    0:43 i want this, so, mic, looper, and then headphone. But isn’t it mono then and therefore only one ear? What’s the solution for that?

    • @FKeyLoops

      You will need a small mixer to run it into, or run it into a instrument amplifier or speaker with a TS connection (Instrument lead), Good luck!

      Thanks Hoystyler. I'll do one on connections / settings for all the gear I use in the near future. I do have one that gives some detail on the RC-505 & MK3 link.

    Is there also a hardware looper that has four channels in and four channels out?
    Would be nice to put in front of a DJ mixer.

    How about using something like zoom livetrack l-12? -a mixer with recording option. Does it make sense or looper is better option?

    • @FKeyLoops
      @FKeyLoops  10 месяцев назад +1

      Only to record your performance. I wouldn't use a recording mixer for live looping as there is no tempo sync.

  • @abigailallgood2489
    @abigailallgood2489 Год назад +1

    Hey! Thanks, cool video. For the level 2... how does the audience hear the looping? Do you have a speaker plugged into the RC505? And if so, why doesn't your mic pick up the sounds from the speaker when you do new loops? I have an RC505 and a Rowland piano and a microphone, but I don't know what I'm missing to start doing live looping.

    • @FKeyLoops
      @FKeyLoops  Год назад

      HI Abigail, Good questions. You can plug your RC-505 directly into the PA (Speakers) or what I do is run it through a small mixer (Sound board) . When you are looping you get a little bit of sound from the speaker coming back into the next loop you record. How much will depend on what microphone you use, and the direction of the speaker and microphone, There is also a noise gate function on your RC-505, than can cut out a bit of that playback noise, whilst you aren't sending audio in through the mic. Practice at home with your PA setup as you would at a gig, keep experimenting and Good luck!

    To connect the maschine and the 505 you only need to connect the two with a MIDI cord? Do you have to do anything software-wise to sync them up?
    Thank you very much for this tutorial, it's incredibly helpful!

      Yes, Set RC-505 Midi to master and Mk3 Midi to Slave.

    Is crazy that Marc Rebillet uses the level 2. The multi looper. The midi keyboard for his interment libraries and lots and lots of talent and groove. I think the lastest is more important than fancy gear. But going dawless has its own appeal

    • @FKeyLoops
      @FKeyLoops  11 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for your comment. I would consider Marc Rebillet as a DAWLESS Looper. All his looping is manually controlled via the RC-505 MkII. As he only uses the computer for midi sounds, he is not running the loops off a Digital Audio Workstation. And almost everything he does on the MkII, he was doing previously on the MKI as well. Yes he is a beast!! Love @marcrebillet ❤ 💖 ❣ 💕

    Can a DAW reduce the hardware you need? Seems to be getting exponentially techy, can be a mood killer.

    • @FKeyLoops
      @FKeyLoops  9 месяцев назад

      I'd say both are similar in amount of gear required at this point. Adding a DAW also requires a steep learning curve to get to the same functionality a hardware loop setup offers almost instantly. But the more intricate you get the more a DAW becomes the preferred option, and the possibilities become endless!

  • @synd0gg

    Does the MK3 work without a computer? I thought only the Plus did that?

    • @FKeyLoops
      @FKeyLoops  Год назад +1

      You are correct. MK3 is plugged into a laptop.
