Glad it helped!
Great tutorial!
+Momen Kazi Thanks!
Great job man. Was curious how you tucked those wires so well. Did you have to drill another hole? Thanks
I think I clamped the wires to the same fasteners I used to hold the gauge to the dash.
anyone can help me

Hi buddy I’m adding a tach gauge to my 2007 350 Z where can I get the tach signal from?
Try off a coil or injector.
Did you leave your tach connection the original cluster so that both the auto meter and cluster both read rpms? I’m installing a completely new cluster in my 91 mustang, and was going to remove the auto meter tach. Now after watching your video I’m not sure I want to remove the auto meter tach and just have the rpm’s read both on the cluster and keep the auto meter and shift light.
I left them both hooked up. The Autometer tach was definitely more responsive in keeping up with the engine.
@@AnthonyJ350 yeah, I ended up doing the same. I do like the cluster, but think it was best to just leave it hooked up.
Please help me, how can i hook up a aftermarket tach on my e46 320i? Its fuel injected
You can use the injector pulses to give you a reading.
What kind of led did you added?? What is the size and part number?
hai bro .. can i install this rpm meter on 3cylinder engine?
Yup, is it fuel injection
Does installing a aftermarket tachometer work if the original tacho on the dash doesn’t?
It should. All depends where you get the signal
AnthonyJ350 where could I connect it to get a signal then?
@@GraphiczTV Coil or injector. What does the manual recommend?
Hello ..can i ask a question if you dont mind..i have the same tachometer..and im thinking to install to my 3 cylider ecosport..its posible?and where can i connect the green wire..sincw the 3 cylinder has a 3 seperate ignition wire..unlike the 4 cylinder..thanks
You have to find the wire that pulses with your multimeter.
@@AnthonyJ350 i hace a car with a coil pack ignition..i mean they had a seperate wire every ignition coil..i had a dought.in which coil should i connect the green wire from my external tach...or should i connect the green wire directly or tap it to the wire of the tachometer of my car..at the back of dashbord?thanks..
@@matthewreguyal4907 Most invidual coil packs will have one wire that is different if you inspect all the plugs. That's usually the firing wire. That will be more accurate than piggybacking off the factory feed.
@@AnthonyJ350 bit which on of the 3 seperate ignition coil that i have?one RUclipsr told me that its find that i can tap the wire of my external tach .
To the factor tach of my car at the back of my clúster board..perhaps im still confuse that maybe they going to pop up some warning to my dashboard..thanks for help..
Got enough air fresheners? I mean I love how you made my job so much easier on how to hook it up but couldn’t help those air fresheners 😂😂😂
S10 Madness Not my car but good onservation.
Hey I have a foxbody related question. I just put a Sport Comp 3904 tach in my car and now it’s rev hanging and idling a little funny. Is it possible I would require a base idle reset after installing the tach?
You only installed a tach? Nothing else changed?
@@AnthonyJ350 nothing else. However I did do it wrong the first time, I wired the red to the illumination circuit because I tried using an “add a circuit”. Now the red is spliced into the red with green stripe wire under the column with an inline fuse attached
@@gregv8570 You can try to disconnect the battery for a few hours (hit the horn button after to discharge the caps). Then try driving the vehicle around to relearn everything.
@@gregv8570 How are you getting signal from the engine?
@@AnthonyJ350 it’s an 88 5.0, so I took it from the negative side of the coil. Green wire with a yellow stripe I believe. I just used a scotch lock to splice the green wire from the tach into that wire
my got cables blue Green. black white red and yellow dud known how GOS
Hi installed auto meter tachometer connected as per pamphlet needle moves to sluggish in comparison to engine Rpm 4 cyl PLEASE help Thanks
Is there anything in the manual about calibrating it depending on how many cylinders the engine has?
Mr, how to instaling which injeksi engine
It won't matter which injector.
Hi i have a Mustang 1990 5.0 Fox body Where I connect the cable to the tachomemeter?
Did you watch the whole video?
Yes
I just need to connect the green wire but I don't know what cable is? Can it be the same as the one you use?
@@juanpadilla792 Should be the same ignition system
it is the same only the colors of wires are different
As I install in a Honda Civic ex coupe 2002, where can I get the signal rpm
Julio Ochoa There's a test plug under the hood of those cars. Try a Google search
AnthonyJ350 could you tell me through a photo which is the test plug
can't find out where to hookup my green wire I ran it to the coil pack icm purple wire and not sure what else to try I've got a 92 Buick LeSabre
davon w your problem is it's a fucking le sabre lol
Stock tach isn't working. 331 carb set up. Had a aftermarket tach. Want stock tack. What wire is the stock tack.
No idea, you have to refer to wiring schematics in your service manual.
Could it be installed in a 1 cylinder ninja bike? And its a carburetor
In theory yes. You'll have to test the 12 volt wires on the ignition system with a multimeter.
@@AnthonyJ350 yes thank you for your reply anthony, i have just found out that only autometer gauge size 3 3/4 that could read 1 cylinder engine, this one on the video seems like a 5” sport comp that read 2-8 cylinders.. i would go with a defi gauge since its more simpler 👍
@@dimaskalbuadi8080 Glad you figured out a solution! Make sure to read the instructions carefully
@@AnthonyJ350 yes anthony, thanks mate

WHY DO MY GAUGE NOVES UP REAL SLOW WHEN I REV IT UP IN PARK I THINK MY PICK COIL IN THE DISTRIBUTOR IS BAD OR MY IGNITION CONTROL MODULE I GOT 1990 BLAZER 5.7
What tach are you running?
AFTER MARKET GAUGE
@@thedobermangang3503 What brand?
Hlo ter mine tachometer and car rpm matches while driving but when revving in idle it doesn't match with cars rpm
Try recalibrating it.
@@AnthonyJ350 I did

ho to install tach on engine with 4 coils on plug
You have to find the wire that pulses. There's typically a pin location where the wire colours don't match. You can test and verify with a multimeter.

so many air freshers!
So you don't have to shower and can keep racing
My autometer rpm guage is responding slow
Where did you get signal from?
hello
Sadly, someone stole your video: watch?v=uI2aalLC_-Y
Can you send the RUclips link?
How to instal..he is talking too much that and that...come on"
Be more patient and watch the whole thing.
That car already had a tachometer, this installation is just plain dumb.
This one is bigger, has a shift light and can record and is more accurate than the factory tach. All important at the drag strip, even though it is an automatic.
As soon as he called the igntion control module the coil, I stopped taking him seriously.
Mason Holloway Thanks for the feedback!
Mason Holloway Guess what? Still made it work!
