    This guy is melding science and spirituality. He therefore takes this neutral stance and is on the side of the scientist. He is a perfect bridge to help the scientist that has not believed in spirituality to begin to believe in that possibility in a real way. In this he is superb, perfect and totally excellent. All the 'spiritual' people posting here criticising him are obviously totally missing this essential value. The very spiritual person doesn't really 'need' to hear this. The unspiritual scientist does. Perhaps his frustration is centered in the hoard of people that are opposing his every noble effort? If so I am one that will project good thoughts to him to offer insight into the short sightedness of others and deliver him from that.

    Once we begin to "wake up," it is astounding how our priorities change. What used to be so important to us - like getting more "stuff" in this material world, or trying to feed our shallow egos by winning an argument - slowly loses it's pull until we barely notice them any more. And the main thing we now “see” is the fundamental, all-important consciousness within each of us. The rest is window dressing.

    This is why all our spiritual leaders tell us to "go inside" and feel for the truth of who we are. One can intellectually understand a spiritual concept and even be convinced that it's based in truth, but they can never "know" (for themselves) whether it really is true (they will have their doubts) until they bypass their beliefs and reflect on that concept from the objective stance of what lies beneath all the mental efforts to keep an ego intact - a "space" of simply understanding w/out words

  • @MBTEVENTS
    @MBTEVENTS 12 лет назад +15

    To add a note: In Deepak's PBS series he stated that " reality is not only stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think" He suggested that the key was science, physics. I followed that and found My Big TOE by Tom Campbell, physicist and consciousness expert who began researching with Robert Monroe. His statement here that "your mind is not in your brain, it's everywhere" And, you are not your physical body, resonates with this work.

    No one can deny that when we heal naturally the physical body, we also heal the mind and the spirit. This talk is very interesting in the way it covers the concept to bring us to visualize how everything is interralated in the universe at the atomic level.

      i find this so funny cuz at the end of the day michelle big ass mouth and the others are just going to think. just like she had to think to write a comment. so dont pretend like you are on such a big deal level.( i take experiences and think about it.?....then you say take what applies in life and leave the rest (btw another thought) but you are also basically saying copy what evryone else does since we shouldnt think for ourselves. maybe since you have that state of mind you misunderstood what is meant by think for yourself. not in an egoistic way but rather in a way to say that you should come to your own conclusions and not always join the pack because its more comfortable!!!!!!!

    His thoughts are consistent with everything we learn in neuroscience, psychology and biology, coming from an Honors Student at the most difficult public university in one of the largest states in the U.S. Visionaries always garner haters. My one critique would be to say that the only parts of our brain that regenerate gray matter are in the hippocampus and the olfactory bulb. So maybe that's why our consciousness continues even though the rest of our cells die off and regenerate-because the actual neurons remain the same! Unless I missed something.
    But I understand and agree with the rest of what he said.

    Frustratingly, (because I'm full of ego and desire for control), every time I listen to these talks my mind begins piecing together the experiences of my life. Everything that has boggled me and left me full of fear, failures, pain takes on clarity. The sound of these videos takes a back seat to creativity, and that which seemed indecipherable and pointless, even chaotic, makes sense on another level. Put simply, it's like being colour blind to red, and given glimpses of it and it's potential to deeper experience. Some days I think I'm just not paying attention to whoever is speaking, until realizing the gift of this clarity. Folks who think in a more black and white way, which has it's place and I appreciate in others, are simply filtering the world and language with a different set of sensory equipment. (or colouring an interpretation with more or fewer crayons :) ). Grateful for the exposure to creative and open thinkers.

    Just to satisfy my own curiosity, a few questions for those making negative comments:
    What is it all of you do for a living? What level of education do you have? What qualifies you to express such critiques? Clearly, you speak from your vast experiences and knowledge. Please, impress us.

      Is one not allowed to have an opinion if they are questioning someone with Certificates and letters after their names? I know of a great many people who opted out of mainstream education....it doesn't make them any less equal.....same can be said for careers - There are plenty of Workers in the UK, who have been University educated and found the only jobs available to them, after years of study, are shop floor work or - zero contract hour fast food industry. Unless you're 'connected' these days, ANY job is a 'good' job
      As a human being, I see myself equal to everyone else on this planet - if I wish to compliment - or criticise, I feel there should be no barrier, either for me, or anyone else to do the same 👍

    As someone who sees energy in people, I see that Deeprak has a good heart though I think he lacks vulnerability and isn't as open- hearted in this video as the man who introduced him. When you are not open- hearted you tend to live 'in your head' which I believe is why Deeprak tends to make simple concepts appear so complicated!

I think the intellectually honest thing to do is to acknowledge this man's opinions and experiment with the concepts in our own lives. I've experienced much growth in all areas of my life with a world view closer to Deepak's than to the person who would call him a "snake oil merchant."

      Jebus dude what the fuck is your problem. why does it bother you what others believe? are you afraid to b wrong? youhaveno right to discredit anyone. basically you are telling people to believe facts from people who did their research and studied years. fair enough but still that dosent mean they are right. i see it like he is someone who has studied as well but has had experiences that others who studied, havent had leading him to the secret which scientists still cant find out. of course its dilusional if you have never seen or experienced it. he is speaking what he knows and what is still to come into realization. why would i believe scientists who back their claims with facts which were just given the name facts and cat even explain everything as oppose to someone who claims to actually have an answer which explains everything? keep following the close minded robot way of thinking and follow everyone else. true suffering men can rise against that shit and think for himself without following.

    As someone with classic scientific background and an interest in holistic approach to health I think he shares some valuable points. Some of it has already been proved and considered evidence-based medicine. I don't think he is a saint or 100% right about everything he says and it would make him a tad more credible if he simplified his talks and lost the belly. Enjoyed and had benefits from his work nonetheless. :)

    His answer about money is hard to process when Deepak himself is apparently worth $80 million. Why does he continue to stockpile money by charging for digital products and services which he could offer for free? They are full-fat prices as well that any regular, non-spiritual corporation would charge.

    • @SabrinaDacosta

      The real questions are these: why do we live in an era when everyone wants everything for free? Do you work for free? Why do you care what he is worth?

    • @yorkshireplumbing
      @yorkshireplumbing 7 лет назад

      The sun, the air is free... water and food used to be free. I guess people want free stuff because they aren't multi millionaires and have many financial pressures... Question is, why does someone with 80 million in bank want another 80 million? That's a question too.

    • @SabrinaDacosta
      @SabrinaDacosta 7 лет назад +1

      +utopiaopera Water and food used to be free over 2,000 years ago. We do not live in that era. Just because you have financial pressures just like most everybody else in the world does not mean anyone owes you free stuff. And as far as him having 80 millions in the bank - which is what seems to be your main issue - as long as you keep focused on what others have and how they should give you free stuff because of it you are going to keep having financial difficulties and block financial blessings.

    • @yorkshireplumbing
      @yorkshireplumbing 7 лет назад

      Hostly, you are really just scamming HARD to justify someone who is filthy rich to be filthy rich, AND, ask no one to question it and try and imbue it in a shield of shame inducing membrane.. all in an era when 50% of the entire world's wealth is in the hands of 8 people. I mean, honestly, what is your motivation to justify such selfish, hoarding interests!

    • @SabrinaDacosta
      @SabrinaDacosta 7 лет назад +3

      I am not justifying anything. I am trying to tell you to focus on yourself and not others. As long as you keep focusing on what others have and you do not have you come across as having a pity me and entitled attitude which does not lead you to anything good in life. The world does not owe you anything and the world will not change just because you want it to. The sooner you accept this fact the better off you will be in life

    Deepak Chopra, one of the prominent hallmarks of vaguely inexplicable pseudoscientific gibberish; conversely enough, a sensationalistic appeal, giving rapport to the masses lauded appeal to an external divine intervention, one riveted on emotions and not evidence. Trailing the evidence and dealing with the consequences regardless of personal biases, tends to protrude objective reasoning rather than subjective appeal to emotional desires. Conversely enough, the former has propagated generations of rapacious gullibility. A credulity riveted on emotions and viable to nothing more than prejudice of ideology.

    • @cesarvivas
      @cesarvivas 10 лет назад +14

      your comment is highfalutin gibberish. you could have said, "there is no science in his explanations just rhetoric."
      there is no fact finding in spirituality. do your fingers ask for proof of your hand before they believe in it? do you need proof that your parents are who they are down to video evidence of the moment of conception to know that your parents are your parents? do you need evidence that others exist, since you cant possibly know for sure, seeing as you only experience your own life? there is no way to know that we can trust what has been recorded from ancient times or even in a near contemporary time frame but we memorize detailed accounts as fact. we can only ever get a good idea. chopra is a spiritual man and has intertwined his love for science with his metaphysical notions. whats the problem? how else could someone describe something intrinsic to others without going into emotional anecdotes or rhetoric.
