This Unit has a dead display. It’s getting the correct voltage to the unit but won’t do anything else. There is a fuse that can blow which will kill power to all the electronics. This was the issue on this wall oven. Will show you how to test and replace this fuse.
Hope this helps give the video a like, subscribe and thanks for watching! Хобби
This video just saved me hundreds in service and repair fees. Thank you for sharing the information and your skills!
Thanks so much! Got the part using your link and solved the problem in matter of minutes! Also great info on why it happened... was seasoning cast iron at 500deg... was cold in the kitchen so thought I’d let that nice warm air do double duty and warm the place up, now I won’t do that again!!! Many thanks👍🏼
Very helpful. I think this is exactly what happened to our oven. Thanks for the great video!
This video just saved us a TON of money. THANK YOU, Bearded Appliance Repair!!!!
I have this exact model and set-up and I noticed the black screen today, so thank you for this video. I always leave my oven door open to help warm up the kitchen when it's cold. Won't be doing that anymore!! I already knew not use the self clean function (ruined my old oven doing that a lot, lol) I hope mine is just the fuse too!!
Excellent . Thank you for putting this up my oven works perfect , I took the old fuse out of my old oven , glad I saved the old oven for parts , subscribed !!
Thank you so much for your video! Just fixed my oven thanks to you! High Five! ✋🏼
Great video. Thanks very much. Love your delivery!
Thank you so much! Cooking a dish at 500 for 10 mins and left the door open afterwards to cool also (felt cold in the house and we were able to do this with our old oven)....know better now with your awesome video! 🙂 Thanks again!
Glad it helped!
This video is awesome! I had a dead oven and this video hit the nail on the head. Both the cause (oven door open to cool) and the effect (blown fuse) were exactly correct. It even linked me to the part to fix it. Fab, fab, fab! And thanks. BTW, wouldn’t it have been nice if the instructions mentioned not leaving the door open for cooling?
Excellent video that helped me fix our Kitchen Oven- Thank you!!!
Thank you!! Awesome video. Did the same thing and used high heat shut it off and left the oven door open as it was cool in the house yesterday. I was afraid of major repair!! Wish you lived in NC would have you replace the fuse😀thank you!!
You nailed it! We have this exact oven. Used your link for the fuse. Continuity checker showed it was open Put the new one in and it now works. Thanks for the comments about possible causes. Turns out we also cracked open the door once we finished with the oven and the heat must of gone straight up into the panel. Won't be doing that again.
Your the best!
Yep that is usually the cause of it. The more people who watch this video the less easy money for people like me hahah. Glad to help!
@@BeardedApplianceRepair Hey I would absolutely hire you for my next appliance disaster but your a bit far away!
it works! this video completely solved my problem. thanks!
Can you just come and fix my oven, you make it look ever easy.
Great video.
Awesome. Mine was in wall, a bit did, but, found the fuse. Mine was blown up. I’m in Vancouver, so will try local market. If couldn’t get, will order through your link. Thank you.
I thought I managed to kill my Whirlpool wall oven (model wos92ec0as) by frying the control panel or the control board by leaving the oven door cracked open after baking pizzas at 500 degrees. After looking at the prices for the control panel and control board parts, I debated putting the oven on a Whirlpool extended warranty and wait a month before calling in the repair. Then I debated calling an appliance repair company and just paying the repair bill, which I suspect would cost $300+. After about two weeks of complaints from my wife, I decided to see if RUclips had any videos on problems similar to mine. When I came across this awesome video, I knew what the problem with my oven was and how to fix it. $20 and a day later, after replacing the thermal fuse, my oven is back in operation. Thanks for sharing your knowledge so that average homeowners are empowered to do simple repairs. Expect a small donation from me for saving me a lot of grief.
Outstanding content, thanks for sharing!
Self-clean is one of the best things that ever happened to the service business.
Thank you so much! I fixed my oven! Just a teeny bit sad as my hubby was the one who always opened the door for it to cool, and he was all set to buy a nice new one. LOL! Oh well; a dollar saved...
I have a kitchen aid oven like the oven in this video. My fuse went out while the oven was in auto clean, which means the oven was locked and because the fuse went out while the oven was locked, the oven is still locked and completely inoperable. Since the oven is locked, I cannot access any of the screws that would allow me to pull the oven out and access the fuse behind the display. Is there anyway to bypass the locked oven door or manually unlock it?
Thank you!
Thank You!!!! I have this same oven, had it for 7 years with no issues. I doo the prime rib thing, 16 minutes at 500°F then stand for 2 hours. I also bake custard tarts. 550°F for 12 minutes. And I do sometimes leave the door open a crack. Why would they put a thermal fuse right above where all the heat comes from? AND a proprietary fuse at that. I wish they would just use automotive type mini or maxi fuses. That way you can pop into a local jobber and pick one up. Or at least have a spare in your shop. I guess my cooling fan works cause I can hear it. I'll see how long the new fuse lasts but I'm buying 2-3 of them since they always blow after everything closes.
Hi, your video was extremely helpful. We have changed the fuse but our display is still dead. What else could potentially be causing this?
Thanks man, oven stopped working and didn't know why..
Googled Kitchenaid oven not working and your video popped up with exact oven and symptom of front panel not working.
So took a chance and found a place that had the fuse, swapped it out and viola !!
What are the chances? haha.
Thanks again !!!
Great video 👍
Need advice please…
I have a double oven KitchenAid built-in just like the one in your video.
Was doing a self clean and now have blank screen, so assuming that fuses need to be changed. Major issue…. Unable to open the lower oven door and unable to slide the oven out a few inches to get to the fuses.
What are your thoughts?
Hi thank's for your videos, my kitchen aid broil stop to work, the elements seems good , the oven work perfectly . What could be the trouble. ?
This is exactly what happened to me today. I was ccoking a prime rib at 500 ...turned breaker off. Prime rib was perfect by the way. I just ordered the part and I'll let you know if it works. Thank you so much
These new ovens will drive the seasoned cooks max lol
@@BeardedApplianceRepair Hello. I received the part today and it looks different than what is in the oven. my oven fuse has 2 white connectors and the part I received has 1 white and 1 black. I am trying this my self. I have to clip off the zip ties on the fuse in the oven right? My oven model # is kose500ess02. Thank you. I'm going to read again through the comments
Mine display also not coming but it turns on when I turn on any knob, but heat is still not there. What can be the issue?
This is awesome. Thank you. Where can I see the link to the fuse?
I can’t use the self cleaning option on my whirlpool double oven anymore since the thermal fuse has blown twice. The cabinet it is I must get too hot than the fuse design and it blows. Oh well when the self cleaning option gets up to 900 deg I am sure the interior space can get in the 200-300 deg range. An easy fix to replace but getting that beast out of the wall is not fun. Thanks for video
Thanks Bearded alliance guy. Great video. A question for you.
A different question for you somewhat related.
My display says ‘kitchen aid 30, the correct time and “keypad disconnected”.
Any virtual diagnosis on the fix?
Am assuming whole keypad panel has gone bad?
There was steam/moisture in there immediately prior to failing. Thank you very much.
Need a question - our whirlpool double oven has a mind of it's own. Display will work sometimes and other times shut down(no display). This started after a self cleaning cycle. Turn the breaker off for 24 hours and sometimes will work, other times may take a few hours or days to start working again. Is there a thermal fuse that resets or something like that?
Ovet a year my oven display started fading and then went brighter when the oven was on for a while then it eventually turned dark altogether and then spontaneously turns off. Is that the fuse that you refer to in the video or is it so possibly the display and or control board
Great video. I have the same oven, 4 years old. My panel is not dead but getting an error code F 1E0 Display Board. Can’t clear the code. Do I have to replace the whole board?
Nice job. Please turn the power off when you disassemble an appliance. Very easy to blow an electronic component. Beem there dome that
Great video, my kitchenaid display not working but I can still use the oven, all buttons beap and work. By changing the fuse, would it fix the display? Also try to close the breaker for a minute and put it back on, once it restarted but not anymore but oven still working but no display. Any idea? Thanks
Hey man awesome video. I have a Kitchenaid Superba and it is shutting off completely no power but when I go flip the breaker it comes back on with PF id30 code. I know that is a reset code but why on Earth is it losing power? I have been trying to figure this out for hours. Please help.
I have a kitchen aid superba wall combo microwave, oven wall unit neither is lighting up we lost power ran out generator it worked fine when power came back on I flipped from generator to main line no lights I checked my wall breakers all good ,will both the microwave and oven controlled by the oven fuse or are they separate fancy house I can't even get to the plug for either
Thanks. Could you tell me the specifications of the Fuse? how many Amps?
Good informative video... I've got a question regarding my oven... Is there a way to fix a Frigidaire Gallery oven digital display that is dim and hard to read??? The clock display is fine... The problem is the bake temperature and the bake time setting... They are very dim... Unreadable during the day, but can be read when it's dark outside... I doubt that it is the fuse like in this video or I wouldn't have any readings... Everything else works fine on this oven, so I've let it go for well over a year now... If you've got any suggestions for my situation that is a simple fix, I'd appreciate the input... Thanks for your time... Dave
You can fix it but you will need a new control board. It’s an expensive fix though. If you can’t get the part anymore you can send most of them in to get them repaired through corecentricsolutions.com.
Great Video!! The timer quit on our just our of warranty Kitchenaid wall oven after a power outage that zapped neighborhood appliances. Is that a separate fuse we can locate on the schematic?
If there is one yes, You should see it on the schematic.
Help! I have a Whirlpool wall oven with a dead display. It is Model RBD305PDS14 and has an oven above and below with the single display operating both. Will there be a fuse in this one similar to the oven in your video? Any direction will be appreciated. Thanks. Janet
could be a temp sensor bad power or fusable link or a relay on the control board
The power went out during cleaning cycle and sounds like the fuse in the control panel was blown. The door is in the locked position and the control panel doesn't work. Any thoughts on how I can open the locked door when control panel doesn't work. It's a single oven under the counter and screwed into the wood frame of the counter.
Great video. Our Kitchenaid wall oven has a twist on this diagnosis. The regular oven buttons on the panel do not work, yet the convection ovens work as well as the timer. Is this still a fuse replacement fix or is there something else I should be aware of?
sounds like a control issue to me. I believe i would start with the control panel. That is the part that the touch screen buttons are on.
Answer to question: thermal fuse or also called the thermistor. Once it pops its stuck open.
Hey, liked the video. I have a Jenn air double wall oven model JJW2830DP01, with a dead touch screen control panel. Likely common issue given the steam that comes out of the oven and fogs the control panel. Error F2E1, stuck button or similar. Part, if you can find it, which I haven't, is pricey and I'm not assured that replacement will fix it. Option is used GE model JTD3000SN1SS for less than the new touch screen control panel of the Jenn air, can't find a sed one even though all parts suppliers require a core charge-someone's fixing these things?. GE's control panel is
Hi, do you have a video on how to remove the oven door and take apart to clean the inside of the glass? My model is KGRS308XSS1. Thank you.
My friend, appears the oven model you are using is a bit older than mine. My panel went totally off following self cleaning cycle. I have no readily visible way to remove the panel.
Main Control board is whats wrong if both bake and broiler doesn't work. Main control isn't sending power down to either ignitor?
What if the fuse checks out but the display is still blank and the oven still won’t operate? What would you check next??
I have AOCS3040SS Amana 2003 year shuts down in middle of cooking like flipping switch off. I checked elements, therm new. Control board? I bought Fuse universal $5 it kicks over heat fan on says for Dryer 130C my old part 235 F -35
Thank you for the video, but how do we get to the screws if the oven is stuck in lock mode?
I need to know too!
Hi I’m looking for the link to purchase the part. Thanks!
Bake only does not work.all other oven functions including convection and broil work fine. Just the bake does not. What is happening? Thanks, Ted
Hi My oven won't turn on, mine is electric wall oven. we have black, red, white, green 4 wire connection. connection 4 wires from source to oven as per. the electric oven won't turn on display. we tested the all the wires the power is going to oven. but i see the white neutral wire has power when we tested. the source white no power, but when we connect to oven the white has a power? what is the issue??????????
So I have a double oven and all the lights work normal But the start button will not work. Please help!
Scott
My double oven is stuck on door, so it won't go off so I can use it.. can u tell me how to get that door function off
Can you put some insulation under the fuse to protect it from the bottom? I guess running a jumper wire is out of the question. "Fuses, we don't need no stinking fuses."😀
THe chime on my K"A stove clock has stopped working. Hugly annoying when cooking beceuse I'm not notified when the timer goes off. How do I fix it??
We have a kitchen-Aid oven. Self clean was done and the thermal fuse went. I replaced the fuse, it works now except the display only works on the cooking side. The Clock and timer on the right side will not light up. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
Replacing the control where the lights are would be the only way I would be able to fix it. I'm sure there is a way to do it yourself but that's not my expertise.
what would cause the oven to keep running after you shut it off. I have this same oven and it continues to heat after pushing the cancel button.
bad relay
Thermal fuse, temp. Sensor, control panel, initial power, bad wiring. Need more info
Not sure about Kitchen aid....but if it were a Maytag/Whirlpool.....10 to 1 it's the Thermal Fuse"
Hello, Sir can you help to fix my KitchenAid range oven. The display start is non responding . Thank you.
Says enter probe temp, after probe jack replaced and temperature sensor replaced
Where can I obtain a maintenance manual for a KOSC104FSS
?
It's not the ribbon cable? Where is the link for a fuse to purchase?
Can you tell me how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit on my Kitchenaid wall oven?
I believe there is an option button on those that when you press if enough it will go to the degrees options. If you still have the use and care manual the directions should be in there. I am probably wrong when it comes to this haha.
I have2 8s in the screen but no light inside
What if the thermal fuse blew on cleaning cycle and you can't open the door?
Do I have to remove my cabinets?
what if the door will not open?
Thermal fuse/overemphasized fuse or control board
The link brought me to Amazon but not the item. Are you able to update the link? Thanks BTW for this video, I think it may resolve my issue, I will comment again if I'm successful!
Thanks for letting us know. I have fixed it if you still need it. Yes let us know if that was it!
