I expected it to be much, much worse. But it seems to make sense for games of its era and older games and it was certainly a better option in 2009 than a GT 1030 is today.
@@adampinnock7750 Obviously not what I meant. Of course the much newer GPU which didn't even exist in 2009 is faster. But compare the performance of a GT 130 to the performance of other GPUs of its era, let's say an HD 5870 because nvidia didn't do too well in 2009, and you'll realize a 5850/5870 is about 4-5 times faster. There's probably something wrong with me, but I much prefer this sort of stuff to current gpus or mid to high spec gear from the last half dozen or so generations (although not for everyday use of course). Theres just something a lot of fun about round hole / square peg style computing. Ever consider going the other way by the way? Running older games on more powerful hardware and seeing what sorts of crazy framerates you can combine with crazy high and crazy low resolutions. Also fun :)
I think you should probably check the Euro Truck simulator 2! Because it's good for benchmarking I find that out recently! The tunnels in there is the same as Forza Horizon 5 and it's more intensive! It has a lot of vegetation and because of the massive world, it's intensive! Specially recently, the added Russia to the game which made it more intensive than it was before!

BTW thanks for making my day with such a beast of a graphics card, you sure your 5900X can keep up? Might be bottlenecking.
I believe I could have experienced one of the best OverClock results on this card ever. I used cooling from my former Sempron 939 3000+ which was Cooler 64 pro with beautiful heat pipes. The card was sitting on this heating on the bottom of the tower and strictly adhered to the card GPU providing excellent cooling. I was able to bring stable GPU clock to 750 Mhz which was the maximum available clock without increasing GPU voltage. The shame I can not find any historical print screens on my HDDs. It was excellent choose considering really low prices around 60-70$ combined with also pretty cheap Dual Core.
Me as a player witch plays a 640:480 and plays on very low graphics this is pretty good. The ratio of what year to what year games i can play are from 2009 and down. You actually got my intrest in this graphics card so i might buy it

It's worth mentioning that Minecraft, like many other constantly updating titles, could drop support for certain GPUs at any moment. For example, any version since 1.17 will require OpenGL 3.2, so any GPU released before 2009 will likely be confined to 1.16 or below.
Once the specs of a GPU are high enough, the memory bandwidth becomes very important for performance I feel. Despite being DDR2 that huge memory bus and higher ROPs/TMUs means it performs similar to the GT 610 despite its age and low clocks. Good video as usual. Dota 2 being broken might be the lack of Directx11 support with this card. Some cheap GPUs (at least in the US) to try out include the: Radeon HD 8490 (an overclocked HD 6450) Radeon HD 7570 (an underclocked HD 6670, usually has GDDR5 memory!) R5 240 (an overclocked HD 8570 but with a 64-bit memory bus so actually performs worse) and the GT 430 (the 128-bit bus version rivals the Kepler DDR3 GT 730).
