When Khu starts talking more info, that may indicate the game has entered testing stage, so there are already materials for marketing division to work on.

Imo gen 10 is coming in 2026. Probably early 2026. Because I think they would want to release the 10th generation as close to the 30th birthday of pokemon as possible. With that in mind they would have to announce it about a year prior (early 2025), which leaves very little room to generate hype for pokemon z-a throughout the year. I think z-a will release on January 2025 and will probably be pretty similar to legends arceus in mechanics, graphics, dex size, game length etc.. It also fits perfectly with the tcg releases that are planned for next year and as pokemon love to introduce a new "gimmick" to the tcg every once in a while, mega evolutions are probably on their way back to the tcg as well and will probably be the main focus of the newer sets from that point forward. The only thing that doesnt really add up is that Jan 2025 is pretty close and we literally have no idea how the game looks, let alone if it looks any good. I think gamefreaks recent staff expansions and recruitments are because they simply cannot carry the burden as they are now. If there is one thing pokemon showed throughout recent years is that they want to maximize profit with as little expenses as possible and if they want more people working for them I dont think its because they are too bothered about the way sv released. They could also just release z-a in late 2025 then announce gen 10 on the 30th anniversary and release it on late 2026. Either option doesnt make too much sense but seems like it could work. To me z-a should have been hyped a lot more by now. The only thing that can make things make sense is if a lengthy direct will come before or right after worlds where they would just show us the bigger parts of the game or even some gameplay if were lucky. In any case pokemon are keeping a low profile which they have only done before releasing shitty games so Im pretty worried.
Sure, if they announce gen 10 before PLZA drops or in an august direct. Neither seem likely as the former will cannibalize PLZA’s sales & the latter will lead to a rushed promo cycle where there is not enough time to promote something as big as a new generation. This is why I think gen 10 will be in mid to late 2026.
