....
the city has nothing to do with this video though.....
@@orion7741 lol, who do you think owns that curb?
Good to know on the clear coat concrete sealer, will have to try. Thanks!
I believe it was Josh Nelson who said "lean back and go faster".. this was before skaters used wax.
I’m a believer in working smarter not harder. Rub brick and lacquer is the way
This is so sick, and I think this is how you create a spot that has personality, it’s got a great view and has consequence, turned it into a destination more than just another curb
The things dudes do for content for us. Thanks you crazy dudes. Madness was right on Ace's pants. I would never say yes to skating a curb on a cliff.
Slow TV with Rhino is the best thing I never knew I wanted
It was like watching groundhog day seeing ace have to go down there multiple times!!
thank you for useful curb knowlege, alot of these curb repost instagrams are run by kooks with zero knowledge
A couple of hard hats and yellow vests from harbor freight. A couple of cones either side of where you’re working and you’re legit in the eyes of almost everyone.
Absolutely. Hiding in plain sight ftw.
more rhino!!!! absolute legend !!!!
This is the type of content I like
Ace is the man!!!
Salba's advice is good! Pull'n a broom keeps the dust down!
Great video, thanks. Adding that concrete sealer to my arsenal.
Such a sick video we need more ish like this
needed this 🙌
anyone else getting sweaty palms watching them skate this? lol great video
thanks for making this, I'm gonna go skate it now
I love Independent trucks.
Sick method to this dude's slappy madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So rad !!!
Same can of gallon Bondo filler is $15 at Walmart. Just a heads up from a skater/ auto restorer.
I love it! 🛹 sometimes I wax the bottom of my board. Works great.
Thank you for this
Yeah Rhino🤘🤘
Amazing!
Rhino is the man
Killer!!🤙
Someone is gonna die trying to recreate this
Hopefully
Sick content
I got anxiety looking over the edge...Smart way to keep that spot local and for gnarly curb skaters lol
They have dewalt handheld air movers that run on rechargeable battery and they kick ass. Bondo is a art mixing the right amount of red stuff!
sick, thanks
rhino is sick
They gonna think we're tweeking over here 😂
Make it grind. Now I know why the ads in Thrasher Magazine for Independent Trucks 2021 don't say "built to grind" like the ads in the 1980's.
So you want them to skate a dry curb on the side of a cliff
@@stevensepic. yeah that's what I would do. Hey that's just me. But the whole point of my comment is to point out that the ad does not have the "build to grind" words anymore. It has nothing to do with waxing or not waxing the curb. Skateboarders do whatever is fun for them. There is no wrong way to skateboard.
SD County about to be even more slappy central
Those drone shots, epic. Independent trucks🛡️, Ace & Rhino, The Best.
That might be the gnarliest slappy curb I’ve ever seen 😂
That is a pro level curb
Only in Cali can you prep a curb without issues like that.
Try doing that in NY here & you’d be locked up faster than the Flash on crack.
Good luck even getting the curb to grind in nyc
Gotta love that a guy named Ace rides Indy's and not Ace haha!
Rhino seems like the raddest dude
Saucing it up
Im not dying over a slappy
🔥🔥🔥
how long between application and sanding it down?
So gnarly. I'm gonna find a curb to fix up that's less cliffy.
it's madness
this looks like santa cruz, im close by, I should find this spot :0 I just started practicing my 50 50s and grinds
More vids like this!
Should get javi on some of these indy diy vids. That foo sick
Pro tip, find a safer curb.
Point Loma sesh!
Ocean Beach skaters bout to get smoked on that cliff curb...cant wait
That death fall😬
This is honestly why I love street skating more than skating at a park. The creativity is endless
rad
4:13 that's an abnormal titan in the back lool
Anyone can list European brands for that concrete sealer? I have no idea what it is called in my language so I can't search the hardware stores...
Google translate is your friend.
You need to make a disclaimer to wear a mask or not breath particles because kids are going to be the ones doing this! They won’t think of PPE. Just repost with a warning added
Look out, Helen Lovejoy is in the comment section.
3:15 the only bondage i'm into
Don't knock it til you try it
Paint roller for sure less sand ?
BS Noseblunt on that wall would have been insane!
Any news on blacked out trucks hitting eu shops?

Finally, a way to make a damn slappy more dangerous than the mega ramp. Seriously why the hell would you do this?
Watco makes a liquid lacquer that lets you put it on thick as fuck in 1 coat
