Why aren't there cars like those today?
They’re expensive to make and they put out a lot of exhaust which isn’t good for the environment. But I agree that we should make these cars again.

Never understand if parts of the car are not available for several decades, how can you still keep those car running....
they use parts from other cars. Many cars (the old ones) no longer have the original engine.
Improvisation and ingenuity. Internally, many of these cars have morphed into something very different from stock.

Cuba is so fascinating.
Great looking cars from a distance but they are held together with whatever is available. i rode in a mid 50s Buick with a Skoda steering wheel for example. Lovely place, lovely people.
