Nothing broke any lore as of today m8. In Phase 4 they again set up a lot of stuff. Some of it already gets payed off - Kingpin from Hawkeye in Echo, now going into Daredevil new series, Falcon being new Cap going into Cap 4, USAgent, probably one of the best arcs in mcu yet just in one show so far going into Thunderbolts along with Bucky. Ms Marvel with bracelet of Kree going into The Marvels. Bracelet from Shang Chi is connected to - something from Phase 5 or 6, we dont know yet. Eternals is going to have pay off with X-Men probably (Celestial material - many speculate its source of future Adamantium for Wolverine), perhaps island itself could also be new mutant asylum - Krakoa + Black Knight is going into Blade, Blade is going to be connected to Midnight Sons and so on. Then many Kangs across multiple series and movies, which Loki brilliantly connects and explains perfectly how multiverse actually works and saves it all in a SHOW + now Deadpool is gonna have heavy connections to Loki through TVA and we are gonna meet Alioth - creature who debuted in Loki show is gonna be featured in Deadpool 3. How crazy is that? That is super connectivity between shows and movies. Dont even get me started on Armor Wars which is going to be heavily connected to Hammer from this vid for obvious reasons xD M8, the only one not paying attetion to continuity is you, clearly.

    They would not have gone through so much trouble to match up continuity if Studios was gonna ret-con the shows out of canon. The only exception being Helstrom which even Television themselves decided to make standalone after the Ghost Rider show got cancelled. Hell, Black Panther literally had to be rewritten to keep Luke Cage Season 2 canon. They were willing to alter the films to let the shows still be canon, and people actually think the shows are just tossed aside because "not enough references"? Yeah no. There weren't references to the shows because they had their own corners of the MCU to flesh out and had no place in the Infinity Saga. I mean, where are you gonna reference some of these shows anyways? Do we need Doctor Strange in his movie to turn to the camera and say "Oh, by the way, Ghost Rider is in Los Angeles right now"? Cause that'd be forced and dumb if you ask me.
    Even then, Marvel Studios made the WHIH Newsfront clips, and those referenced the shows and films both directly. Marvel Studios made those, they acknowledged the shows as canon.

Yeah it was re-written to "Bucky killed him" to have someone for Tony to put his anger on, but Steve already knew that HYDRA killed Tonys parents. He learns that in Winter Soldier movie with Arnim Zola pulling out articles if I recall. Its clear HYDRA assasinated Starks parents. Steve probably knew they designed their top assasin - Winter Soldier to do it. Its why when Tony asks Steve in Civil War - "DID YOU KNEW"? Steve responds "I DIDNT KNEW IT WAS HIM" - meaning he wasnt 100% sure it was Bucky, but he knew Hydra killed them and never told Tony, as he probably feared as well, that it might have been Bucky who did it. Steve literally finds out about Starks assasination while looking on info of Hydra top assasin - winter soldier xD Its even hard to call it "re-write" if you think about it. • @OptimysticPessimyst
      @OptimysticPessimyst Год назад +20

      Where are these comments? SHIELD is flimsy but Cage is very obviously canon. Might have to explain how Cottonmouth was resurrected into a vampire but we have 3 Capaldis, 2 Gillans, 2 Colin Bakers and 2 David Bradley’s in the Whoniverse. SHIELD needs an outright confirmation of where exactly the timeline split for them because one minute Hydra’s rising again, SHIELD is rebuilt and Inhumans & Ghost Rider are running about, then we had Graviton & they time travelled. Where was the timeline split…? Personally, I think the recent developments with Kang could very much facilitate a return to canon for SHIELD

    • @northwindkey
      @northwindkey Год назад +20

      @@OptimysticPessimyst The timeline never split. Just because that stuff isn't mentioned in the films doesn't mean it didn't happen. It just wasn't important to the Thanos story. Also, they got the Inhuman outbreak under control pretty quickly.
      The only diversion from MCU canon was the altered Season 7 timeline, but they ditched that timeline and came back to the main MCU at the end.
      Also, one actor can play more than one character. Gemma Chan plays two characters in the MCU after all. You don't need to explain Blade looking like Cottonmouth, it's called suspension of disbelief. Hell, Rhodey changed faces and Banner changed faces, why can't two people look kinda similar too?

    • @PenneySounds
      @PenneySounds  Год назад +10

      @@northwindkey The timeline must have split, because at the end of AOS season 5, they confirm that the Battle of Wakanda is happening as they speak, but season 6 cuts to a year later and there's zero indication that they're one year into the blip.
      But the time travel in season 5 gives an easy out for that. They could easily pick up the story in a new season of Loki. Perhaps the SHIELD team had to survive, so Thanos got pruned in that timeline.

    • @northwindkey
      @northwindkey Год назад +8

      @@PenneySounds Omission isn’t negation though. Just because something isn’t mentioned doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
      I hold the snap did happen still. It killed off all the Defenders and Cloak and Dagger and all major SHIELD characters not seen Post-S5, but left the rest of the SHIELD team and the Runaways. That’s a pretty even balance.
      That’s a pretty easy explanation, and since the show was never officially de-canonized at any point, any explanation is more reasonable than just assuming it became non-canon despite how much they said otherwise.

    • @PenneySounds
      @PenneySounds  Год назад +6

      Yeah, I don't buy that. Especially with Jemma and Daisy looking for Fitz in space. The fact that half the population of the universe turned to ash would come up. It's pretty inescapable that it never happened in the timeline of AOS post season 5. But the fact that the time travel in season 5 created at least one branch (the one in which earth was destroyed) means that doesn't make it non-canon.
      I don't know why you're saying Ty and Tandy would have been killed but the Runaways wouldn't. Ty and Tandy are in the final episode of Runaways. But Runaways likely takes place before Infinity War, like all the other shows besides Agents.
