Thanks. Didn't know about that line.
A short line to the yard 👍😊 Glad you liked it 👍 😊
So that's what that big long extra track after the yard is? When I saw Wyndham Vale North in the title at first I thought they'd renamed that siding down past Greens Rd and just before Black Forest Rd, which was built along with RRL and always called Wyndham Vale South. I guess that's a logical name. But living in Werribee and regularly using RRL (I get off at Tarneit though mostly which you just sped through, I prefer Wyndham Vale as a station but the buses are way more frequent at Tarneit. Suppose they have to be given how many people get off there), I always love seeing videos on it. It's changed A LOT as a corridor in the nearly 10 years since it was built and opened (can you believe that, feels like yesterday I was strolling around at Footscray when it was getting built), that yard is just one new addition. Those two new (well one is rebuilt) bridges before and after Tarneit are another.
Now you know what that track is 👍 Yes, time waits for no-one. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😊
My chariot today was VL56 to Bendigo for a visit and VL65 back to Melbourne. Of course I did wonder whether you were out driving today! Great video as always 😊
I'm usually around somewhere. Very happy you enjoyed it 👍 😊
I see that the overheads are primarily lighting but I wonder if it’s just future proofing for the Wyndham Vale electrification project that’s planning to happen?
Yes, those rumours abound but I would guess that they will build new structures for the overhead wires when ever the sparks arrive 👍😊
@@driver667 hope so, would be great to have growing suburbs like Wyndham Vale and Tarneit be apart of the metropolitan train network and still resume the ongoing regional services to Geelong and Warrnambool
@@enza8533 👍😊
Amazing that line when I was with Elz we did ballasting and trackproving work .I worked with the late George bambery.
The line is almost like a little branch line. 👍😊
Would’ve love to do the speeds they do now on the branches, imagine the chaos,👍👍
@@driver667 imagine doing the speeds they do now on the old branches…oooh the chos,👍👍
@@peterredfern1174 I'd just like to see some of the old branches still open... 😀👍😊
When I ws a fireman, ran out on the skipton and newlyn lines,wh relieving at Hamilton, worked the Casterton and coleraine lines.👍
Believe it or not that N class was in Kerang and I took a video and some pictures of it.
👍😀
That n class and velocity trains were very loud what’s the speed limit there?
The speed limit on the main line there is 160kph 👍😊
Why did you get a red signal, when you didn't even need to go onto the two main tracks?
I’d suggest that either the 6 car vlocity or the 3 car vlocity that we’re heading to Melbourne might have been occupying Wyndham Vale North Siding.
Yes, the Wyndham Vale North siding was occupied by the 6 car VLocity that came out. We had to wait for it to clear 👍😊
@@driver667 got it, I thought the last VLocity travelling at slow speed was due to another in front of it. Guess that could be it if it was heading out of the siding.
@@HDDTX 👍😊
What are the overheads for?
Overheads are for lighting 👍😊
