Well said. I think authenticity is the most undervalued quality in RUclips content creators. Those who have conversations instead of jamming products down people's throats always seem to be the kind of creators I follow more often.

I’m thinking specifically about iPhones. I love when creator’s compare the latest and greatest but then. Say “if you have the previous model you don’t need to upgrade… but if you have X model or older… then it’s worth considering”
They are highlighting what to consider.
Telling me “I need” doesn’t fit right… basically for the reasons you shared here.
    👍🏻

Some awesome shots at the end. I like honesty, not so much somebody telling me you need or should. It's a red flag.

So True Brian!! I only review products that I like, there's been several that I didn't and I couldn't make the video for it, and when I do, I always disclose its an affiliate or I was given the product. Great video Brian!!! 👍

You NEEEED to switch to Davinci Resolve!! 🤣It's definitely getting out of control. YT used to be a place where one could go to learn and explore - now it feels like one big non-disclosed ad after another. Even if it is disclosed, it's still not adding much value. If I can't make great content with what I have, I suck, not my gear.

Yea … I really am inpired by those that make killer content with simple gear. I dont need new cameras, but … but …
Lens too, now the vintage thing has bitten me. Thank goodness they are less expensive! In the end, it’s not the gear, its who’s using it.

Brian G didn't know you had another channel than your main this is awesome found it by accident... Heard your voice in the intro I was like... Ohhh snap it's Brian G... I gotta subscribe... I agree with this as an outdoor hunting/ fishing channel anytime a new archery product drops there is 8 thousand videos about that new bow that cost $1200+... It gets kinda old cause everyone is giving the same review of information... Thanks for the video we all fall into this trap of the newest gadgets are the best..... If it anit broke don't fix it

FOMO sells..I've unsubed to SO many influencers over the last couple of months and it has really helped. I certainly don't have a problem with people trying to make a living but when EVERY video is an advertisement for a different product I had to let them go, mainly b/c their content provided nothing of value for ME. Same reason I have a huge no soliciting sign in front of my business and I immediately hang up on telemarketers

I've yet to see an influencer specifically tell someone to "Buy X". It's all glowing reviews, yes, but not an endorsement to "must buy". That's just FOMO kicking in with the viewer. You just gave a good example with DaVinci Resolve.
