What are your thoughts on that rod for our rainy river sturgeon?
Initial thoughts is that it would work great, but need to test it a bit more.

I might have to get one! Do you know who I would contact to check on my cast net permit? I mailed it 2 or 3 months ago.

What's a huge channel 25lbs ? Not being smart honestly asking what you're calling huge
Definitely not worth $180
The OG Madcats are waaaaay over powered and too physically heavy. They remind me of old glass deep sea boat rods. Their heavy is more like XXHeavy. They also put their reels seats on backwards. That is the ultimate deal breaker.
