Damm, Carlos. I really miss him man. His reviews were honestly the best. He was down to earth, honest, genuine, and had a great disposition. Amazing online presence.
This is how I sprayed this today as I bought it yesterday. 1 spritz behind each ears. 2 spritz both sides of neck. 1 behind neck. 1 on chest. This was 5am this morning and I commute publicly. Train, and bus. It is 2:15pm Chicago time. My co-workers still smell me. Across my desk, hallway, everywhere. Great compliments today! One more thing, I went to lunch with old co-workers at this other building. Receptionist said I smelled good and was like 4 feet away. And my old co-workers loved the smell as we chatted as a group. BEST CHANEL EVER! Beats the 2 previous versions. I love the oil based parfum as it does not sting or irritate my skin.
And then your bottle is empty😂especially the with sprayer of BCL
This parfum is the best
It's like 99% the same as the EDP version tho, not just smell but also performance seems to be the same. There might be a very tiny difference but I can't really tell.

Girls like the Parfum one, bc there is more powdery into it, so girls wear this men frag, for men I like the EDT version bc its more rough.
Love the scent for sure! Great opening! Can smell the sandal wood as a base note after 30 minutes. Sadly after 1 hour, I struggle smelling the scent & have to dig my nostrils into my skin. Though it’s a great scent it lacks performance & projection.
This actually sounds like the exact version I have been waiting for. Thanks guys.

Usually you 2 are spot on. With this one.... absolutely not. Parfum to me blows away edp and edt. I put this one on and 6 hrs later a coworker said wow someone sure smells good I love that cologne. I work in a factory in open air also.

I agree. More concentrated. It last all day with only two squirts. It even lingers after I shower. The perfum is a better version then the other two bleu Chanel. You don't have to bathe in it in order to smell it its definitely noticeable and very pleasant. I say this one is a winner.

Nice to see you two together again, great review guys! I look forward to smelling it, it will take some time for it to arrive where I am. For now I will continue to enjoy my EDP version. What I would really want is for Chanel to come out with something new and different...it is time. All the others fragrance houses seem to be moving ahead while Chanel and standing still. Was really stoked about Parfum because I had expectations of like Dior does their Parfum, Le Parfum versions, strong and incredible performance, rich and almost niche like quality and jet even cheaper. Great and honest review.
Always appreciate your honesty Carlos. I kinda prefer the colour of the bottle, and despite already owning the EdP, I still have to give it a shot. We'll see!
For me the EDT smells the cleanest and has the most vibrant citrus notes along with a nose tingling sensation. The EDT is the safest choice out of the three I think and handles hot temperatures the best. The EDP is my personal favorite and smells syrupy sweet and rich. I think I like it the most out of the three because it balances zingy citrus, smoky incense, syrupy amber, and wood notes; you get the best of everything. The Parfum is also great and smells creamy and more like a traditional cologne to me. It should be able to handle cold temperatures well and might be better suited to someone who likes smoother smelling colognes more than richer ones. They're all great though!

I ordered my bottle from Chanel overnight I was so excited. It really is more of a "skin scent" than anything more close encounter. I totally understand by what Carlos means about being polished. It smells classy and smoothe. I'm only 22 but prefer this kind of scent on a close encounter date. Awesome pick up well worth it!
I loved how you compared all three fragrances. It really helps me get a feel for a fragrance that I haven’t smelled before.

I should of bought the 5oz this is one of my gems in my designer collection.
I liked the EDT more than the EDP. They just made it boring ( "polished") and rounded off the edges. I like the brightest version that still has some edge to it. I haven't tried the Parfum version yet.

Quick question, on the Parfumo website it says Olivier Polge did the Allure Homme Sport Cologne (2013), like his own take on his father's original Allure Home Sport Sport Cologne (2007), which is no longer available. Not a big deal, if correct, that would be his 1st male fragrance for Chanel? Great vid from the Fragrance Superstars as always! I really like how you both always keep it 100, giving all us all the facets of the fragrance. 10ml decant would be awesome!

I loved the Eau de Parfum, but let me tell you guys, I literally fall in love for the Parfum!! The Eau de Toilette don't hold enough the whole day, but with the Bleu de Chanel Parfum, even after a shower you still can smell it, believe me, it's true...it the love at first sight for IMHO

The big difference between Eau de Toilette and the Eau de Parfum or better Parfum, is that you just make 3 spray with the Parfum and that's largely enough...with the Eau de Toilette you have to put A TONE to make it smell. But I don't teach you anything, of course, you already know this, isn't it? But the problem is that the most part of the people DON'T know that...

@@Superpity07 Yeah, I said 3 sprays, but 4 or 5 don't hurt, that's right. I put on wrists neck and the breast, and indeed I noticed that 3 sprays was maybe not enough.

Noooooo i was hoping the pure parfum version would be better at projection. I really do love my edp version a lot, more than the etd. Looks like ill probably pass on buying the pure parfum. I think chanel needs to make a new mens scent now since everyone is kinda disappointed in the latest bdc....

It's not worth getting if you own any of the Bleu de Chanel. Chanel it's probably going to receive a lot of hate for this release.

ifishares I’m already done with my 5oz Eau de parfum bottle. I got excited when I heard about this new formulation. But all the reviews have convinced me to buy the eau de parfum again lol I have a small collection of 12 frags but this is my favorite daily driver. Interestingly Dior Sauvage is my most compliment fragrance even over my Creeds. Aventus, green Irish tweed, and millesime imperial. I don’t understand why women love sauvage so much
Unfortunately companies like Chanel don't care at all because they know pretty well how the market works. The majority of the people (not all!!) don't buy because it smells great but because of the Brand name and Hype, whether it is trendy or not (big marketing budgets!!). Same applies to Clones, not in search of great scents but to be associated with those brand names and things that are hip, trendy, in, though on a budget.
You guys rock. I love the EDT and might get a sample of the Parfum. But thanks for helping me decide!! I love incense and was hoping it would appear in the pure Parfum. Oh well!

Great video guys. I saw this fragrance at the chemist today for 170 dollars for 100 mls here in Australia. Too steep a price for me without a tester bottle to at least have a whiff. It would need to be a killer scent for me to buy it at that price. I voted for u guys again. cheers.

Thanks for the review. This has been my most anticipated fragrance release of the year. I haven’t tried it yet. It’s disappointing that the projection is so soft. Is suspect it’s the best smelling of the Bleu line.
I definitely smell insence and grapefruit in the EdP, even if it's not in the note breakdown. It's my favorite part of Bleu de Chanel.
I love how you liked it and still have reservations recommending it due to price.
Love your collaboration. I mentioned this elsewhere about the fragrance. Uninspiring. Yes. Worth the price. No. Mass appealing. Yes. Better than EDP. No. In my area most young men and proper gentleman wear the same fragrances and this line stands out because the average guy here would never voluntarily sample or wear something with “Chanel” on the bottle. I’ve gotten compliments on EDT and EDP with those wondering “What are you wearing?” Even after all the years and years these have become boring to scrutinizing noses. Bringing new fragrances out for the average person who doesn’t know what a fragrance note is is what I enjoy. I still love expanding my collection to include classics and new compositions but I never forget that around here most people can’t tell you if it’s $30 or $200. Only that you smell fantastic and hopefully entirely unique.

Well both of them are special ..encre noir is more like woody...but blue d chanel parfum is best then edt or edp....

Interesting that you couldn't order it on your phone. I ordered it on my phone on Monday the 7th and there was free overnight shipping for orders $125 and higher. Made my order and got it the next day! I do agree it's steep for a designer release but I don't regret my purchase! Thanks for the review!

Polished is what I like and I think this will be the best one for me. I am almost out of my EDT anyways and will skip the EDP. I don't want my scent jumping out too far for better quality. I am sure the perfume will last longer. Can't wait to try it. Nice job guys.

I think this may have been the most professional review I've ever seen you guys do. It was broadcast worthy!
That said, I would have liked for you to mention the batch code of the Bleu de Chanel edt bottle you have. I'm guessing it's pre-2015. The 2014 IFRA restrictions (along with any US FDA ingredient regulations that have been issued) are so confining as to almost ensure nothing is a powerhouse anymore. Everything has been reformulated since 2014. My 2017 bottles of Azzaro Chrome and Obsession bear no resemblance to any performance review on RUclips. I went to Macy's to spray a tester of Obession to see if It was possible I had a fake bottle and the Macy's tester was just as weak.
A parfum is supposed to create a scent cloud with excellent sillage in at least a 5 ft diameter of space. Bleu de Chanel Parfum should have never been released if they couldn't get it to perform like a parfum. It sounds like it doesn't even perform like an eau de pafum. I'm sure Carlos remembers the classics of the 1980's. *COLOGNES* back then could clear a room! It's very disheartening to hear that this performs more like a cologne of today. Aqua Velva Musk aftershave/cologne is stronger!

I owned the EDT and really enjoyed it. Swapped it because I don't necessarily like everyone being able to nail what I'm wearing. The parfum sounds about what I expected...more well rounded, but too pricey to pull the trigger on.

For me, sniffing Bleu De Chanel is kinda like rubbing tiny bits of rusted industrial metal against my sensitive olfactory sensors, resulting in a raging headache and three hour recovery time. But will I enjoy this one as much? Let me know (or don't), thanks Carlos and Steven.
I’ve tried edp ,edt and I bought the parfum one to me the first two smell more fresh with the woods but the parfum smells mostly woods

For somebody that owned all the three flankers this last one is absolutely the best. so much versatile and sophisticated that all the previous one. the EDT is harsh and messy, too strong for me. the EDP is an improvement of the EDT but also too sharp and have a weird drydown smell ( an old man skin scent, go figure!) but the Parfum is not an improvement on performance or projection but on everything else is just better parfum in general. if never got any of the BLEUs go straight for this one
