- The EZ Detangler brush is SO popular on social media. Based on reviews, it seems to work wonderful for some, and not so great for others so honestly, it depends on the person! However, as for me and my type 4 hair, we've made up our mind on it (be sure to watch my full review for how I feel about this brush).

I'm just a little confused because you're hair looks pretty dry to be detangling on. I'm not sure if that's just what i'm getting from the camera but I never detangle my hair unless it is pretty wet so that the product and shed hairs glide through.
I was just thinking ther same thing! Her hair looked way too dry, especially on the second section.

RaenaJenks I was thinking the exact same thing. She said she put detangling product on her hair, but her hair looks dry as heck.
Hair needs to be more wet and use some deep conditioner not just a lil “detangling” stuff
Something about the way you brushed your hair didn’t sit right with me. It’s like you just barely touched your hair with the brush and immediately said “this is a joke”. I think your review on the brush is the real joke...

I just used this brush on my dry hair and it STILL made light work of my detangling session....get it and try for YOURSELF!! Just get it on Amazon where its cheaper
Why detangle your hair dry?
I wet my hair with water and put a detangler in it. It was surely not dry.
@@DrusillaShay I see what Alandria Daniel was saying. Idk if it was the camera but your hair looks dry in the video. I kept waiting for you to put more product in ur hair. I could never detangle my hair like that. It's kind of cool that u can though

No it is a great brush and I'm coming from the 4C kingdom. I saw that the clip was not on when she was trying. Without the clip the brush is too loose to properly detangle. Pop that clip on and your detangle product and hallelujah! No joke love this brush

I purchased this brush about a year ago... used it once and it’s been sitting on my dresser ever since😩💀. So glad it’s not just me who absolutely hated this brush. I was soo excited to use it, as many influencers made it seem like a must have. It made the process much more tedious and was overall just a bad experience for me. I bought a regular detangling brush from the beauty supply store and it’s been a staple. Works wonders for my hair. Anywho, you have a beautiful head of hair sis. I really enjoyed the video😌✨
I wasn't gonna waste too much coin so I bought a $1.99 one from aliexpress and a $4.99 one from Burlington both look EXACTLY like the real deal so it was a excellent way to try out the brush and when I say I HATED these brushes...it tore my hair out no joke.
These brushes are from China. They are targeting black women with natural hair. They lie and say they’re Black Owned. The fact that they say to brush from root to tip shows that there is a total disconnect from black hair. Also This brush is $3 on Aliexpress but they’re charging way more. And all those brushes are being shipped from China. They were using RUclipsrs’ reviews of the Felicia Leatherwood’s Brush With the Best detangling brush in their ads. I called them out and they kept erasing my comment.

Purchased this brush and it took a month to get to me!!! I was surprised to learn that it was shipped from china. I payed for the professional black brush and the one i recieved was in a crushed box, with nothing on it, there was nothing on the brush with the ez detangler logo at all!! Im kinda pissed because i paid for the professional one and it looks just like all the other ones on Ali Express!! It didnt even work on our type 4 hair...mad waste of money

I brought the brush and it only takes me 4 minutes to comb all of my hair. I have long curly hair so I start at the at the bottom and work my way up. It is a good product but you need to be gentle with your hair. I got my brush a month ago and I bought it from an actual black business. It’s the best comb I have brought to detangle my hair in my opinion.

I think it was going through your hair nicely but then you started doing it weaker and barely brushing it then said it was a joke. It would've been good if you were brushing it as hard as you were with your regular brush.
It’s not going to be the same for everyone’s hair. I’ve seen both videos like this and other videos of people who like it. Try it and find out or don’t. But I wouldn’t completely say it’s not an option because of her review. The feedback is good though.
That brush literally ripped my hair out!! I'm like wtf how did I never see a negative review. Then I'm thinking, it's black owned? Shipped from China and took like a month to get to me?? Okay 🧐

I just admitted to myself after months that the brush has been ripping my hair out because its never been this damn thin. I'm mad as hell, I feel like I've lost a year of hair growth 😖
I learned my lesson from the denman brush years a long time ago that nothing will ever detangle your hair without breakage except using your own fingers coupled with patience. Speaking from experience!!!
What are you guys using because I threw that brush away my hair does not want a second date with that brush
Same thing happened to me. I went from having a nice afro to frizzy hair and my hair growing UNEVENLY. I HAD CLUMPS IN MY HAIR FROM THIS TRASH OF A PRODUCT. I ENDED UP HAVING TO CUT MY HAIR LOW! Stay away from this product!

First honest review with actual tangles. Everyone else seems to have detangle first since there are no snags.

I own one of those brushes and it's the best thing ever happened to me! I detangle my hair very easily when I wash it and it doesn't shed that much. I'm loving my brush so far! 🥰
Try using it with a condition on damp hsir. It works well for me.

I thought I was the only one, I HATED this brush.
I feel like this was a little exaggerated, this brush works well on my 4 type hair, if your hair was more wet with some conditioner it would be great. I think people expecting the brush to work like magic.
Hi- thank you for watching my video. You may see this as exaggerated, but it is completely normal for my experience to be much different from yours. Also, I did an updated video using lots of water and conditioner and it still didn't work for me:

I wasn't expecting the brush to do magic, but at the least, I was expecting it to detangle my hair without that level of pain and pull on my hair. I hope this makes sense.

I hate this damn brush and I do my hair in the show, soak and wet with plenty of conditioner. I've lost so much hair from this piece of shit of a brush smh. I've given it a few tries and even brushed my hair slowly. Nope! I regret using it.
I don't have your kind of detangling brush but it works good when my hair is wet with leave it. But whenever I use mines when it's dry I put Cantu spray/detangler and it just slips with ease.

I just bought one similar to that one (different brand name) and it's AWESOME! Yes, I have medium 4c REALLY coily hair. Cantu products work well for me.

The brush is a NO. I just used it its HORRIBLE
I ordered my EZ Detangler and have not received it yet. It's been almost 2 months. So I ordered look a like from another company off Amazon. It was a 3 pack for $15. I've used the brush and at the outset was not impressed. But it worked and was practically pain free for me. I'm going to give it another try today as I reconditioned my hair to try it and left rhe conditioner in.
I had a version similar to this brush from the “Kiss” brand and idk if it would have the same performance as this brush. However, the difference between the Kiss brush and the denman brush thing I usually used was huge. The only thing that I got was snagging, but easily resolved with splitting my hair into sections. However, it’s a different hair type so the brush is not for everyone sadly.
I've seen it work well on 4c hair.. haven't tried it myself though.
I think preferences also come into play. Been using this detangler for over a year now. My daughter loves it, i love it. Preferences😊😊😊😊

I love the EZ detangler. I use it for detangling when I cowash. I use it without the clip. When my hair is dry, I use the Felicia Leatherwood. It detangles with some pain. But I see the length of my hair as it stretched and nearly straightens my hair

I used to hate this brush until I started using this one leave in that was REALLY moisturizing my hair (aunt Jackie’s quench) then it started gliding through my hair like butter
The Felicia brush is 10x better.
Lol! I'm glad I'm not alone. I guess I'm super tender head like you. I appreciate your detailed information about these brush. I've already tried it. At first, I thought yes it's making a huge difference then later I'm realizing it don't. Like you said it's painful for me. It's not even good when I have matted tangled hair. My hair strands is fine but have thick hair density. Wet brush can get it though I've find a better brush for me.
You are definitely not alone! This brush works great for many people but it's painful for others (like us). Maybe it does have to do with the fact that we have fine hair... I never considered that but you've definitely given me something to think about! I appreciate you sharing your experience.

Put water in your hair and conditioner before detangling. You can’t detangle your hair dry what is you doing 😂

The brush is trash! All of you coming at her for her hair not being wet enough or having enough product are loud and wrong! Not everyone can or should brush and or comb their when it's soaking wet. Damp hair that has a good conditioner with lots of slip is fine. Not everyone can comb their hair when it's soaking wet. It can cause breakage! Smh.
Ok so what brush should people be using then? All I hear is people either saying it good or bad...

Umm you barely tried to put the brush in hair, but with the other brush you used more force and went for it actually putting it through your hair, but you didn’t do argh with the ez brush and also it looked like it was going straight through your hair.

First off she used it wrong. Her hair was dry asf. Your supposed to wet your hair. And I ordered the limited edition panda one and it works wonders. And I have thick 4c hair

It says it on the website to wet your hair or use your favorite moisturizer or conditioner and brush the hair while the product is in your hair. Your hair didnt look very wet

I’ve seen reviews where the hair was a lot wetter than what you have it now with a deep conditioner which went through much easier. Cause not gonna lie a detangler is not gonna help it.

I got this brush and tried using it on my wet air. My hair is like 4b and it does not work at all! Please keep warning people not to buy this brush. At least people with thicker hair. I Was so upset when it came from China and took forever to get to me. So for those that are saying her hair is dry that’s why it doesn’t work, I don’t believe that’s the case.
I have hella thick hair like I use 13 huge sections to comb thick.I put the attachment on the first hole because though my hair is long and thick, the strands are fine.I felt like crying happy tears.I detangled my hair with a non slippy dc in just over an hour.I usually take 6 hrs with a comb.Without the attachment sucks for big sections though and takes a long time.i bought from aliexpress though cause aliexpress had it first and EZ is scamming people

What type of brush was the one you already had with the prints? I need something for my daughters hair wash day is always such a hassle. He hair gets matted and has little small tangles i have to use really amall sections to get through it.

Is it just me or does the brush look like the fake cheep knock offs because the pink colour looks more darker than usual.
All the brushes come from the same manufacturer in China so there will be variation even among the precious EZ.Aliexpress had it years ago so I would EZ just slapped their logo on it

I wish I would’ve watched your video before trying this...I listened to the directions and I have a headache 🤕 from struggling so much with this. It was ripping through my tangles...😪 I feel like such a fool 🙈 for everybody roasting you about “you’re not doing it right” - I used my go to detangler & it still was a nightmare...everything truly is not for everybody 😫
thank you for being understanding! And ouch! That sounds awfully familiar. Don't feel like a fool though... you live and you learn. Sometimes, you won't know if something works well for you until you try it out. & like you said, everything isn't for everyone. I've even tried it out again (with soaking hair filled with conditioner) and it still didn't work so I've done all I can do lol

Based of the comment section, it seems the EZ Detangler is best for wet detangling when your hair is drenched with tons of slippery conditioner. Not damp hair.
And that's okay.
Watched this video when it first dropped but actually got it and used it last night (from Shanique Buntin also formally known as Journeytowaistlength) and putting it on the second bar the one lower then the top bar and the brush worked best for me that way in larger sections. I have fine, medium density hair and the brush actually worked really well in larger sections in which I didn’t have to put too much pressure on my small sections. I used it to detangle my hair BEFORE washing with lots of water and conditioner (Giovanni 50:50 balancing conditioner) and it really worked for me. Hair stats: Kinky 4B/4C, fine strands, medium density, high porosity, medium length. I think a more fine haired and medium density like mine would appreciate the flexibility because my hair easily snaps. Lastly I started from the bottom ends to roots and that worked best for me. Hope this helps someone.
