    Pleased to hear about Deepak and MMY. I have had years of guilt and confusion about dropping out of being a TM teacher and going my own way. I once experienced Maharishi's super normal ability to instantly fill me with love so intense I thought I would explode - in a situation which I still do not really understand. I still cannot rationalise my knowledge of him as this extraordinary man who I am in awe of like no one else I have ever encountered, and the Cult thing and money obsession which I gradually could no longer swallow. Notwithstanding these contradictions I still use the full TM Sidhis programme every day because its the personal transformation that matters when all is said and done.

    They learned what they could from each other. Maharishi should have honored Deepaks "feeling" that he should of leave, rather than threaten & make him feel guilty, what kind of example of love is that? Love, spirituality is not competitive...you have to trust your "intuition" on these things. I would have felt negative energy as well. Good decision Deepak....walk away.

    Deepak met all the celebrities through the Maharishi's organization. He was able to write his first few books and have an audience because of Maharishi. Then when his book Ageless Body Timeless Mind hit #1 best seller on NY times he left Maharishi. I feel he wanted to be a famous writer from the start. I agree with all the cultish tendencies of the TMO, but if it was not for Maharishi Deepak would still be working as a traditional doctor and would have never met celebrities or have been able to make the name he has for himself. He fails to admit this because of a very strong ego. He should be thankful for all he has experiened. When I worked for him I remember a sales meeting where one of the order takers was happy that he had sold so many tape sets of his product. His reponse "That's like pissing in the Ocean". I thought... o boy... here we go again. And when I wrote a song for him from the bonus check he gave us one year his reply about the song was "Good job". He may be educated but he's not the most sensitive person in the world. He could have at least let me sing the song at one of his seminars. My point: He only wants to help himself and his immediate family members. He will use anyone for this. That is not spirituality motivated by purity of heart. Refined intellect yes. Purity of heart no...........

    • @maryanengland240
      @maryanengland240 7 лет назад

      Not sure about this, but if he ever had been interested in enlightenment, it would seem to have been put on the back burner!
      It appears to have been trumped by ego, in this case, as in several other notable cases.
      Basically, you can't ride two horses at the same time, nor travel two paths simultaneously with any efficiency.
      In Christian terms, one cannot worship God and Mammon.
      It all says the same thing in different ways

    • @maryanengland240
      @maryanengland240 7 лет назад

      Louis, one of the reasons for the apparent "cultish tendencies" within the TMO (as I see it, anyway) is that it is organised by ordinary people, trying to do an extraordinary taskand i so doing, not loose the purity of the teaching. THat is, to keep in tact the unbelievable wealth of knowledge that Maharishi left to the world, in particular, the techniques the enable all humans to develop their consciousness, reflected in growing qualities of the heart, the intellect, the spirit, the physiology.
      Such knowledge disintegrates over time. But the goal of Maharishi was to leave a system which would make it possible for all who wished to grow in thes qualities, to have an effective technique to speed their path. Hence the focus on scientific research to ensure there was modern day understanding of the ancient Knowledge.
      My recollection is, that if something from the East did not stand up to scientific (Western) scrutiny, he needed to re examine it, to see why and vice versa. Western Knowledge also needed to be able to be verified by Eastern Knowledge.
      Knowledge is absolute.
      It is not the same as information.
      That is my understanding, anyway.

    Since my previous comments I have been reflecting. When all is said and done the surface issues of human life will always be contradictory even with the wisest. The depth of our inner experience is all that matters. There are many wise men out there but my 'inner' teacher is the only one I now listen to. As knowledge expands, the confusion of partial knowledge gradually gets clarified "like the story of the snake and the stick" so we become wiser. I have great respect for all who embark on the journey back home and take on the responsibility (and pain) of seeing the "mess" of mass consciousness that runs the world - or at least appears to.

    • @maryanengland240
      @maryanengland240 7 лет назад

      Maharishi always said to do exactly as you are saying here.
      The TM Technique is simply a way to "effortlessly, efficiently & reliably" do just that.
      The technique is so subtle, that it is easy to "mishandle" it, without knowing. Then one does not get the results, because one is not actually doing it.
      Hence the suggestion that people have regular checking - it sort of realigns the technique & makes sure you are getting what you paid for.

Or rather a month and have an ayuaskha treatment within that time to work through my issues with him. He is extremely awe inspiring . There is no1 else alive on this earth who inspires me m kmmk me more rn. The world would benefit so much from his teachings. Especially when you consider his credentials as a Md. Amd spiritual leader as well . The best of bothe worlds when you think about it

    I now realise it was nothing Maharishi was doing to me. I was lacking in love and somehow he was the catalyst (my comment below). What I see in this world is if you want truth about something you follow the money in these kitsch New Age movements developed in affluent times in the 60's to 90's for the boomer babies. Deepak is deeply into the banking side of consciousness as was MMY. There is truth however to be extracted if you are selective enough. I was dangled on a hook for a long time while money was extracted and promises were never delivered. You could say I learned by 'peeing on the electric fence' to quote Will Rogers. In the end you find your own way with a good dose of scepticism about anything you have not experienced. I am currently a fan of Thaddeus Golas and his book Love &Pain. Read it for a different vision.

      "Deepak is deeply intothe banking side of consciousness as was Maharishi".
      Now I cannot say for sure about Deepak, though his track record would indicate to me you are correct.
      However I can most definitely refute this in the case of Maharishi.
      Some of those who surrounded him, possibly.
      The man himself? Absolutely no truth in your statement.
      I can assure you of that.

    Chopra has a narrative to tell where he is the center of attention at all times. He tells stories where he is Forrest Gump: in the center of it all. The story is true but Deepak may or may not have been the person actually there. Once you realize that, you can enjoy him as a master story teller. One thing that he never mentions is how he rewrote all his books to delete any reference to Maharishi, and rewrote his own importance and knowledge, often substituting himself for Maharishi. A poser.
