@@mark_r49 Clearly you have the mind of a child if you are trying to put people down over their lack of knowledge or understanding. I'll even bet it makes you feel very highly of yourself as well. I know this type of person very well. It gives them an illusion that they are a few notches above the person they are attempting to insult. They enjoy it because it makes them feel good inside. There is a medical term for this but I cannot think of what it is called at the moment.
White truck was trying to pull an insurance scam. Pull out in front of a semi, slow, then get rear ended by the semi because it can't stop fast enough. His word against the semi. No evidence so it's semi's fault. The white truck stopped when the semi driver pointed out he had a camera recording.
I pulled out in front of a big rig about 7 years ago, no accident, but did cause him to slam his brakes. I still feel so badly about.I haven't done anything that stupid since.
thereallalablue we thank you for that by us just slamming the brakes makes flat spots coursing the Trailer to bounce until the tires are replaced also the load to shift putting us over weight or to break thought the Trailer crushing us or anyone around us a lot of people don't realize what making us brakes hard will do. Thanks for the comment have a great day and be safe!
thereallalablue thank you for understanding your mistake sir and we appreciate your efforts. Pls spread or pass your good driving behavior to your loved ones as well. One day it will save lives.
hmm... so the US (semi) trailers have no anti-lock-system? Here in Germany/Europe every trailer above 3500kg (~7700lbs) gross weight not only needs it's own brakes but anti-lock brakes! It's the law since 1991. Regards from Germany - Jonas
Andrew Shin for real though, I believe this also. Who would actually want to test their luck with a semi though? It's one of my biggest fears, colliding or having a accident with a semi.
I always give truckers PLENTY of room. If I must pass, I do so quicky, respectfully, and do NOT cut them off. Basic physics...semis do NOT stop on a dime!
equarg Truth is they can be your best friend or your worst enemy on the road. People need to learn how to make them your best friend on the road. They do take it upon themselves to protect and help other drivers when you are respectful to them, but if you have no respect for the 80,000 plus load and the power behind that it can turn ugly fast. Learn how to be each other’s best friends. It saves lives in more ways than one.
John Steele your comment doesn't offend me but you sound like a very toxic minded person. I'm glad I don't know you and I'm sure people around you hate you and your logic. K thanks bye
Me too! I was hoping that, on the third time, the semi would just keep going straight, not try to swerve to avoid the white truck, and let the idiot in the truck go ahead and run into him and then bounce off and lose control and wipe out.
Please respect truck drivers give them space when they on the road they are only people who delivers important cargo that we are using our day today life.
So what do u do when they merge into ur lane on a highway and push u off into the shoulder? Wave them on by with a smile lol? Not all truckers are good
“I’m angry at the truck for honking at me, even thought I clearly wasn’t paying attention. I’m gonna continually cut of the vehicle that weighs several times mine, will easily kill me if it runs over me, and has difficulty stopping.” GREAT FUCKING PLAN, DIPSHIT!
I can understand Centaur Lord's point though. As an engineer for CSX, moving from a high speed main line into an urban, low speed line is always a bit of a nut tightener, especially if you're coming downhill at 70+ mph with 8-12000 tons of freight behind the lead units. The idiots that try to race the crossings are icing on the cake too, never sure if today's the day you vaporize a Honda made of recycled rubbermaid cans because the guy behind the wheel thought physics didn't apply to him. I imagine it's much the same for the guy in the rig.
JAY THE GAMER BOY Thank you! PSA: TRUCK DRIVERS ARE THE PEOPLE WHO BRING YOU EVERYTHING YOU USE IN YOUR COMFY LITTLE DOMESTIC LIFE. don’t take truckers for granted. if YOU wreck into that poor trucker and they don’t have a dash cam, 99% of the time THEY are gonna get that blame and potentially lose their license. are you that willing to ruin someone’s entire livelihood, people? (not a trucker, just a daughter of one.)
"Please don't become a hood ornament for my truck." If I were your boss I'd give you a raise just for that and order a bumper sticker for ya with that exact quote.
I hear ya buddy. I'm not a truck driver but I always try to give you guys the respect you deserve and the space you need. I've driven a small truck for a couple of weeks when I was young and that was a real eye opener early in my life as a driver. I think everybody should be made to drive a truck just once so as to realize how hard it is.
I don't drive a truck, and I understand all of this. People simply don't care. You don't matter, only they do. I've ran across people like the first guy in the pickup truck. They enter the road and use you as a marker. If they aren't ahead of you, they believe they're wasting their time. Drivers like the one in the blue car I see all the time. They'll look right at you, and then pull out in front of you. They don't care.
MFXdump if you don't want to be behind me, go 72. I'm baffled at the people who continue to pass me, only for me to promptly pass them again. I've been going 70 all afternoon, and will continue to go 70 well into the evening. How are you confused by this?
jfsa380 I don't give a crap if I have to be behind anyone. Just Don't pass, then slow back down. If I'm ahead of you, and going faster than you are going to go, then don't zoom around, then slow down. What I was explaining is the tards that slow down, then break their necks trying to get back in front of you. Then make mistakes while switching lanes, end up many cars behind you, then once again kill themselves trying to get back in front of you again. As if you are the marker they've set for themselves. A place marker to reference to. Sometimes the same car will fall behind, then come zooming past me again. Only to switch to a slower lane, and go zooming back in front of me again later. Its annoying.
MFXdump especially, as i said prior, my speed very rarely changes. I've been going 70 for the last 4 hours, and yet these four wheelers are baffled by constant speed.
Because they don't understand Newtons laws of motion or they think their little SMart car can get up to speed with a 1L-3cyl engine and stop within 5 ft from 10mph so any vehicle at any speed has the same capablities.
Yeah, the guy switched lanes as he was driving by him and the semi moved onto the rumble strips. Should have just stayed how he was going and sent the moron flying
@Jasmine Taylor I don’t know if you noticed...but this driver did. He started pulling over the second the fire truck came into view. But there’s this thing called physics that sometimes stops people from doing things as quickly as you’d like them to.
@Jasmine Taylor so did you not watch the clip in question before Posting your comment?.. because what you just said is literally what the truck driver did. They pulled their Truck as far over as they could without going off road, which can be far more risky to do in a Semi. While also decreasing their speed as quickly as they could, and if it's not an understood fact. Semi trucks, especially with loaded trailers, can't slow down as quickly as cars.
@@ericmanso7355 the fire engine turned normally. Don't see a problem there. Didn't see much slowing by the truck until close to the junction, but that's inertia for you.
People don't know how to merge!! The merge is supposed to be a flow from the ramp into the lane on the freeway/interstate. YOU DO NOT BRAKE AND THEN GET OVER! OR "MERGE" GOING 45 ON 70 FREEWAY!
Jake OZ Amen ! A lot of them were eating up some grass on the highway shoulder because I couldnt get over or drastically slow down for their slow asses to get in....Oh and most of them are always on the damn phone. completely oblivious
Just this past Saturday I was traveling and I was in the middle lane of a three-lane interstate and an old man in a Dakota talking on his cellphone merged up ahead of me and was so caught up in his conversation that when he couldn't find a room to merge he just continued to drive on the shoulder for like a thousand feet until finally he pulled his head out of his butt and realized he was on the shoulder and started looking for a space to fit in.
they piss me off. if I'm stuck behind some dozy twat driving down the on ramp at 40, I'll stop. wait for them to clear, then run up to 70 before the merge. dickheads.
I love the semi drivers - one time early in the morning, I was going down highway 5 in the Camp Pendleton area where there are no street lights. I could see ahead on the freeway some flashing lights and when I got closer, a semi had pulled up to a car completely stopped in the number 3 lane with no lights at all. If that truck had not been there, in the dark I may have hit that car at full speed. I always flash my light for trucks that need to merge.
@@spacebarowo1624 - It’s the flashing hazard lights - the triangle on the button that’s somewhere on the dash that you tap to turn on the hazard lights. The big truck had turned on their hazard lights. When you want to let a big truck that’s in front of you while you are traveling, you flash your regular headlights to let them merge.
Cyberat Rodent I know my vehicles limit and I calculate the speed of the truck, I'm always visually aware but if I know the truck driver may have to tap his brakes in anyway from me getting in front of him, I'll just wait and let em pass, if I've got space I'll still floor it regardless just to keep the trucker out of harm and of course myself
I have one on my small car. You are absolutely right. Everyone should have a dash cam. Insurance companies don’t care about police reports. State Farm the hypocrite company with their saying“ like a good neighbor State Farm is there” crap they let me go because of one accident. If I only had the prof of a simple dash cam I would have won the case 25 years of driving and they believed a teenager. I had the green light he turned in front of me. Of course he won I was the one who hit him.
THey can but they can also be a double edge sword at the same time. You have to remember that its on and recording everything you say. You mumble the wrong thing even as a joke it will be taking out of context in court and could screw you over.
My mom has driven a semi for 13 years, and I spent about 5 years with as her non-driver 2nd seat. She was OTR for C.R. England. We were on our way back from Laredo, TX when a state trooper came flying out of the median on the highway just before an underpass bridge and nearly ran another trucker and us off the bridge. The trucker in front of us had a rear trailer tire blow out trying to avoid hitting him because he had to brake so hard.
Well, unfortunately, that person was actually thinking. That clip was evidence of an ever-increasing epidemic of drivers who only care about themselves (rather ironic in this case). Their entire thought process is, "I'm me and I should be able to do whatever I want, whenever I want, and however I want. F*** the laws and f*** everyone else."
Idk but thats the exact thing somebody did on a highway near my town last week, but the semi was doing 65 mph and didnt see her until it was way too late. Killed the driver and a kid in the back seat
necromancer101 Not much of a cash grab when you get t-boned on the drivers door by a semi truck going 55mph+ in a little Honda Civic. Most likely the Honda driver is dead or severely injured. And they won't win a lawsuit cause the dashcam on the truck clearly shows the Honda was in the wrong by pulling out like that thinking they could beat the big rig. So many dumb and selfish drivers out there, it makes my blood boil.
it’s the semi truck drivers fault because he would have been fine if he swerved to the right instead! The truck driver hit him past the double yellow lines
I'm a commercial driver and seeing the reactions of the truck driver I feel he was either betting the other driver was gonna slam on their brakes and he'd buzz them with a close call or he wasn't paying attention. I saw no attempts to slow the truck down and he failed at defensive driving. Definitely the sedan driver's fault, but you have to account for idiots on the road. And why veer left and square up on the side of the car? I would think natural reactions would cause you to veer right.
Im about to become one and it is literally scaring me. Just took my class 2 which is for a rigid heavy good vehicle. I took my test in a 32 tonne lorry. Next is class 1 in a articulated unit and trailer weighing roughly 38-40 tonnes. D: I don't know how im going to do it but somehow I will :D
Reese Rivera it gets easier. Every time you get behind the wheel every time you back up it's a little easier the next time. I don't think anybody expects you to be able to drive with 0 experience or just because you have a CDL, that just means you can start real life training. Good luck if you can pass a DOT physical and the DMV test that you can retake a number of times. You can do it, if you couldn't there wouldn't be so many people doing it. Grind it till you find it lol..
I drove a semi for a while but I had to give it up. I would have become a serial killer or developed an ulcer. The nonsense and utter stupidity you see in this video happened constantly. As a driver I was constantly on edge. To top it off I would too often hear from car drivers that truck drivers were assholes and didn't know how to drive. In my experience drivers of large trucks are very good drivers.
mrfester42 , most are but being a trucker since 1979 I have to say that today there are a large number of stupid truckers also, more than 40 years ago !!
The only thing that gets me about truckers is when they cut people off to pass another truck and go 15 miles under the speed limit in the fast lane. I see it all the time. And truckers cutting other truckers off with feet to spare.
I haven't seen any of that myself but I don't doubt what you say. My guess, although I don't really know for sure, is that they do that to vent a bit because driving a big rig is maddening if you don't have a laid back personality. In my experience moist people don't know the rules of the road. Most of the time that's not a problem but when there is a questionable situation that's when people drive like assholes and put others in danger or do other things that make people crazy. I ALWAYS give big rig drivers the benefit of the doubt. I never cut them off (or anyone else for that matter) or drive too close or do other things that can make them crazy because I know what a hard job it is. For many, many other jobs there are plenty of times you can daydream for a moment here or a few minutes there but you CANNOT do that when you're driving. You have to be alert every minute and that is very hard to do. It's like with cops. I don't like cops. NOT because I think they're bad people but because most of my interactions with them have been tense. (I'm a law abiding citizen and have never been in trouble other than the very occasional traffic infraction.) I think they see much more of the bad side of people which tends to make them jaded. That tends to make them act like jerks. Not doing anything corrupt but just a general attitude of superiority. I let it slide. It's the same with truckers.
For the second one, emergency vehicles are most to always an exception in situations. Plus the driver saw they were turning and had already moved over to give them room to get onto the highway.
Exactly. The firetruck had come to a stop in the median. Once the trucker pulled onto the hard shoulder the firetruck continued his turn. It only used 1.5 lanes to do so. The idiot trucker was simply being a drama queen.
@@MikeDCWeld I don't know where this incident took place but where I live the law is pull over and stop. Rechecking the video the only thing I noticed is the driver with the camera didn't stop. Pax
@@rduff1999 please provide a citation for that law. Many people are under the impression that they are required to stop when they merely need to yield as necessary.
@@MikeDCWeld he outright said he is referring to his area. It varies form place to place, and even varies in some places based on the type of road. Regardless though, so long as you make a "good faith effort" the leos probably won't bother with you. I personally did not expect the trucker to stop cus well... loaded truck. The firetruck driver knew his truck and knew he had the room to go once mr trucker took the shoulder as he was required to do.
Almost every Civic driver I have see has been a spoiled teenage girl that doesn't know jack shit about driving. I've seen a whole bunch of these girls texting while driving to.
@jamie turnage don't tell people that. If they are that stupid let them get run over I personally like watching the trucks hit cars that break check them. What you can tell the truckers is stop jerking the wheel to miss the break checkers and hitting someone else.
I see a lot of people commenting on the second clip where the truck driver was in the wrong for not slowing down and not giving the firetruck enough right away, but notice the truck driver immediately moved to the side of the road when he saw the firetruck was coming across the emergency crossing, and was slowing down. Also notice how the firetruck began to straighten out when it was half way across the left lane when it had plenty of room to continue turning(the driver cranked the wheel when he realised that the truck couldn't slow down fast enough to give room and the firetruck heaved pretty aggressively from such a sharp turn). Emergency vehicles have the right of when when theres an emergency, however they are also tasked with making sure all vehicles on the road are safe, and they are driving safely to prevent any accidents
Easton Stone apparently you do not realize what it takes to bring an 80k lb loaded truck and trailer to a stop. In perfect driving conditions on dry roads it takes the length of 3 football fields (at 50) mph to come to a complete stop. So you are incorrect... the truck driver did the only the he could at such close range to the firetruck... he took the shoulder while slowing down. Learn something about semis before you go talking about things you clearly lack knowledge of
@@Master_Yin I think you should reread my comment and realize I was saying the truck driver wasnt at fault for not slowing down quicker. Cuz obviously a semi with a trailer isnt going to stop immediately. Read before you comment
Truck driver had enough time to see emergency lights and truck turning to slow down and pull right. He pulled right but did not slow down enough! That's bull! I wonder if he is trying to create drama for his dash-cam
Gold Psychic thing is that car would have been fine if the trucker didn’t turn in the same direction the civic was going in, in a matter of fact, had the truck turned right instead of left the civic would have been fine and all would have been on their merry way. Yes the civic shouldn’t have turned in, but wouldn’t common sense say don’t move in the direction the other car is going?
@@InfamousX1000 What are you talking about? Lol. It was a semi-truck. It wasn't turning, it was trying to slam it's breaks on, but semi-trucks can't get themselves stopped quickly. It's not possible. 100% the cars fault for going when the truck had the right of way.
@@InfamousX1000 he was turning to avoid hitting the idiot at he completely blocked the trucks trajectory. Even if the truck continued on a straight path, he would have hit the car's rear as the car was already too far out given how close the truck was.
@@InfamousX1000 yes everything would have been fine until 5 miles down the road where this driver would see a train crossing down and deside to pass meanwhile a train hits the car
I live in Kentucky, and I've never even had to take a driver's Ed class. Not saying that I'm a bad driver(since I drive for a living), but if you get your license when you are 18, you just take the test, and then in 6 months, another test, and they give you your full license.
SCHY MARK But a Semi can't be stopped in a second. Semi-trucks have air brakes.. if you push the brakes extremely hard on a 50MPH or higher... You can set the tires on fire.
Just because a person drives an emergency vehicle doesn't give them cart blanche to drive recklessly. They can and often are found at fault for causing an accident.
on number 4, it was not the truckers fault, it was that cars fault for not looking both ways. if the truckers got the ticket for wreak, he/she should go to court and fight the ticket, and get the dash cam video and show it.
Try again. At 4:44 both the car driver and Semi-Truck driver are at Fault. First, car did not Yield to traffic. Second, if the Semi truck driver would have simply stayed in his lane or swerve to the right side, might have, could have avoided an accident. But at the very least, by staying in his lane or going into shoulder lane, s/he would not be considered 50% at Fault, by swerving to the Left. Swerving and Veering off into the opposing lane to your Left makes you 50% to 99% at Fault for the accident you are supposedly trying to avoid. You have only these options, slow down while staying in your own lane of traffic or if can be done safely, swerve or veer to the Right or any other lane going in same direction, pull over to the right shoulder of the road or STOP immediately as possible or all the above i mentioned. But going into opposing lanes is usually 90% the worse thing you can do. Plus, to stop effectively, pump your brakes everytime you want to stop, you will stop sooner and more effectively with less lss of control of your vehicle.
The first guy seems to think that he is so tough looking blocking a semi, but what he doesn’t realize is that it looks looks like he’s compensating for a lack of length in the crouch region.
4:45 OH there is a giant semi truck coming Should I let it pass? Nah! Let's drive in coz I have VTEC under my civic's hood! I should be fine. **3 seconds later**
I had a suicidial person on a sports bike, do the same thing, more then plenty of time( 1/4 mile) to seeing my Large Yellow Chromed out Pete coming. He pulled out and immediately after disappearing underneath my hood popped up im guess 3" from my left fender. Im not sure what or how I didnt kill him.
When I’m driving near a semi I do whatever j can to make sure bad things don’t happen, I stay back three to our car lengths if I’m behind them, if I’m passing on a single lane I make sure I have ample time to pass so I don’t cut him off and get someone hurt, if I’m driving in more than one lane I don’t get in their blind spots, (they have more than any other type of vehicle) if they need to merge and don’t have a lot of lane left before it goes back into a single lane I slow down to let them through. If I’m in front I’m keeping a minimum of four car lengths ahead so if I have to stop he has time. If I respect them on the road theu will respect me in the road. I will never do whatever it takes to endure the safety of myself and those around me on the road. Regardless of what they are driving or riding. Driving is a privilege not a right if you don’t agree then don’t drive.
3-4 car lengths is nowhere near enough room for a truck to stop if you have to slam on the brakes. At highway speeds, a truck should be about a football field away from the vehicle in front.
simon dosser trust me us truckers appreciate it. My uncles and I say "if we show you respect on the road, please show us the same" Of course were just saying it out loud
Branden Hylton it would also depend on your speed, some of us can only go 65 in a 70 because that's as fast as our company will allow, while cars can go 70 in a 70 and most of the time don't...if you have this mentality I pray you don't have to stop suddenly with a truck 2-3 car lengths away. I hope this can help you have a better outlook
My other half is a truck driver and I spent many times on the road with him. Here are what we come across most. Drivers who are merging lane with a truck. They expect you to move out of their way. When there's plenty of space on the other lane we do that but if not...we stay in our lane and I had seen many of them squeeze their vehicles next to the rail guard. Semis are a heavy plus if their loads are heavy...braking is not as quick compared to smaller vehicles. Then there are those they go in front of us and then slow down not being conscious a semi truck is behind them. When it is our day off and I have to drive our car I stay away from semis. I have huge respect for truck drivers and for what they do. They are out there doing the work in any kind of weather making sure their delivery will arrive safe and on time. The many hundreds of miles they drive every day is not a joke.
It's got the fucking lights on you idiot . When emergency vehicles have their lights on u let them go. Why is he trying to.overtake a fire truck with it's lights on?
Danielle, slam the breaks? Are you stupid? The firetruck was visible from hundreds of meters away... The driver could've even let his truck roll-out without touching the breaks and it would've been fine, yet the driver insisted on trying to make a scene by continuing to drive the same speed.
The safest thing to do when you are pulling out on to the freeway and a semi truck is coming towards you is to let it pass you and then get on the freeway. They have the right away YOU DON'T. PLUS THEY ARE BIGGER THAN YOUR VEHICLES
Jeni Moore um no. I am able to get to speed of the highway long before a truck driver gets to me. I can see if you are in a country other than the US. Usually in the US there is a really long on ramp lane and if you aren't a stupid driver you can get in front of a truck safely.
Majority of the time drivers simply won't use that right pedal to get up to speed they expect you to slow down or move over to let them on. They don't realize in 2 seconds they could be going faster than we are if they just touch that fuel pedal
Jessica Ely where I live the ramps are very short and sometimes connected to off ramps so you have to speed up very very quickly all while watching if people are getting off as well as the ones already on the highway. It’s terrible. It sucked when I had a slow truck lol
Well done for numbering each clip - it shows the compiler has taken care to identify the clips & not throw them together like other cheesy channels. 😀👍
Drivers like these, is the reason why I respect big rig drivers.. I let them have the road, why? Cuz they have to pretty much LIVE in them, missing their loved ones and maybe a social life.. it's the least I can do for them. YIELD.Thanks for the upload dude❤Lily❤
@@Ownz1982 If you're merging into the lane that I occupy, you yield to me. I am not legally or morally obligated to make space for you. Sit down, 4 wheeler.
On the first clip with the white truck if I was driving the semi, I would have just dropped back to a six second count behind and waited for the weird situation to pass. I have a CDL and I know that, unfortunately, the responsibility falls on the guy driving the 80,000 pound truck with trailer.
That is what I do, too. Slow down and let them get far away from me. You won't lose that much time. Better safe than an accident. Ya ever notice, people are in a big hurry to pass a truck, but when you get to the next traffic light, you both are waiting together.
The responsibility part is the ideal. Unfortunately the blame has always been the driver of the truck. Thank goodness now days, we have dash cams and lawyers for truckers. This vid is tame compared to others I've seen where people in cars are being complete moronic assholes, brake checking and cutting off truckers for whatever inane reasons.
Depends on your countries laws here in Australia if a car brake checks a truck or if the accident is the fault of the car driver the truckie isn't to blame thank god for dashcams
I think some drivers need to drive a large vehicle to see the problems we go through. Just one case I was not allowed to pass a car in a 100 km area as they though 80 km was fast enough for a school bus as I could only do 95 km max. This went on for 50 klm. Keep up the good work and use all your defensive driving skills.
La Vern Simkins 100km area means an area that takes up 100km, and klm isn't a unit. Kph means kilometres per hour, km means kilometres. Learn your units!
Robert Dorman the problem with that is that the are way more morons filling that safety margin than there are miles between you and the vehicle in front of you 😞.
The last one is a good example of this. The truck driver is driving at very high speed by the looks of it and also has a very small following distance. I cannot see how it was the fault of the white car. EDIT: I just watched it again and it's definitely the trucker's fault. You can clearly see the car in front of him taking his foot off the gas as he comes to the side opening.
Stew but you can hear the Jake brake which means the trucker let off his gas too but that doesn’t mean the idiot is going to make a last second turn with no blinker.
He should've indicated, yes. He was an idiot. The safety distance still wasn't there, and that's the truck driver's fault. There should've been enough room to safely slow down even in the event of a sudden stop of the car in front, obviously. Are there really that many drivers that will try to fill that gap? When I over take trucks here in Germany, I usually overtake the car in front of them too and then merge back onto the right lane, I'd never think of merging between a truck and the car in front of it, unless there was at least a few hundred meters of distance in between. I don't drive Semis, but I do drive ambulances and medium sized busses, and I very rarely get cut off badly enough to have to slow down significantly. And if it happens, I do just that: Give the idiot the room they need and be over with it. Only happens once every 10 miles or so, anyway.
the person in the Honda civic coupe was so dump to pull out in front of a big rig and I thought there got what was coming to them for being dump acting
Obviously not as often as they should. And all the jack wagons saying the white car is at fault? Who of the two is a "pro" and able to understand following distance?
People never realized how big Trucks are! they're so heavy loaded, that they need time to Slow Down. & it's so easy to Smash those little cars. Drive Smart not stupid people.!
You have to yield to trucks, they could easily be hauling a 30K pound load. If I merge in front of one, I always make sure there's plenty of room, then hit my blinker and count to 3 before starting to merge.. gives them time to see and understand my intentions.
I am astonished how well a Civic stood up to being broadsided by a semi moving at speed. I would have expected the driver's seat to be pushed out the passenger door. That driver may have lived... looks like there was movement in the Civic after the truck driver got out. Oh, how much I wish I had horns like 6:36 to use when people cut off or do a U-turn right in front.
We want to get down the road safely just like you do.a semi truck needs a football field to stop from 60mph.The zone we have in front of our truck and the next vehicle is how much room we need to stop. There are also blind sides in the side where we can not see you and you don't want to hang out there to long either.Spread the word of safety.
Just remember that in a car, you have better maneuverability. Us that agility to get behind them, and let the trucks go on ahead. A truck can see farther than you and takes longer to stop, so if you see the truck putting on brakes you should too. Just make sure to leave enough room between you and the truck in front of you
@wnc817 in every comment section theres *ALWAYS ATLEAST ONE MORONIC DUMBASS* that ties race relations into a video or subject that *HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE.* *Congrats to being that DUMBASS guy.*
When it comes to stopping, it's impossible to know how another truck will stop... While there are the clueless drivers all over the highways, a lot of people do know that trucks have issues stopping. However, in reality, the stopping distance depends on both the weight of the load, and the type of load. Fully loaded (close to gross), and completely empty combinations don't stop very well. That's a given... But how 'bout a full load of tires, with a gross weight of only 55,000 pounds as an example? Now add a tail gater that relies on the trucks supposed inability to stop quickly... Someone pulls out in front of the truck, the truck stops, and the tail gater who hit the brakes at the same time as the truck driver did, finds himself needing a new car because he tried removing the ICC bumper with his hood. The truck just stopped quicker than a top fuel funny car because it had the perfect load. So, don't count on a truck being able to stop, and also don't count on a truck NOT being able to stop, either. Just give it room in all directions, and you'll be doing yourself, and everyone else, a favor by doing so.
Andre Smith Brother yes if we are going 60 mph , and even if going down a grade we can control our speed by using common sense , don’t wait till you’re going down to start slowing down lol you do that before you crest the hill. No reason for all these accidents and BS on the road everybody needs to be using a brain 🧠.
That is STILL not enough room!! If you pull in front that close after passing me, I have to react as if you might "brake check" me, and I might even sound the horn, so please give us more room, thanks.
I was taught that if you can't see the entire truck from mirror to mirror, bumper to roof in your own rearview mirror then you are to close to get back in front of them. That usually ends up giving plenty of room between me and the semi. I hope.
TH3C001 i would just like to point out that if the semi is in the RIGHT lane and you are in the LEFT lane with a small car or van. when you are able to see both headlights YOU CAN SEE THE ENTIRE TRUCK. I am putting this in caps since youtube doesn't have italics.
They _do_ have italics actually, and it's awesome, you just need to put underscores at the begining and end of the word you are putting in italics sorta like this _ example _ but without the spaces. Anyway, yeah, I catch your drift.
JBwrath ain't that the truth. When I started driving I got myself a dashcam and would share videos of drivers not paying attention or doing dumb shit on facebook. After awhile my friends asked why I haven't post anything anymore and told them that this is almost a everyday thing and not suprised anymore.
your a dumbarse the truck driver pulled into the side lane hundreds of meters before the fuckhead in the fire truck endangered the lives of the other firefighters and the truck driver.
Any emergency vehicle does not have the right to cause more accidents in order to get to an accident. They have a responsibility to use common sense and safety when driving no matter how many little red lights they have flashing. I worked in the police. We still had to stop for red lights, or were supposed to, check the way was clear, and then proceed and it had to be done in a fully marked car, not undercover.

How are you confused by this?
jfsa380
I don't give a crap if I have to be behind anyone.
I've been going 70 for the last 4 hours, and yet these four wheelers are baffled by constant speed.
jfsa380 Four wheelers? You mean cars?
MFXdump ever wonder how they even passed the license test? I got an 81

They pulled their Truck as far over as they could without going off road, which can be far more risky to do in a Semi.

+mrfester42 There is a lot of drivers that have done the same as you I'm just waiting for the right moment and I'm gone too.
Then truck driving is not for you. Youre not a good enough driver to be one.
mrfester42 , most are but being a trucker since 1979 I have to say that today there are a large number of stupid truckers also, more than 40 years ago !!
(I'm a law abiding citizen and have never been in trouble other than the very occasional traffic infraction.)
I think they see much more of the bad side of people which tends to make them jaded.
Absolutely it was definitely an overreaction on the second driver with that fire truck.
Exactly. The firetruck had come to a stop in the median. Once the trucker pulled onto the hard shoulder the firetruck continued his turn. It only used 1.5 lanes to do so. The idiot trucker was simply being a drama queen.

never ever slow down or put on your breakes on the hwy.that my friends will get you killed in front of these big riggs
jamie turnage Especially pulling over in front of one coming up to a stop light just because his lane has less cars in it. ( From a driver’s wife.)
@jamie turnage don't tell people that. If they are that stupid let them get run over I personally like watching the trucks hit cars that break check them. What you can tell the truckers is stop jerking the wheel to miss the break checkers and hitting someone else.
And for the love of god learn to merge lol
In front of anything, really
You take a break at work. You apply your brakes to slow down.
I never knew windshield wipers could fly! -_-
Mark A Tackett yeah, when you get slammed into by a semi trucks it's possible
Leo when you're getting slammed into by a semi anything is possible lol
Indeed
Mark A Tackett Sorta like pigs
But that wasn't a windshield wiper
Easton Stone yep, you’re right... mis-read what you were trying to say there. (Looked like *you* had said the truck driver was in the wrong).
@@Master_Yin no worries, simple misunderstanding
Truck driver had enough time to see emergency lights and truck turning to slow down and pull right. He pulled right but did not slow down enough! That's bull! I wonder if he is trying to create drama for his dash-cam
4:47 "Hey Pal, you just blow in from Stupid Town?"
Elderly driver, i think.
And here I am having anxiety when I'm next to a semi, especially when turning.
4:47 - I feel really bad for that driver.
What? No! The truck driver, not the car driver.
R.J. Lupin lol
R.J. Lupin why would that driver pull out in front of a semi!!!
If we could add truck education to basic drivers Ed...
Pity the truckers did not have lessons in commonsense, most of them were going to fast
Sein Maestro bitches like you would never be allowed to drive
Joseph Miles what do you know about the speed limits on those roads. They can't brake fast enough to avoid the driver.
I live in Kentucky, and I've never even had to take a driver's Ed class.
Not saying that I'm a bad driver(since I drive for a living), but if you get your license when you are 18, you just take the test, and then in 6 months, another test, and they give you your full license.
Sein Maestro they mention trucks I think. And even if they don’t. It’s common sense, more weight more time to stop.
If the Emergency Vehicle has the lights and sirens on ALL others have to give right of way
SCHY MARK exactly, the truck driver clearly didn't slow down until the fire truck began his turn. A lot of people are missing that.
Just because you have emergency lights doesn't mean that a semi can stop on a dime. Use some common sense.
They can and often are found at fault for causing an accident.
badlandskid true but the moment he saw the lights the slowdown and get over should have been a faster response
2:33 that why your supposed to pull over to the right and slow down
That’s what he did but semi trucks don’t stop fast at all
on number 4, it was not the truckers fault, it was that cars fault for not looking both ways. if the truckers got the ticket for wreak, he/she should go to court and fight the ticket, and get the dash cam video and show it.
...point less comment
Lance Volkenant the truck could roll and still hit the car
Cody, you must be a detective. I don't think anyone else would of came to that conclusion without your wisdom.
I agree. Lance isn't too bright.
4:45-Ou don't worry it's just a massive truck, that wont completely demolish our tiny car...
Sam Maill I kind of feel bad for the fucker but at the same time makes me realize he was probably on a phone because no one can ignore a huge truck.
Daniel Ramos I kinda feel sorry for him too but it is his fault and I feel more sorry for the trucker since for all he knew he'd just killed somebody.
You underestimate the incompetence of the average driver. You underestimate it greatly.
degree7 I don't think so
Sam Maill he dident kill them lots of survival space in the vehicle.
The first guy seems to think that he is so tough looking blocking a semi, but what he doesn’t realize is that it looks looks like he’s compensating for a lack of length in the crouch region.
It takes a special kind of stupid to play chicken with fifty tons of steel
4th clip did that on purpose. Look how slow they pulled out.... I was almost as if they paused once halfway into the intersection.
That was my thought. Additionally I thought it troubling that no one jumped out to see if either the trucker or the driver was ok.
4:45 OH there is a giant semi truck coming
Should I let it pass? Nah! Let's drive in coz I have VTEC under my civic's hood!
I should be fine.
**3 seconds later**
Right!? I couldn't believe the driver was even moving after that hit... Those are some airbags!
If the driver didn't wait the 3 seconds s/he could of made it. But should of just waited for a safer opening.
Air bag test!
That impact tho was so hard that if u see closely it literally took the rubber off its foundation on the windshield wipers.
My uncles and I say "if we show you respect on the road, please show us the same"
Of course were just saying it out loud
Branden Hylton it would also depend on your speed, some of us can only go 65 in a 70 because that's as fast as our company will allow, while cars can go 70 in a 70 and most of the time don't...if you have this mentality I pray you don't have to stop suddenly with a truck 2-3 car lengths away.
I hope this can help you have a better outlook
Thank you, we appreciate you

Thank you. :-)
The fire truck definitely had the right...if you were scanning ahead...you'd have seen it
Nope.
yeah he have a right/priority on other vehicle but have to drive coreclty
The semi can’t just slam on his breaks, the emergency vehicle should’ve let the semi pass and then gone
If you don’t come across a total schmo in your driving journeys at least once a day, you probably stayed home.
Yep. You are correct.
I only drive about 150mi/ day including work driving, but I see a lot more than just one idiot!
too true😂
You mean if you don't come across a bad driver then you're the bad driver.
Luckly I drive nights less cars but still occasionally I see dumb drivers
The safest thing to do when you are pulling out on to the freeway and a semi truck is coming towards you is to let it pass you and then get on the freeway. They have the right away YOU DON'T. PLUS THEY ARE BIGGER THAN YOUR VEHICLES
Jeni Moore um no. I am able to get to speed of the highway long before a truck driver gets to me. I can see if you are in a country other than the US. Usually in the US there is a really long on ramp lane and if you aren't a stupid driver you can get in front of a truck safely.
Her Vtech didn't kick in
Majority of the time drivers simply won't use that right pedal to get up to speed they expect you to slow down or move over to let them on. They don't realize in 2 seconds they could be going faster than we are if they just touch that fuel pedal
Especially if you are a shit driver in a shit vehicle like that one.
Jessica Ely where I live the ramps are very short and sometimes connected to off ramps so you have to speed up very very quickly all while watching if people are getting off as well as the ones already on the highway. It’s terrible. It sucked when I had a slow truck lol

@@bobpeg7457 people always seem to be in a rush to go wait
The responsibility part is the ideal. Unfortunately the blame has always been the driver of the truck. Thank goodness now days, we have dash cams and lawyers for truckers. This vid is tame compared to others I've seen where people in cars are being complete moronic assholes, brake checking and cutting off truckers for whatever inane reasons.
I know. I'm a student driver and with crazy people like that who are unpredictable, always safer to hang back. Stay away from them.
Depends on your countries laws here in Australia if a car brake checks a truck or if the accident is the fault of the car driver the truckie isn't to blame thank god for dashcams
I drive a fire engine and that driver of the second clip was just plain stupid to pull out like that with no due care.
And specially when you drive on city and you have that 3m blind spot every where and suddently you drive over child because you didn't see
I think some drivers should just watch where they are going or be banned from driving.
La Vern Simkins thank you for doing your job!
La Vern Simkins 100km area means an area that takes up 100km, and klm isn't a unit. Kph means kilometres per hour, km means kilometres. Learn your units!
Stay safe driving out there!

Blind spot being their head.
As a truck driver myself I make sure I have way more following distance that some of these drivers. Gotta leave yourself an out.
Spec you shouldn't compare yourself (A German driver) to a North American driver.
In America anyone can get a drivers licence hahaha

You have to yield to trucks, they could easily be hauling a 30K pound load. If I merge in front of one, I always make sure there's plenty of room, then hit my blinker and count to 3 before starting to merge.. gives them time to see and understand my intentions.

That's good. I hate when a car decides to drive next to me for an hour blinding me with there lights in my mirror. Dont drive next to us, go away!
Just remember that in a car, you have better maneuverability. Us that agility to get behind them, and let the trucks go on ahead. A truck can see farther than you and takes longer to stop, so if you see the truck putting on brakes you should too. Just make sure to leave enough room between you and the truck in front of you

The driver with the blue car didn't even look
Now you're advocating people take responsibility and use common sense, that just a totally unreasonable stance to take.
I am a trucker and on average it takes a truck the length of a football field to stop and that's just probably going on the road without any Hills
Andre Smith Brother yes if we are going 60 mph , and even if going down a grade we can control our speed by using common sense , don’t wait till you’re going down to start slowing down lol you do that before you crest the hill. No reason for all these accidents and BS on the road everybody needs to be using a brain 🧠.
this is why i always make sure i can see both headlights of a semi im passing before pulling infront of them again.
