I can only tell you what happened to me. I wasn't really spiritual but I found a book by Louise Hay and started listening to her meditations on RUclips every night while falling asleep. I'd of tried anything for a full night's sleep! I was on metajet injections, hydroxycloroquine, folic acid, a sleep inducing antidepressant(I can't remember what it's called)Occasional steroid injections and other pain meds. It took me 3hrs to get up and get ready for work. I was exhausted and fatigued 24/7 .I started feeling better in 2 weeks from the fibromyalgia. It took about a year to feel fully well from RA and I had 1 flare up after about 18 months which was not to bad, it lasted about 6 weeks and I've not had any symptoms since. I have not had any treatment or meds for 3 years. I can't say hand on heart 100% that this was the reason for my recovery but I really believe that it is. I have been on a quest to find out how this happened and have meditated almost every day since. I've had lots of profound thing happen on this spiritual journey I feel 30 years younger! I do know how you suffer so I send to you all my sincere love, healing and peace ❤x

Superb conversation. "Conciously choose freedom from the conditioned mind." I remember the first time I heard Dr. Chopra in the mid-late 1980's - was driving my car, and had to pull off the road to pay attention to this amazing person who was articulating my current "crazy"beliefs. Had gone through pre-med in college, intending to go to medical school, but switched to wildlife biology after becoming very disappointed and disenchanted with western medical approach to disease and the (absence of understanding) healing. The traditional cultures of India and others have embodied and retained this better than the west. Glad that, despite the corruption and collusion by the AMA, Big Pharma, Big Insurance, Big Agriculture, the FDA, NIH, and Medical Schools, that the remaining bits of traditional knowledge and wisdom are being resurrected and reflected upon and slowly re-introduced to the world by those really committed to health and healing. They are routinely vilified by their colleagues, but also verified by science and the insights of meditation.

41:42 min Deepak talks about Gratitude Journaling.. It is so much truth in it. Accidentally I came across this gratitude journaling technique 7 years ago while watching Oprah Winfrey videos and I started writing it every day since then ( so many journal books in my cupboard now :). Slowly the life seems so much wonderful now, I see everything as a opportunity and peace slowly dawns upon in spite of so many things happening around me. Also I once met Deepak Chopra in Atlanta redeemer church in 2017 to attend a talk and after the talk i got a chance to meet him while he is signing his book You are the Universe. The impression he left on me is wordless. He has so much love towards people. Thank You Deepak for your selfless works for the humanity. Special Thanks to Dr Rangan for brining this to every one in the world.

Ranganji thanks you so much for this podcast with Dr Chopra. I’ve taken away so much homework from this which I actually happily want to do. I love how profound Dr Chopra went into our existential reality. Being a Kashmiri Pandit forcefully displaced out of Kashmir as a young child in the 90’s, impacted so much of my reality. Even though I live in the UK, the child version of me still roams in Kashmir. I sometimes have vivid memories or dreams/ I really can’t tell at those times who am I.. And Yet when I look back, it really seems like a dream but it has had so much impact on me and my family. This episode really makes me question so many things. It wasn’t really a bad or good experience, it just took hold of who I became. A person looking for security in every sense of the word.

Dr. Chaterjees point of view is so helpful to me personally. Dr. Chopras description of doctors abusing alcohol and cigarettes reminds me of what I experienced as a young law student, watching other students get totally drunk to relieve stress. It really disgusted me at the time. I'm not claiming to be perfect, but made it my goal to not abuse alcohol , drugs or tobacco as a stress reliever. Also, there is so much to be said for understanding who you are and societal conditioning. All of these social constructs are currently toxic and unhealthy not just for human beings but all life on the planet. The first being an exploitative economic system that creates systemic poverty of the majority of the population and allows the unbridled hoarding of wealth by a tiny minority. We need to change so much to get back to our true selves.

My existence and every other existence are finite projections of the Infinite like waves in the ocean. 1. Yama · 2. Niyama · 3. Asana · 4. Pranayama · 5. Pratyahara · 6. Dharana · 7. Dhyana · 8. Samadhi are the steps of the inward journey to go back to the source.

Really glad the interviewer is pushing Deepak on the principle of “waking up”. I never quite understood what Deepak was on about all those years ago, Sadly
