Rax Demonflame it's not illegal but I see what you mean, I don't how the truck drivers blood is not boiling, I would of been going Bezerk, wanting to strangle that douchebag in the black car
I only drove my truck one time to New York City in 2010 and I will never ever go there again, you need nerves of steel to drive a truck in that crazy city. Now a lot of trucking companies pay a bonus for drivers to go to New York City because no one wants to go there and if an un experienced driver goes there he/she will never get out of there.
That nerves of steel thing apply's to pretty much any major city anywhere in the world....once you get off the freeway/motorway system and onto inner city streets it just a madhouse.
I went back to NY almost a year later. I got so pissed trying to get back to NJ. I hit 95 north and took it up to some big bridge and came back across. I think I will just do that next year.
much respect to you, you never lose your cool like the others who post their dash cams but theyre actually road ragers and poor drivers. and i love your accent too!
@ 0:03 the firefighters reaction is priceless a cyclist eats tarmac and he is just strolling over to check on the cyclist and leans towards the fire truck NYFD at its best. No need to rush he’s not hurt thankfully. Outch. Nice video.
Been driving a TT thru the city since '78. They never stop surprising me with their moves. There's nothing like it. A day driving in N YC is like a big game. You get excited, angry, and thrilled. By the end of the day you're exhausted until the next day when you get back on the back of that bull and they open the gate again.
That first one man is hilarious. I like how he gets mad @ the firefighters because he didn't give them plenty of room and got hit by an opening door. Way to embarrass yourself twice...in a row. LOL
I am a trucker driver in Sweden. Visited New York 2-3 years ago. Cool city, but driving a Heavy truck there....is probably the last thing on Earth I would like to do :p Cool video!
True that! I learned to drive in a big city and I totally get it. Granted, I've never driven a truck in a big city, just limousines. Nonetheless, I was taught to be assertive and aggressive of sorts.

at 1:50 you both appear to be merging into the same lane at the same time. It appears he is in front of you on the merge. He gives you some room to stop just in case you didn't see him. You appear to be forcing him out of the lane when all you got to do is just accelerate a little slower and let him slip in. You are both road raging. As a CDL driver you should have shown more control and responsibility, a ticket hurts you far more then it will hurt him.
Unfortunately the dash cam only gives a small view as to the entire picture of whats happening. I was fully loaded, pulling a trailer, with heavy equipment. Due to length it takes me a while to safely change lanes, which I was doing. If you notice that prius shot up, while I was already mid lane change and tried to cut me off. Only turning right is allowed when it's red. But even then, you still have to give precedence to the traffic that has green.
Exactly.
