He walked from the west bank of Chao praya river along Krung Thonburi Rd toward east bank of the river by crossing King Taksin Bridge toward Shangrila Hotel. Check out landmark point in google map "Vue". He continued on a general route along Charoen Krung Rd toward China Town, makes a few detours left and right turns to avoid road constructions and congestion. He was walks passed Old Siam Plaza toward Wat Su Thatsan Thep Wara on Siri Phong Rd, make a few left and right turns toward Democracy Monument continue Ratchadamnoen Klang Rd and ended at Khaosan Rd.
satith sarasart Well explained, thank you. I was guessing while watching the video. I miss BKK so much 😯. Am Asian but I grew up and live here in Germany. Am a Thailand lover though. Have flown to bkk every month the past 15 yrs.
Carlos Lunghard hi carlos am asian too. like you, i live in the US. I love BKK. I just came back from my vacation in Thailand. I stay in BKK one week and it was too short for me. I came alone thought, hay may be next trip we can hook up trip to bangkok together. You may know more places than I.
satith sarasart Hi Satith ☺ That'll be great if we could hang out together in bkk. I'd love that. And you're right, one week's too short actually Let's keep in touch. I use LINE and what's app. If you use any of those, we can use it or otherwise kerp in contact by email.
Carlos, that is great. Let's keep in touch via e-mail. I will going to signup for what's app. will let you know my call name. You mentioned that you travel to BKK every month for the last 15 years? How are you manage to do that considering the cost and time?
坐在家里打开电脑跟着楼主周游世界,这感觉真是太好了。谢谢楼主!(Sitting at home turned on the computer with the landlord to travel around the world, this feeling is really great. Thank you for the building!)
Wow, it's been five years since I've been there, time to get back. This video brings back the memories, the sites, the noise, and I can almost smell it again. Thanks!
Misty Lilac Wow I very surprised to hear that for us(Thai people) we need more clean and organized like Singapore and for Bangkokian view this is just normal for Thailand's city.
Good Job! Feels like I'm there, walking the streets...the good thing is that I don't have to walk but am still able to enjoy this little moment and suck it in!
I really enjoyed this video and now subscribed to your channel! After watching countless traveler videos of Thailand, which are mostly shit travel blogs, this has been the most pleasing video of what’s to come on my trip there. Thank you and I look forward to watching your other videos!
love this. i lived for three years in BKK and miss it. One of my favorite things to do was just what this video shows: walking around and getting lost. Mostly I liked nights because of the heat in the day. Huay Kwang, Ratchada, CocoWalk area... so much to that city. A lot of it is about the feel of the place. Something in the air. It works on you.
How do you manage to stay cool while walking through so many, not only hot, but extremely humid places? Above and beyond your excellent camera skills is the stamina required.
what a great video and a good insight into Bangkok as people go about their daily lives ...unincumbered and free to do what they will .a thriving city ..loved it..well done
I’d like to visit Bangkok someday. It’s like Manila, but in this video, Bangkok’s streets and sidewalks are cleaner and hygienic. Even the electrical street wires are orderly. Roads are wider. And better than Manila’s chaotic traffic I think. Filipino-American watching from L.A. California.
Another great video which gives one the true sense of what walking the city must truly be like only thing missing is the smells, so get on that will you..haha Seriously I thoroughly enjoyed the video and if possible I'd give it two thumps up. I gotta ask do you ever simply get lost?
God I miss it! That compare to almost 70 centimetres of snow and frigid temps, I need a goo shrink. Some of my favourite places in the world on this walk. Thanks for making me home sick 😀
From my experience I found Thais were not overly polite with me. Out of 10 thais that I met 7 were not nice even sometimes racist whereas 3 were nice. This racism was clearly evident when I was treated different to a white person for the same service. When I went to Taiwan I found 7 out 10 people there were nice, friendly and helpful to me.
Might it not have helped if you also took shots of the signs showing the street names? It would have been a very useful indicator and a reference point as to where you are and which locality it is whose street you're walking on. It's hard to guess from just looking at the buildings and narrow roads and foot bridges, etc, especially since I probably haven't even been to that particular area. I have a project suggestion though, which I had wanted to do during my stay there. I wanted to walk and film the long stretch of the boulevard that the BTS route covers, only I would be starting from Ratchatewi up to Mo Chit. I discovered that that long stretch is like a mini showcase of what BKK urban life feels and looks like. The stretch has smaller malls, some supermarkets (like Big C) and a host of sidewalk food carts and food stalls selling a variety of home cooked Thai dishes or just the usual list of noodles (which I love). Suffice it to say, I'm sure you'll get stuck for most of the project in the roundabout station known as Victory Monument with all the flea markets and food stalls there. (I of course recommend you have a sturdy stomach when you try out the food stalls there. I have had two separate bouts of food poisoning from eating food there about which some Thai friends cautioned me). You might want to make Siam Square your starting point but if it was me, I'd rather do it from the BTS skywalkway otherwise you get stuck in the human traffic down in the streets. If ever I was to say which it is that provides me with the best memory of BKK, it is the BTS ride from Ratchatewi to Saphan Kwai (I rarely make a trip to Mo Chit except when it's really necessary and taking the train from Siam Square has the inconvenience of paying a bit more. What can I say? I'm a miser lols). Anyway, I really enjoyed this cruise of yours (the sights are sending electric shocks to my body as I try to reminisce) and I hope you could give thought to my suggestion. Keep cruising, keep filming. And always look to your right first when crossing the road ^_^
+tuberobotto Google maps>>>> Krung Thonburi Rd and Charoen Nakhon Rd>>>the walk starts around there and then crosses the river on to Sathon Rd. Check it out
Thank you for this beautiful video, but how did you did it? no quake, fluidity complete, not too sped but too speed I think for make it in walking. I would like to understand and to know how you did. Thank you.
Great video! Like other people have said below, it's almost like being there with the HD on full screen. I've been to Bangkok twice, and we all know how hot it is, so did you walk solidly for the whole time? I hope you had a bottle of water with you! It would have been helpful to see the street names, though. Thanks for posting.
nice walk. watched in two parts/sessions. Always an adventure walkin' in Bangkok. No stop for water?! amazing... Midday is a killer w/the heat. I've walked this route north- more or less, Sathon/ Taksin pier area towards Chinatown on up to the Grand Palace/amulet market...I like the districts/neighborhoods near Chao Phraya river.
Why don't you try walking in the big -shopping district such as MBK, paragon, the view of human-made construction is so beautiful especially at night. The view of Lumpini park located among many tall skyscrapers is so amazing! I Love Thailand.

satith sarasart That wasn't really that expensive ☺ I was a flight attendant for 25 yrs.
I watch this every couple of months. Inspiring to me. Thank you. Been watching your stuff for years.
Excellent video, really gives a sense of life on the city streets. This is what I have been looking for. Well done, and thank you.
This is so beautiful. Absolutely stunning. My life dream is to succeed financially so I may travel like this someday.
i am dirt poor and dong this
kees Colijn How are you able to travel like this if you are dirt poor?
i monetized my videos , that makes me a little money, and savings , which are almost gone now
You don't need too much money to travel or be financially secure right away..

Bangkok Amazing
What camera are you using?
I like your how to present in video.
Thank your video..
Very nice very beautiful sir thanks
keezi walks,
Very well done. Thank you for the video upload.
Most people do not bother to video such a long 2 hour record.
But you did and shared it with us all. Which is good.
Others may think it is boring.
I like Bangkok too.
And I like to do street photography of normal people going about their everyday lives.
So this video is what that is about.
Videography-wise, The video is very smooth with the anti-shake.
It glides well from one scene to another.
Were you using Go-Pro or a similar brand?
Also, as digital video cams have a EU-imposed 30 minute recording time limit; Maybe you have joined the four 30 minute segments in a post process video edit.
Your normal walking speed cannot be that fast, as the video scene transitions show.
Maybe you had increased the speed of playback in a video edit?
Or were you using an electric motor personal mobility device (electric scooter)like a Segway?
I suggest you buy a Holux (I have one) or other GPS tracker device which can track in great detail your entire journey. With the provided software, you can playback and view the GPS track on the PC later on.
The camera is very steady, how do you do that?
Mark Morse practice
optic image stabilisation
