Rust in peace is more of speed metal and prog metal. It's not exactly thrash

@@artkeelsme4710 Fast, heavy, and aggressive guitars. Mustaine not giving a fuck about what people say. Sounds pretty thrash to me. Rust in peace as an album has better riffs than most bands do in their entire career. The only reason I see people hating on Megadeth is because of Mustaine. Stop being biased and actually listen to the music itself.

For me Ride the Lightning will always be the best, but Rust in Peace is up there definitely and I see why a lot of people feel that way.
Tornado Of Souls has to be next, absolutely stunning music. Hangar 18 is really nice too.

Jaf there is no way this thrash....this is very difficult speed metal, if anything. This has way more in common with Iron Maiden than slayer or Sepultura.
@@RonSteinroth It's thrash metal and is listed as such in every single piece of information about it. Megadeth is a thrash metal band and just because they don't sound like another band doesn't mean they don't fit the genre.

Five Magics is so damn underrated. It's on this album as well and is just so damn fun!
Of all the metal god level bands that were born in the 80's, Megadeth are my favorite. There's always some degree of melodic nuance to their sound no matter how heavy it gets. Also explains why later in life Melodic Death became my go to genre of metal. Definitely should check out more. "Dread and the Fugitive Mind" is one of my favorites that rarely gets any love. Great reaction man 🤘
Go to Hell, or Architecture of Aggression are two songs that are awesome and get no love.
You should try neoclassical metal, I heard it on a whim and along with thrash and some death metal are my favorite sub-genres.

The original version sounds better than the Remaster 2004.

I went to a show back in the 90's called Clash of the Titans.Alice inChains,Anthrax, Slayer then Megadeth. Megadeth kinda blew everybody else off the stage. One hell of a show.

Damn dude that was a fun one! I had flashbacks of shredding Guitar Hero in my buddies basement. Hangar 18 on expert was the special sauce! I always wished we could have seen what Metallica would have become if Dave Mustaine stayed as their guitarist.
That record is a thrash metal MASTERPIECE dude. hands down. late 80s into early 90s was my favorite era.....Nothing like it since

If you haven't heard Take No Prisoners yet you should. It comes right after Hangar 18 on the album and it just gets faster. Rust in Peace is a musical masterpiece from start to finish.

Dude, Megadeth put 6 albums in a row where every single song is a banger. Not one bad song. That's 15 years of straight bangers. Dave Mustain and Dave Ellefson are incredible. Think about that. They had one bad album, and then bangers again. Check out Good Morning Black Friday from Peace Sells album, there second album. By the way there first album is Killing is my Business and Business is Good. Low budget and Amazing. True inventor of Thrash. On a side note Dave wrote most if the Riffs on Metallicas kill them all. Yes Dave inveted Thrash.
