Great grocery haul the pinch at the grocery store is real. I make a monthly dinner plan I try to make fried rice once a week its cheap and very filling with the rice and you can throw any leftover meat or vegtables into it, i also do a sandwich night, soup night, taco night, pasta or pizza night, hot dogs or hamburger night and then i do a big meal like a roast or whole chicken or pork loin. I also look for meals that I can make on the cheap utilizing things i have so this week they have Kielbasa for $2.49 so i buy 2 because i have 5 in my family all adults and highschool kids I will add squash and broccoli that i have in the fridge and add stuffing or box mac n cheese that I have in stock makes it a $5 dinner I try to make a few $5 dinners a month. I also grow a garden and can my own food. Anyways hope you have a great week.

@@angelafleming3328 Thanks for sharing! Those are excellent tips. That’s why I’m doing this so we can all share different ideas and hopefully we can glean off of each other and make the most of our money when we have to go grocery shopping. 🤍

Great video! You asked about ideas to cut down the grocery budget. Well, I can tell you what we did about 12 years ago when our income was cut in half because I came home to homeschool the boys. We had to cut out sodas, juice, chips, etc. Cookies were homemade. Pizza was homemade. Muffins, bread, all of it was homemade because it was cheaper, though certainly not faster. We would only buy store brand items unless the name brand was on sale for less. We shopped loss leaders from the grocery ads and built our meals around that. It worked and we made it on a shoestring budget. But there were definitely sacrifices made to make it happen. I tried ease the family into having less of their favorites and not tell them when I replaced a brand name with a private label item. Most of the time, they didn’t know the difference. One thing I noticed, when we started using exclusivity homemade bread products, my boys’ ADHD issues improved some. Not 100% but noticeable at least. Keep up the great work!!

Those are great tips! I would cut out the sodas here if it wasn’t for my husband. I make homemade tea for the kids and I. Plus we have water, and recently we didn’t start drinking fruit juice. What I bought yesterday will last all month for us, as far as the fruit juice. My adult daughter makes pizza and bread from scratch. You mentioned homemade is cheaper but not faster, which is true. It’s also definitely a lot more delicious though. Thank you so much for taking the time to share those tips. They’re all really good ideas! 🤍

@@Waysofherhousehold At this time I only buy meat from Aldi or a local butcher. I would love to go in with my daughters and their families and buy a cow and split it.
I do find that Aldi has organic meat which seems to be good quality for a very reasonable price. I buy frozen chicken from there and I try to always have extra on hand in case I’m in a pinch.
